OMG, I so understand. I've been in 😭 before for the same issue. Please though, don't give up on guide dogs. In my opinion, I do believe for me, they offer greater independence and guidance than a cane alone. My best friend is my GD and without him I'd be less mobile, despite the frequent refusals. However I do understand where you are coming from. You are not alone and together we'll fight this.
I've bedn refused by taxis and shops so many times its so upsetting. Im wIting for my third dog now I refuse to let these people get to me. Be strong, keep fighting your happiness is greater x
I am so so sorry you are also experiencing this frustrating humiliation. It happens here in the States too. It’s embarrassing having attention brought into yourself for something out of your control. Especially when there are laws out there that are supposed to protect you.

I’m sorry for you having experienced so many access denials and that you have found it’s getting worse with time. I would’ve hoped it would get better with time and more awareness and education. We have similar issues here in the US and I don’t understand why people particularly business owners and employees are not more educated about the law

Yes it's really disheartening to think that the situation feels like it's only getting worse and we are in 2023 so what with all of the education and awareness surrounding guide and assistance dogs I don't understand why businesses and services are still not understanding the law, or even taxi companies. Just blows my little mind. I get so upset because I have to contend with feeling anxious every day just to live the life I choose Because I happen to work with a guide dog.
