- Kicking off my third year at Northeastern University! I moved into a brand new building (LightView) and I'm living with my best friends. I'm so excited to see what this semester brings and I'm ready to work hard and live my best life :)

Dorms like these are better where everyone has their own rooms but share a bathroom and have a kitchen

@@yannik3708 Lightview apartments at Northeastern (off campus for NU students only). Price depends on room/roommates I think around $1600+ per month

@@TiffanyElizabeth ive seen many college move in day videos and most of the dorm are very comfy compared to mine. You'll be shock once you see our dorm😂 we shared bedroom either with 1 roommate or 3 rommates, no kitchen, cant cook in the dorm even if its "apartment style"😂 anyway, goodluck with your study!😊

I chose 4 Bed - 2 Bath A Private Bedroom! I feel like the layout of my unit is slightly different than the way it's shown on the website for floor plans though since our entrance is between the bathrooms areas, not right into the living space/ kitchen

I'm fucking jealous I can’t afford a school like this and the dorms for SUNY schools are terrible they’re all run down and have no AC (at New Paltz). I hope you enjoyed the dorms while you were there!! GL this semester :)

How is Lightview? I’ve heard it was nice but not as well run as expected (I lived in Dav B this year)
hm a lot of people have mixed reviews, but I honestly can't complain! It's so upscale and fancy compared to any other dorm/ apartment on campus, and it has a gym, laundry room, and nice lounge area. and I always see people cleaning which is reassuring

Class of '03 coming in. Where is Lightview?? Jeez not to sound old but we had options like Cunard St Apts and the YMCA...love what the campus looks like now!

I'm from Germany 25 and done with university idek why I'm watching those videos but like.. I like this place much better than Harvard from what I saw in regards of the sleeping places etc. (and yeaaaa I know Harvard is great)

I'm not sure what the availability is like rn, but there are apartments with 1 double, and then apartments that accommodate 4 people (with a ton of configurations for this) for example I live in an apartment with 4 singles! however, only juniors and seniors can live in this specific building! hope this helps :) and good luck!!!

yes, lightview is much newer than the other dorms, but international village is also nice imo :)

We were able to look through floor plans and choose a couple of units (as a preference) based on that, but they ultimately assigned us one based on availability!
I was wondering how you stopped on the street and were able to move all your stuff in the middle of the city... does everyone have movers?
Thankfully, my building was able to block off that street for the day that everyone was moving in and they provided us with those bins and movers! A lot of NEU resident buildings do something like this, where you pull up your car and people help you unload it and then you can take the bin up to your room

I go to Northeastern which is in Back Bay/ Roxbury and I'm majoring in Accounting and Management Information Systems. I'm currently on co-op so I'm not taking any classes, but during my fall semester (when this was filmed) I took Financial Reporting and Analysis II, Organizational Behavior, Integration Systems, and Advisory Emerging Systems.
