Holy hell just finished the video what a nail bitter exactly why I love the tournament gameplay both of you fighting until the bitter end, and also the rule set so nobody draws adds a lot to the intensity of these matches.
Great video, good commentary. Liked how you used those two recon helis at the beginning , you should have replaced every lost recon heli with a recon inf squad or backed both off with at least one recon inf squad.
Great game Vulcan! I would love it if you could do a video running down on map balances and strong/weak POI of the map. Would also be great if you could do the same on divisions in a simpler fashion like a summary!
definitely the lack of recon on the right flank and mid was the main reason for the loss, good play on matrin, and the cv on foxtrot won him the game and the push in mid was masterful, beating the 82 on the favorable side of the map
Hey Vulcan I noticed you don’t deploy a lot of armor in the initial phase, what’s your thought process on that? Are you trying to get a lot of frontline units out first and then follow with armor asking to improve my own strategy
First reason is bringing armour early can be very risky, particularly anything over 200 points because if you lose it, it can be a big swing. They are also relatively easy to kill with cluster planes. Second reason, the map often requires you to spread out early so having points invested all in one spot is not as efficient. Third of all, I don't often play decks that require the use of cheaper tanks that are better than the infantry. Also, yes, forward deployment is preferable at the start if you can.
How to Balance out the map, put the Forest on the LEFT on the other side (your side, where Echo is) and put foxtrot in the forest on the RIGHT. That way their is ONE capture point in each forest.
was there a reason you didn't go with the american armored? seems like the more convention choice? the 82nd really rely on that left forest to bring their infantry to bear and weak/under veted armor was a problem for them here
hes going right to left into one of your sectors but why O why do you not have AT in that house between that sector and the sector to the right, you would be getting side shits on his tanks and apc's
wire guided missiles or atgms of any kind should not be able to shoot thru trees. I know this is arcade but that needs to be addressed IMHO. way over powered
22:59 and this is the reason i refuse to buy this game...the utterly incompetent and impotent AA...that Mi 24 should have been dead in less than 5 seconds and yet an AIR defense unit that is far from being cheap, is struggling to destroy a single stationary helicopter...yeah nope... dont want to fight against helicopter spam yet again. Tanks that actually have armor last less than bloody helicopters... Air defense in Wargame and now Warno isnt defense/denial its at best "retaliation" against aircraft after they maul x number of units in one strike...
Matrin played the "weak" sides strengths perfectly on your right/his left flank. Geisa is imbalanced but less so then many people make it out to be.

From what I can tell fire position with LGBs is bugged so that they release late and the bombs always overshoot. It's very unfortunate.

The free points you gave him at the start really cost you the game
when you give up your right flank you simply give him a free flank for 2 cap areas, the ending was expected from the start.
