The Northeastern Coop program worked great for my son. He got AP credit for two semesters and took 3 semesters before his first Coop. He needed a change from classes. He got his Coop and said the classes he took helped in his job The money from the Coop introduced him to money management. He wanted the independence his own money gave him. He took the job seriously and excelled in the position. I call it a job because for 6 months it is a job. Often the Coop turns into part time while studying. Ultimately he did 3 Coops and graduated with Masters in Applied Mathematics. He received a job offer from all three Coops. Currently working for the third Coop. Also, as a sophomore. after working 40 hrs per week he was glad to get back to classes with renewed enthusiasm. He studied in California. He studied at London School of Economics. Northeastern has a robust infrastructure to study off campus Northeastern web site will show that the off campus courses that are accepted and they accept the grades. The student can explore all of the universities world wide and determine the courses they can take and know Northeastern will accept that course. This is underrated how good this is.

Thank you so much for this video! I'm a senior in highschool and I fell in love with NU. However, I'm a prospective CSSH student (political science and criminal justice or political science and international affairs), and I come from a tiny town where we don't have many AP classes available, or many huge opportunities to put on college apps. There are 7 APs offered at my school and I will have taken 4 of them by the time I graduate. I got 5s on both the ones I have already taken. I am class president, in NHS, Student Council, and leader of two other clubs. I'm not submitting my SAT scores because they aren't very good, and my school doesn't do GPA or rankings (we are proficiency based), but I would be at the top of my class with the equivalent of something over a 4.0. I volunteer and have work experience. My essay is pretty good and I'm going to apply ED in November so I still have some time to perfect it, but do you think Humanities majors would have an easier time getting into NU than STEM/Business majors? I know my stats aren't the best but I really really want to go to NU. I also don't mind as much if the programs for humanities aren't as funded, I looked at the coop posters for political science + criminal justice and I was almost foaming at the mouth because I want to go here so badly. Sorry for the excessively long comment, but your video was so informative and wanted to see if you could answer my question :)
