Hello....the sleeves on the "shark shirt sleeves" are actually called a handkerchief hem, serged...Lovely find! I agree on the buttons they have to go =) I'm a retired bridal gown seamstress, well I use to alter all sorts of gowns...

I LIKE THE PLAID BUT I LIKE THE BLUE BETTER .AS FAR AS PRINT GOES. THE FABRIC IS WHAT USUALLY DECIDES IT FOR ME . I HAVE BOUGHT LONG SLEEVE SHIRTS AND CUT THEM OFF TO 3/4 FOR FALL BECAUSE I HATE ROLLING UP THE SLEEVES TO WASH DISHES . I REALLY DO LIKE THE PINK AND BROWN PLAID BUT I GUESS BLUE IS MY FAVORITE COLOR . ANYHOW, I'M GLAD YOU FOUND A COUPLE SHIRTS !
Wear a white t shirt or a rock graphic t shirt with the plaid shirt and where it open. That will make it look very trendy and hip! I think the green blue tunic shirt looks really cute !
The shirt style looks great on you, especially that plaid color. The collar frames your face & v neck flatters you. Even the pockets look good, cute. But you're right about the one being higher! Maybe just try taking that one off & see how it looks.

I love the color and pattern of the blue shirt. The buttons should be a shade if blue to blend in. I'm not a fan of the plaid cause of the pockets. Thanks for sharing!

I could never wear anything with a plaid so mismatched--but it does look good on you! I was making most of my own clothing long before 7th grade sewing, but once I had a lesson on matching plaids I was compulsive about lining every seam up perfectly.

Yes on the pockets and I would sew the front down so it won't come open. I remember attending a wedding and the minister kept staring at me only to realize later that my front breast button had opened and the gaping white hole was front and center. I hope he prayed for me, lol. Thank goodness my bra was white 😄

I love your plaid shirt, my style for a while now, I live in my flannel type shirts, I get them a little bigger so that thru the cooler months I wear turtle necks or long John's under them.. right now we are in the 60's and I'm able to wear them alone.
Warmer months I like lose and airy like the one you're going to remove the buttons from. 😊

Yes to shopping finds and try ons with ideas for altering. So much to learn. Cant wait to hear your new total weight loss, it must be pretty good because you are getting so very healthy looking. What I am noticing is the Carnivore people have such great looking skin after being Carnivore for a year or so. You do look good, been watching for a couple years now. Inspiring for sure!!

Love the first one will be great once you have adapted it. such a shame the pockets of the second one did not match, but I think your right about removing them. that really suits you, Good to hear that you would make a seam at the centre back, having also lost some weight I have a couple of hardly worn tops I can do that with, Thanks for a great idea.

Great video, I always enjoy the thrift store hauls/try on's 😀. I agree with you that the 1st top will look better without the buttons & stitched up part way. It's got beautiful sleeves & it's a lovely pattern. I love the plaid shirt as well, it looks so good on you. I've never seen uneven pockets like that before, that's very unique. Are pockets like that common in America? Has anyone else seen that before? Just curious 🙂.

Both tops look good. Maybe you could stitch the plaid top where your buttons gape in boob area. You probably could pull the shirt over your head and no gapes

How funny you are, you went to try & find summery tops & came out with fall tops, lol,lol,lol.I have quite a few tops that are to lose & open around my neck & I hate sleezy low cut things, so I take them in with a dart in the upper neck area in the back of the shirts, I recently took a few in about 1/4'" or more & then gradually went in to 1/8" & even smaller once I got closer to the back seam again, going down in length about 2" it worked out great, I didn't sew that dart all the way down the back of my shirts, because nearly every top, is too large on top, but not too large at the lower part. Also, another top I had to put in a dart on each front side area & also that dart in the back area, it fit great after I altered it. I enjoy sewing, but oh boy do I ever have things that need to be altered, I barely have the time, I walk people's dogs, I have 3 storefronts online that I run & I'm also a graphic designer by trade & guess what I do, I get paid to remove scratchy tags from peoples clothing usually up at the neck area. you wouldn't believe how many people hate those darn scratchy tags, but don't dare to remove them or have the patience to remove them. At the thrift stores out my way, here in eastern Washington, the cost of clothing is going up in most stores here to ridiculous prices, mostly from the rip-off giant called the Goodwill, I never ever shop there, I shop at the thrift stores, where most of the sales proceeds goes to the humane society to help homeless animals, some goes towards schools & food kitchens, etc. I miss not seeing Rocket, but hopefully you'll leave at least a few of those previous videos up, he was so darn special, I still think, it would do you a world of good to get a dog, believe I understand about the heartaches of loss, but in the meantime, you'd have a lil' buddy, wagging its tail every time it sees you & you could be saving a dog from being euthanized, a very good deed. Yeah, I know that no one can ever really tell you what to do, but it's just a suggestion, you appear very lonely & in need of a true friend, there's none better than the true love of a dog. I just noticed that the shirt you are wearing in this video, was the one that you wore on your trip going to the junk yard & also to the Bass Pro-shop. Yup I notice these types of things, I have a top nearly exactly like that top & it also has a long gorgeous matching shirt, the set was made in India. I love the styles that you pick out & yup those white buttons gotta go, lol,lol,lol.

At 72 I'm 56 pounds lighter than I was at my heaviest of 236. My flabby upper arms are still huge. I would rather be naked than to wear tight sleeves ... something about them drives me crazy ... all heebie jeebie like! 😁 We hit 104* F in south Texas today.
