I bought the Reference 3 Meta due to a great second hand deal because the very wealthy prior owner just wanted to get rid of them because he preffered other speakers he bought afterswards. This video made me realize how much value is actually inside of the Reference and Blade series. Wow.
Handmade loudspeakers. Really nice window into the high end audio world. Love the way the KEF gentleman says lacquering. Farfield and Nearfield testing on the production line. Good video. Thanks as always. I love how KEF tests very speaker against the standard.
They could make the reference on a production line and they would come out the same. The whole thing is marketing BS which I think they got from B&W with their diamond speakers. What I love how with the R11's the bass response is the same as the B&W 702's. For the size of the speaker 46 hzs is a joke, this is done as not to step on the toes of the of the reference speakers bass respeonse. Don't you people question anything. Back in the 80's you would get a better bass respeons from a smaller speaker. Hand made, signed by the builder, all marketing BS, who cares who put it together. But Kef are now owned by a big far east company who produce many brands of speakers who use marketing companies to produce the BS to push the price high and higher.
