I Watched your great video today, 10 minutes later my AD calls and said today is something nice for you came in, it was the BB54 on the rubber, i trade my bb58 black & bought it. I fell in love with the watch straight away! ❤
For anytime like me, who found themselves in between sizes on the T Fit the Uncle Seiko BB58 half link is the perfect solution. I've gone from 95% to 100% satisfied since adjusting mine.
Congrats on the BB54, a lovely watch indeed. I'm a fan of smaller watches and look forward to trying on a 54 at my AD. I will be keeping my BB58 black/gilt dial, as I love the red triangle. My 58 wears perfectly on my 6.75" wrist, especially on the Forstner Model J Jubilee bracelet I got for it after watching your BB58/Uncle Seiko jubilee video (a very helpful video). Cheers!
I would like to offer an alternative view to the universal love for the BB54. Yes, the BB54 has a better bracelet, but you are forgoing a lot. I feel 39 mm to be the perfect size for a sport/dive watch. Also, at some point you may want some wrist presence in a watch. I love BB58’s gilt bezel numerals, red iconic triangle (red triangle and larger crown references the classic Rolex Big Crown of the past) and the snowflake seconds. I even like the coin edge bezel matching the crown. Without these characteristics, the BB would be rather dull. Now all these charming characteristics have been removed from the BB54. The lugs on the BB54 are also proportionally bigger giving it a less elegant, squared look. Newer may not always be better.
@Qva1111 I knew someone who got lucky and they didn’t like it so I bought it off them. I def got lucky but give it time and you’ll get one. It’s the best watch I’ve ever worn hands down. Especially on Erika strap
Congratulations on getting this, I like it. This will be my next and last watch and then my 3 watch collection will be complete with a Hesalite coaxial speedy and a G-Shock.
The pip on the bezel at 12 on your watch is off to the right by a bit. The hands and the hours marks are full of dings, imperfection at their edges. I'd love to buy this watch if the fit and finish is better. Coming from Grand Seiko, the fit and finish of Tudor is light year behind.
I own the 54 and have owned that blue 58 in the past. The only thing I wish the 54 had was the matte dial of the 58 and the minute track was a little longer
What a fantastic video sir! Would you recommend the 54 or 58 (Blue on fabric strap)? I have a 6,25 inch wrist. I have worn the blue BB58 on a few occasions and I really love the look. The 54 seems, however, to have better dimensions (and weight reduction?) and I like the new T-Fit. I wouldn't see myself wearing the original metal bracelet on the BB58 because of the lack of quick-adjustment. Thanks a lot! Hope you enjoy your new timepiece. Ps.1 did you also see the new 41 Black Bay (red bezel) at your AD? And what are your views on it? Ps. 2 I subscribed to your channel :)
I think 54 will be the winner for you. Overall the bb54 has better dimensions and will work fantastic on smaller wrists. The BB41 red is on my list as well :)
Nice to see the shot with the difference in thickness. Wonder how well it fits on my 7-inch / 17.8 cm wrist. I'll have to check one out when they're in stock locally.
Great review, this level of detail, comparison, measurements and shots should be the standard. ( One note, 'Sportive' is not a word, you're looking for 'Sporty', es ist ein häufiger Fehler 👍)
If they came out with a gmt pro version of this it would really hard not to reshuffle the collection to get it. Gmt movement won't make this a reality though.
If the lume was blue like the Submariner by Rolex, I would like it more. It is a classic timepiece of superb quality. This is something that is on my to buy list because of quality and design. I like the Rolex name, but this does it all too.
So far, the best video review that shows a close up of a BB54’s bezel action. You mentioned that this BB54 bezel action is a “bit better” than the one on BB58. Sure the BB58 sounded slightly quieter when you turned the bezel but a camera mic can only tell so much story. Can you clarify your comment?
Hey S C, thanks a lot :)! Oh not sure yet, the uncle Seiko bracelet is so good that I really enjoy wearing the BB58. I think BB54 on an uncle Seiko bracelet would be the best.
I also bought mine at the Tudor store in Toronto but it was only available on rubber they have promised me however the steel bracelet that will come in the next month or two
Is the dial sunburst? Kinda looks like it on video Great review. Just got mine. I gotta give it a 9+ on daily usage. It doesn’t get more perfect than this for a daily wearer.
Nice watch! I have been on the waiting list for quite some time now, just one issue which i have noticed in another video on some channel. The circle on 12 o clock is not fully symmetrical on the triangle on the bezel. Not sure if you ever noticed it, or does it bother you. It's symmetrical on your BB58. Certainly something that i need to double check if i ever get the call. Cheers.
The only, little thing I would possibly disagree on.. is the bezel grip on the 54 vs the 58. I have both and the 58 has way more "bite" to the fingers than the polished edge of the new 54. They both are great no doubt, but objectively speaking the grip and action of the 58 I feel is much (maybe slightly) better.
Still prefer my pelagos 39 cause I like my snowflake hand to pair with squared marker just like in the original snowflake sub. But I tried this and it’s an improvement on the 58…
Moin Niko! The BB54 fits your wrist like a glove! Congrats! 👍 When it comes to Tudor dive watches my favourite is still the Pelagos 39. My personal highlight was the new BB 39mm with this new blue dial. On my next visit to my local AD I definitely going to try one. LG Claus
I want this watch but I heard tudor in house movements aren't serviceable, do tudor charge much to service them and how often do they need servicing if you daily drive it ?
Can't really give 6/10 for movement/dial as it is a No-date watch and should be classed under that genre. Ie. you can't give less marks because it doesn't have a date window. It's not an apples to apples comparison. Just imo.
@@MaroKNard Oh, honestly I was expecting that, Im visiting Vietnam at the moment, I will check in Saigon, also in USA after HK, Tudor is not so popular there, otherwise in the coming months
I do like this watch. I wouldn’t buy it because I want the Mercedes hour hand. Like the original. Tudor is a part of Rolex and it should never have lost the hands it had. Shame, for that reason I wouldn’t buy this watch. Changing the hands would be like changing the Ford Mustang to another horse breed yet still calling it a Mustang. And why can’t manufacturers reissue iconic watches from the past? I just don’t get it.
So well sized.
Time to bring back smaller watches again
Been wearing a 36mm OP for years and love it.
Normal size. We’re just going back to normal. Clown size needs to go away.

Good to know. Thx. Uncle seiko is a Tudor saviour for his half links.
Best review of this watch yet
That BB36 in blue, but also that greyish with gold accents are both stunners. Congrats on your new piece as always Niko!
Tudor is just killing it lately. Seriously….I’d rather wear my Tudor pieces instead of my Rolex watches.
Mainly because Rolexes are unavailable.
@@hermles No….I already own 4 Rolex. So availability is irrelevant. I simply prefer my Tudors

Sportive is a proper word. It’s a adjective describing the use of it.
Correction; the BB54 has the 5402 movement and the bracelet - strap lug width is 20mm. tapering to 18mm.

I want this watch but I heard tudor in house movements aren't serviceable, do tudor charge much to service them and how often do they need servicing if you daily drive it ?
Simple automatic movements like these don't require service very often. As long as you don't dive with the watch, you should be able to go 5-10 years.
What's your wrist size?
Realistically, is it along term keeper? You have too many options for watches. The size will bother you to the end.
Can't really give 6/10 for movement/dial as it is a No-date watch and should be classed under that genre. Ie. you can't give less marks because it doesn't have a date window. It's not an apples to apples comparison. Just imo.
The rubber one is also so good looking.
