Very good review! You were spot on about what makes the show good, and I agree with the low points you pointed out. I doubt that a network will ever renew the show, but we as fans keep it alive! I thank you for that.
For a while when I started high school, I seriously considered a career in animation, and one of the things I hoped to do was reboot MLAATR in some form, though probably not for TV, and probably not on Nick, but instead from one of Viacom's other properties (like Paramount.) I eventually decided against that, and I'm not sorry because hand-drawn traditional animation is dying a slow, painful death, and nobody would want my kind. But we don't need the show back to be fans. Look how many fans Star Trek still has decades after it was cancelled, or Buffy the Vampire Slayer (which, incidentally, was an influence on the formation of Jenny as a character), or Samurai Jack, etc.
If this show got rebooted, I'd like to see more of Jenny's sisters, especially since one of the last episodes of the old series hinted that Wakeman was going to rebuild all of them, possibly making them better now that she knows what worked with Jenny. They were always so interesting and it made it such a shame that they were so rarely featured.
I always found it weird that last episode was the one they ended on. Like, it didn't even resolve anything. It felt like any other episode tbh. Like seriously? I felt like there was suppose to be more episodes made.
Seriously though, I liked the idea of it but it seemed more a series special than anything. It didn't help the fact that some of the new characters introduced in the finale were robotic copies of the sidecast (yeah it's meant to be a parallel but still).
My Life as a Teenage Robot Fanbase Yeah, I think you're right. This episode,Escape from Cluster Prime and the last episode of the series. I think in general the last episode wasn't very satisfying at all for the way the show went out. The closest we got to a "finale" shall we say is Escape from Cluster Prime but then more episodes were made after that special. I think if I were to make an ending for the series it be one about Jenny questioning whether she herself wants to be a hero or a normal teen. And even finding her own purpose in life rather than what her creators wants her to be.
Wendy The koopling Ikr when will they learn idk when but to sum it up they been like this for 12 years now and they still haven't realized that cancelling a show that a lot of people like for stupid reasons is completely retarded I hope that one day nick gets a president that isn't as ignorant as the one they have now.
I loved this show back then and still do, flaws and all. The Art Deco-inspired style was a wonderful choice; the contrast between a futuristic setting and an art design rooted in the mid-1900's tickles my sensibilities. Jenny is one of the better cases of a well-done female protagonist because her sex/gender is not often brought into the forefront and her autonomy sets an example that any little boy and girl can follow. And the treatment that this show got, and much of the Nicktoons from that generation, was undoubtedly heinous. Yes, because casting away brand new episodes to the 6AM timeslot is a brilliant idea. /sarcasm As for whether or not I'd reboot it, yes, I would love to, but oddly enough, I wouldn't do so for any of the three major networks. It would be for Netflix, because...well, it's Netflix, and it's awesome. Speaking of a reboot for this show, I'm sure you're aware of one that currently exists? It's an unofficial one, of course, but from the looks of it, it's promising.
+The One and Only C. R. Martin I keep hearing that Netflix is his haven for animated shows. I should check out what they have. Great input man! Looking forward to your videos as well.
More than a reboot we need a continuation. Season 3 was clearly setting up several portracted arcs which were left hanging when the series was cancelled (was it actually cancelled?). As for it's rights being transfered to Disney XD... Probably not a good idea considering they are currently airing a similar show. Still there's series around that would deserva continuation or reboot a lot more.
babehunter1324 I don't think the show was set up for any real arcs aside from fighting Vexus, Misty and the Melody episodes. Renzetti wanted to do a season 4 though.
Not sure if you knew this, but someone by the name of Nathan Altenbern is creating a fan-made reboot of the series with two new seasons. It's called MLaaTR: Rebooted (original name, I know) and I think they said it would be released somewhere in 2018.

I even rewatched the show like 5 years ago and I still don't remember much anymore either, but there was an ongoing narrative and some character development if I recall.
The only reason I wouldn't want to reboot this is because I feel like society as a whole doesn't understand what it's like to be a 'teenager'. They either market it to younger children and glorify it to meet their ideals or market it towards adults and darken it to meet our negative connotations with adolescence. The representation of teenagers in media is just strange, mostly because teenagers don't participate. I suppose it would be interesting but I wouldn't touch it. Just imagine the cliches...
I didn't even get to see half of the my life as a teenage girl series i only saw the first episode and some more but that was it then the ending came so quickly and since they removed my life as a teenage robot i haven't watched nickelodeon for 4 years.

I'd like to see it as an anime, Not like PPGZ, I don't want it to be a Magical Girl anime, rather an anime like One Punch man or DBZ or JoJo, but maybe for a younger audience, not PBS young but like 90's Animated DC Young. That & Power Puff girls could make great Action/Comedy Animes I think. Anyone agree with me?
Joseph Seelund that's great! There's not many mlaatr fans out there today. Also, since you like anime, what kind of anime do you think mlaatr would be? I think it mlaatr would be better if it were more serious in fights and make villains actually "world threatening" if Gainax were to ever make an anime of mlaatr.
Goaliekid03 I'd kinda like it to be like Dragon Ball Super. Mainly serious, and having really world threatening villains (Beerus for example. He can destroy galaxies), but has comedy and relaxation every few episodes. I would like the fights to usually last about 10 to 25 episodes, and I would like it to air on Toonami. But, putting it on Toonami will not make it childish. It would make it rather dark, and Metal Suit Gundam-like. But, I would like it like Dragon Ball Super, with many perspectives, as I said earlier.

I don't understand how Nickelodeon got 5 seasons out of show I've ever heard one person talk about ever. The only time I ever saw TMNT on Nick was when season three had just premiered.
Okay if they ever reboot the show fix one teeny tiny problem MAKE THE CITIZENS OF THE TOWN LESS IGNORANT AND DOUCHEY same with Nora and the entire school except for Sheldon he's fine honestly that's all I want to change and if it does go on Disney make it back to back with svtfoe and possibly a crossover and Disney dosen't screw it over like wander over yander then yeah you got a deal but personally I rather have it on Netflix cause they'll give more creative control and they won't screw over the creators I mean bojack horseman is doing phenomenal on Netflix why not mlaatr.
1. TMNT wasn't a buried show. It had a action, comedy, and it better received than the movie reboots. 2. I agree with rebooting the show, but I think it should stay on Nick television, specifically Nicktoons. Disney already has a teenage girl who fights crime and goes to school in Kim Possible and Cartoon Network has 3 in Total Spies (because the Power Puff Girls are in elementary school). 3. If the show were to get a reboot, they have to change one thing, make Jenny human. It makes more sense in calling the show, my life As a teenage robot and it would help her more human side.
well now is 2020. Why this show still not in world wide yet? but still. it have it in Netflix so why not just made a comic instead if it cannot be on TV live stream show. Or updated the show in Netflix Hopefully the creator will be interested.
I agree I wouldn’t put it on Nickelodeon because I feel like I would just be like another sitcom. Boring and all about teenager troubles and nothing about being a robot
the other main characters were great. I think you didn't give them enough credit for their appearance. also. no on Disney. I think it'd do better on Netflix. but made by the or final staff and Fans
I feel like Disney or maybe Cartoon Network would treat This show well but too bad Nickelodeon owns the rights to it though if it was rebooted I would be so happy 😁
Would u Revive or reboot or just revive #AllGrownUp or maybe talk about #KimiFinster who deserves to have a spin off series I the future cause to be honest she needs a lot more development and all of the other Rugrats got their development so why not so if u can please talk about a reboot of All Grown Up or maybe if Kimi deserves to have her own Spinoff series please
Eartha Kitt is Dead...... So no. (The concept, IMO, isn't even unique enough- Part of the reasons why PPG and Ben 10 get rebooted is because of their unique premises. you wont find any other shows about little girl superheroes or a kid with extraterrestrial transmogrifications. Teenage Robot's concept is shared by tons of other properties- off the top of my head, we have Astro Boy and Mega Man, Cyborg from Teen Titans is a robotic teenager, Gir is a child-like robot and a heck of a lot more memorable, and I'm sure there's a ton of others. Every other character, aside from Vexus, is an absolute bore, or annoying. the art-style was so flat and cheap-looking, and the background music sounded lifeless. Jenny was an alright character- she'd never hold up to any characters we have today.)

What you said about airing it on another network besides Nick makes me want Kids WB & Fox Kids again!
FIRST! i like to say a few words
*clears throat
Hailtotheking00 That one guy from the cafe who didn't let robots around there was blatantly racist.
+Hailtotheking00 Hah, that's fair.

I think my life as a teenage robot reboot should air on the newer Disney+
I wouldn't reboot it in this day an age and definitely on Disney XD if I did. I feel like it just wouldn't work as much as I want it to be rebooted
What if the reboot comes on Cartoon Network ?
please reboot it
+Toad aka milk Thank you for commenting. ^^
Alpha Jay Show i only want it rebooted because I am in love with that girl
Yes do it now!
I would reboot this series!
well now is 2020. Why this show still not in world wide yet? but still. it have it in Netflix so why not just made a comic instead if it cannot be on TV live stream show. Or updated the show in Netflix
Hopefully the creator will be interested.
i miss this show ..
yup
I agree I wouldn’t put it on Nickelodeon because I feel like I would just be like another sitcom. Boring and all about teenager troubles and nothing about being a robot
I believe a reboot would do this show some good due to the cancellation.
princessbinas I'd like it, but Nickelodeon has priorities
Yes
Oh my gosh please give me more Jenny and Sheldon
Personally, I give it a fourth season and a TV movie or two.
Not unless they bring Melody back for an episode.
And Misty, and Vega, and that copycat robo dog
the other main characters were great. I think you didn't give them enough credit for their appearance. also. no on Disney. I think it'd do better on Netflix. but made by the or final staff and Fans
I help ok
Would you reboot Detentionaire?
I feel like Disney or maybe Cartoon Network would treat This show well but too bad Nickelodeon owns the rights to it though if it was rebooted I would be so happy 😁
I know, the only way is money
i wouldnt reboot it, its one of my favrite shows, when it was taken off of hulu i was super sad :C
I'm sure you could guess my opinion on the show
Xj10 can be any robot let's just say xj10 is one of Donatello's robots
Not Disney... Frederator Network for sure my dude
What what in the robot destroyed this show for me forever...
Please don't search it up if you haven't seen it!
I haven't seen it but I know it's shit.
Reboot yeah! But Not in Nickelodeon. Very good and My opinion
on disney
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssss. It should. It should. Yeeeessss
Stimpy listen to me reboot my life as a teenage robot
yes reboot it
REBOOT IT OR I WILL SCREAM TILL I LOSE MY VOICE
kim possible
Would u Revive or reboot or just revive #AllGrownUp or maybe talk about #KimiFinster who deserves to have a spin off series I the future cause to be honest she needs a lot more development and all of the other Rugrats got their development so why not so if u can please talk about a reboot of All Grown Up or maybe if Kimi deserves to have her own Spinoff series please
Johnny Marrero This is a bizarre proposal.
RidleyKraid187 Kitt wasn't even in the first season. There are other villains to explore!
Danny Phantom
My Life As A Teenage Robot doesn't deserve to get a reboot!!! 😡
I want mlaatr
No i won people will make bad stuff like real bad
