Body shamed? Really? I heard what Wertheim said and while I agree that it was inappropriate, I really don't think it is something worth extinguishing him professionally over. He only said out loud what a lot of people were probably thinking. Where the hell are the thought police when you really need them? The solution is for people to develop thicker skin and not obsess over every little thing people say. People should save their outrage for the real serious crap that goes on in the world. This is really a big nothing-burger.
I can't believe they did this story and didn't mention all the crap said about Serena Williams in 2007 at the Australian Open. The Australian fat reporter called her a cow. The ESPN commentators including Darren Cahill and MaryJo Fernandez said she was out of shape. She won the damn tournament. She had come back from injury. No one got the side eye for any of this stuff.
Because back then the woke media was not that woke, today a person of one race can fart near a house of another race of people and it will be world news.
So sad! I remember how they talked about Venus and Serena horribly as well. 😢
And nobody stood up for them!

Why you guys suprise about wertheim comments.
He was body shamed the Williams sisters for decade.
They were criticized on the mic and off the mic. And in newspapers, etc. And nobody spoke up for them and, the host didn’t even mention them!
Awww I thought he said forehands 😂 making fun of her forehead is out of order. I was wondering why there was such an uproar
He is just rude and cocky.
It was not a first time and he should be of air for ever.

It was a rude comment, when the reporters/presenters were off air, and he was caught on a hot mic.
No shaming here, lets keep moving.
If you've done the same, just do better going forward... don't make excuses... he was wrong.
Sheesh! We've raised a generation of snow flakes!
wtf never heard of her before, PR for free !!
You don't watch tennis.
You can say they are beautiful but not that they are ugly. Ok?
You can't say either in sport.
He should apologize, she should forgive him, and we should all move on.
Perfect example of, “The Lord giveth and taketh away” 🤷🏽♂️
Who the hell is chinwun zhang? Absolutely butchered Qinwen Zhengs name, the real shame is on the host for the pronunciation
That’s how you pronounce it.
As a Chinese I can tell you it sounds exactly like ‘chin whun’.
Does she have a forehead yes did he mention her forehead yes
How's that body shaming is she ashamed of her forehead 🤷
His job was to comment on her athleticism, not her appearance. Now that he's home and not getting paid, he's free to say whatever he desires.
He ain't lying though
what if we called you that ?
True
He wasn't canned for lying, he was canned for being unprofessional on the job.
There is no such thing.
DID I miss it? WHAT DID HE SAY?
He said his forehead looked like Krejcikova’s forehead. He didn’t know they were live. Jon Wertheim is not a good person.
Nobody knows.
@@BeckyTeteris this bad?
Not a big forehead; rather, a receded hairline.
At the same time, you pronounced two names of Wimbledon champions with errors. Learn how to say it in a better way!
The host body
Your brain 😂
@@ltrotter636 her body
Wah Wah Wah, get over your woke emotionally damaged egos.
"Woke" implied being alert and aware. Guy was clearly sleep, which is why they sent him home.
