FYI, the "simple magnets" magnets are fairly easy to make, can be put in a bauble slot, and have a configurable hotkey to toggle their state. Very useful. Also doesn't require a constant input of RF.
Dire, you can break those geodes from Tetra in the workbench from Tetra with a hammer. It can give you emeralds, lapis, metal nuggets, diamonds, pristine diamonds/emeralds/lapis, and some other stuff
Hey Dire! Please consider adding the mod "Demagnetize" to this pack! It adds a simple, cheap block that disables magnets in a small (can be upgraded) radius. Would be useful for all of astral's "throw things on the ground" mechanics, and you could keep your magnet on.
Whenever you hurt a zombie there's a chance another with spawn nearby if it's dark enough.. That feature was added many many many versions ago but most people either forgot about it or just wasn't aware...
The stars on the telescope do appear before you have the paper. For the bright constellations, they simply appear; for the next set of constellations, they appear once you are attuned. At least, in old astral.
A really easy way to tell if a Crystal Cluster is fully grown and ready to be harvested is to surround the crystal cluster with full blocks (such as grass/dirt/cobble/etc blocks) and as you walk from the full block, across the cluster "block", you will notice that you character does not "dip" down as you walk across the cluster. Also, once you have the Starlight Infusion altar, and you start infusing Aquamarine into Resonating Gems, I would highly recommend you begin using some of the Resonating Gems instead of Aquamarine to create Liquid Starlight in your Lightwell(s). Any Aquamarine or other item you use in the Lightwell does have a chance to randomly break so, while an item may always break fast or slow, on average a Resonating Gem will give you significantly more Liquid Starlight than an Aquamarine would over time... usually about twice as much (upwards of 30 buckets of Liquid Starlight from a single Resonating Gem). A Resonating Gem will also produce Liquid Starlight much faster than an Aquamarine, especially if you focus starlight onto the Lightwell from a Collector Crystal (a full structure with a Attuned Celestial Collector Crystal would be the absolute best to use).
When crafting a multi-block structure just place the center table and use your resonating wand. It should highlight the area with the blocks needed and just use the exchanging gadget to quickly build it if you have trouble with the book like i do.
Just thought I'd mention you "chunkloaded" your set-up at precisely the moment I'd discovered my crops were too far from my base and I was wondering how I was going to fix that. So, thanks. Timely!

I started a direwolf20 1.16 server and it has parts of environmental tech but missing alot like solar panels. I saw a video 2 weeks ago with solar panels in forgecraft. Was this piece missed or not updated in direwolf20 pack?
Iv manually updated the server files and local files to 3.0.6.1 see if the rest of enviro tech shows up. Ill let you guys know if it works. Server did warn that a couple other issues may arrise because world started on a different version of enviro tech and could cause issues.
So quick update if anyone else is having this issue turns out there is a second mod called environmental energy that needs added. Does it matter if you have a Microsoft account vs having a mojan Java Minecraft account to play direwolfs20 mod pack I just want to be able to play along but it won't even load ;,,,,(
I have terrible performance with the latest version. If I go flying around with my jetpack for more than like 30 seconds, the game pauses every few seconds. It's unplayable. I have to completely restart the client to get it to stop.
Sounds like you need to allocate more RAM to the game. This pause every few seconds happens if your allocated ram is filling up (> 95% used) and java has to force a garbage collection to clean up anything stray. Normally you wouldn't see it every few seconds, but if you don't have enough ram allocated, then it "cleans" what it thinks is garbage and it gets filled right back up almost instantly, forcing another garbage collection. If you want to confirm that this is your issue, press F3 and note the % allocated ram used in the top right corner. You will likely see it quickly jump up to 95%, pause, then jump down to like 80%, then quickly climb back to 95% and pause again. To change your allocated ram in the FTB Launcher, go to "My Modpacks" then hover over the "Direwolf 20" pack and click the "... More" button, then go to the "Settings" tab and scroll down to the "INSTANCE MEMORY" and move the bar. It will allow you to increase it from what it is all the way to your total system memory, I only suggest adding a few Gigs at most, the more you give minecraft, the less the rest of your system has to work with.
@@KindarConrath Thanks. I've got 32gb available, I'm not worried about allocating too much to Java that it takes away from the rest of my system. I'd heard that putting too much towards it would start to cause issues; something about having so much more space to garbage collect would be a problem, idk. I did only have 6gb set for this instance though, I'm bumping that up and hopefully will eliminate the problem.
