Thx for this Video...I have spend so much time through the Internet and i have testet 1000 Things and playing with the settings too, but nothing helps me out. Finally, the Fatal Error and the low level Error crashes has stopped, when i turnd off DLSS completely, because i have read in the Internet, that the Version of DLSS that they use in the Game is buggy with older Cards then the 4000 Generation, so i turned it off and the crashes has stopped ^^ btw i have a 2080Ti and i play in QHD with medium-high settings. btw 2 sry for my bad english, i am german ;)
I have a 4070 and stil have crashes and bugs and weird visual things. I have not tried dlss off tho.
@@powerblazing3603 So try to turn it off and see what happends. I put the Game also starts in admin mode. You have to go in the Folder of the Game and activate both .exe files to starts as admin. Try these 2 Things, for me it was the solution.
yeah but the thing with dlss off is that i'm getting 30 fps instead of 60 :S I really really don't want to go this route given tha fact that I can play cyberpunk on 2k Ultra/demencial settings rtx on, etc....@@sinstriker8682
The game runs very stable on my RTX2070 with reduced settings. Not one single crash until now! DLSS is turned ON. Then I wanted to see the full beauty off ASA and bought 6 months of Geforce NOW Ultimate which is using a RTX4080. I use the preset "High" and the RTX features DLSS, Frame Generation and Super Resolution are turned OFF. The game crashes regularly, about every 20 minutes. I was lucky one time and played about an hour without crash. With both cards I turned OFF grass and volumetric clouds because I do not like them.
So, DLSS is not the cause of the crashes. For my RTX2070 I followed the guide "INI Settings Are not Needed to Get FPS Boost in ARK Survival Ascended, Play without Stutters", google it if you want as links are not allowed here. Only thing I changed was setting "Global Illumination Quality" to "Medium" because the rays of light of the lootdrops were not shown in "Low Setting". I have 60 fps with 1080p, only when it shifts to night or day the fps drop. As I said the game never crashed when playing with these settings, but I had a crash when I change the graphics settings while being in a game. So, I would recommend to use ESC in the main menu and change the settings and then starting a game when done.

I have a 4070 and was losing my mind at the amount of times the game was crashing, I tried a bunch of different fixes I seen online with no change but I turned off the 3 settings you mentioned and no crashes for the 3 hours I played. Same here buddy! It's a shame for people like usvwho spend that money and has to play to medium settings.. But anyways, hope some day Wildcard optimize this game
Using a 4080 and can run, ride, swim, and fly all over the island with no issues or crashes, UNTIL I open my inventory or a storage unit. It usually crashes during the closing of inventory vs opening. It wasn't too bad until their most recent patch that supposedly "fixed" inventory crashes.
I have a 3080 and that is my issue too. Its always when I close the inventory.
I've tried all the "fixes" listed everywhere. Nothing works. Always the same D3D12 crash

Putting "Disable Menu Transitions" to "Off" in the "UI" options actually fixed these crashes for me. The menus look a bit weird when you close/open them now, but I'll take over crashing every 5 minutes lol (as well as turning off "Foliage and Fluid interaction" completely)
I have a 4080 with everything on epic and I’ve rounded it down to just the fluid interactions, everything else works apart from that (I wouldn’t say works perfectly because I have to have DLSS on just to get 60fps and that’s pretty shocking)

I've done all of these and have seen no difference to the amount of game crashes. This is entirely the games fault, not your settings. Some things might improve it, but most of the crashing behaviour is beyond our control and up to Wildcard to fix.
it's so anoying since my pc should be able to run it and I got the game pretty much when it realesed and I still can't play withouy crashing in 10 mins💔
Also, note that TPV lateral Camera offset for third person can make the game feel different than ASE and more cinematic. I push mine to -100 for that left side character view.

For name dont turn it off in the UI, use the "end" hotkey that way if you walk up to something you can see it name with out everthing around you showing.

I've seen a lot of people (myself included) getting the "purple rain" crash, usually when going through inventories in first person, but sometime just randomly, seemingly for no reason. Finding a fix for that wpuld be amazing

I have a 4090 and run on max settings but I kept crashing every 10 minutes and it was due to the frame generation on the RTX tab. Turned it off and didn’t get these random crashes anymore. Hopefully this helps someone else if they can’t figure out why they’re crashing so much.
i have an rtx 1620 and 16gb of ram. ASA keeps crashing at the character create menu. Please help

Hey teach, my game had been running fine from launch till about a week and a half ago, a patch did something that is now causing my game to crash every 5-10 minutes on non dedicated as well as crash 100% of the time when going to certain parts of the map. Know anything about that?

Hi clearing the steam download cache maybe once per month also helps things run better.
ive upgrade my pc for this game and even then my game still crash before i can join a server! i got an 4080ti , 64gb ram , i913900 and even then my game still crash i reinstall the game like 3 times and did everything my game still crash i dont know what to do anymore !
Not mentioned here, but disabling menu transitions under UI settings did it for me.
I’m running a 3070ti with an i7-12700. I can’t play for more than 30 min to an hour before I crash with the fatal error. I’m have done everything you suggested including uninstall / reinstall. Still crashing.
I even dropped everything to Low and turned off the light stuff. The game looks worse than ASE, all boxie creatures and plants. No clouds/fog. Still crashing.

Why do i disconnect on ps5 on single player when i have equipped mods? Like everytime i Get on after like Max 20 minutes the game shuts down? Any answers?
All of these suggestions have worked for me, but I run it at 2k res not 1080p. Occasional crash, but stable for the most part. Running a 3080. Thanks Teach.

My game crashes when i open the storage boxes ...
VSync is Aids to this game. If you have it turned on in the NVidia settings, turn it to "OFF", "Fast" or "adaptive" and you should see considerable improvement. I haven't crashed since I changed it.
I do have a issue with my character when you are in third person after so long I glitched inside of my own character and I can't have no mobilisation with this character and I can't get back out into the third person mode
it crashes now and then when I move stuff around in my inventory on my dedicated server. Also around the volcano and inside some caves I have stutters, some of them also ended in crashing. Crashing is often a complete freeze for me where I gotta logout and log back in Windows to get the process closed. (Win 10 Pro, RTX 4090, 7800x3d)
press windows button and tab and close error windows and it will close ark without having to logout this has helped me a tone
ok will try to get that working, usually I can't get focus to the error confirmation pressing Alt+Tab or other methods @@ltolman1 - I have a much more annoying crash now that happens with the latest Nvidia drivers on a RTX 4080 GPU. Seems frame generation is broken at the moment, apparently people are waiting for Nvidia and Wildcard to get that fixed.
1:28 yes turn it off (shafts and bloom) and enjoy blinking shadows, randomly super dark screen, incorrect light distribution.

I want to stop the crashes every 5 minutes but i wont make my game ugly af. I hope the devs fix the problem and if they dont then i aint playing that game again.
blinking shadows was fixed for me turning shadows to medium or above. Anything below medium causes that. I turned all the shafts/bloom off and it doesn't cause the blinking for myself.

i have 4090 rtx high end costum build computer lol, and i sometimes crash mid air while flying whenever i try to turn around
Game still crashes due to process hanging even with a 4080 when im flying over stuff with like setting sun light and fog.
I have a ryzen 7 5700g 4070 48bg of ram an i still crash when im harvesting mats an putting them on a tame then getting on the time like i would on ase with no problem

Running a 4070 always get a "unhandled exception something or other" I have to restart my pc every time just to close the game

I’m having an issue where I don’t crash when I’m in the game. The issue is that it takes me an hour to load into a server I will constantly crash and get sent to the ark main menu while trying to load into a server just constantly clicking and reclicking join game but once I’m in it runs perfectly fine on high and epic but I keep it turned down in case just takes me forever to get in and sucks I work 12-18 hour shifts so I don’t really have an hour to do that every time I try to play if someone knows a way lmk know please

Hi Ark ascended keeps chrasing when i go into my world do anybody have an idea on how to fix that?
On a side note despite, configuring adjust brightness/HDR I still feel my ark is rather 'harsh' looking forests look really dark, brightness in day looks really bright. I have done nothing with nvidia/monitor settings as its fine for all other games :/ not sure what to do
It's because wildcard did no tuning. They just did a messy ue5 conversion mod.
It's the laziest possible way to do it. And it looks horrible. All the people saying the game looks great are smoking crack.
I fiddled a lot with the HDR settings before it actually started looking like nice HDR (sliders pretty far to high and low side), but I'm also starting from a new PC and monitor. I'm not sure what the ultimate "it" thing was. In game I definitely had to flip "low light enhancement" on/off several times and restart before it seemed to actually work on. I think that was the biggest fix to forest being dark and inside buildings being dark. PC side I downloaded the windows HDR calibration tool, but I don't think this made huge changes.
Does anyone else also get this sort of a K-mode bug when you fly back to base and if you are in 1st person you will notice it as your head pops on the screen , you dismount your flyer and you cannot access anything and it looks like you are stuck in yourself. this only happens when we are flying to any of our bases, at the moment your base start loading in. You have to kill yourself to get back in game

The value of seeing far away is not just for the scenery, but for predators as well. It's a survival game, not a surprise me game lol

i have a 4060, 32 gb of ram, a msi motherboard, a i5 and the games has an intire ssd for itself. i run it on medium with everything in the video turned off and it still crashes

I even check my pc performance while im playing like the fps and temps and they all good and it stillll crashes. i even thought maybe my graphics even tho i got 4090 i put on medium everything and nope its not that.
(Forgot to mention i even installed my ps5 ssd because on steam says ssd “required” but nope still crashes)
First i had crashes everytime i got to character creation.. then after solving that its now crashing on the spawn point selection screen.. cant even get into the map for console command inputs 😡

I got a 4060TI and now that the center has released. The game crashes when I choose to try and load into the map. Just click play on single player and it crashes on the black loading screen. Crashed 15+ times now. Updated everything on Crash 3. Wild how bad this game is.

The crashing error majority of people are running into in ASA is caused by DLSS, the version wasn't coded correctly and is conflicting with GPU drivers, all you can do is disable DLSS entirely and chug at 30fs on a 4090 or just not play and wait and hope until studio wildcard gets around to fixing it.
Dropping ASA graphics to medium/low is a disservice and defeats the purpose of the UE5 graphics upgrade. ASE on epic looks visually better vs ASA set to medium. turning off light bloom and crepuscular sun rays saves tons of performance because thats 60% of the world lighting in two setting.

4090 13900k and still getting continuous UE crashes and the constant error of not enough video memory. I’ve done every single thing I possibly can and still experience crashes
Good tips, sadly been unable to play at all since after the first week of release with a i7 13700k and 4090. Fatal errors and blue screen.

I have spent hours trying all different solutions, and nothing has worked. The issue seem to be with ASA / UE5 software compatibility for our hardware.@@Megamonstertje
idk why but when i valedated my files it said 875 and idk why i have 875
The framerate cap does not work. Set it to anything and then go back to game and check it. I tried setting framerate cap in game, in .ini files and also in the nvidia control panel. They all failed to cap the framerate.
turn off foliage and fluid interaction setting it will fix the crashing . you may get some floating rocks though
@@kmoe2813 I'm only getting crashes while in the menus. Mainly just graphical errors and framerate issues. My water is permanently bugged not interacting. Even when I turn off/on and change the 3 values. When I turn fog and clouds off my framerate stays exactly the same. On/off no change. When I turn Vsync on it doesn't work and neither does the framerate cap. Just tired of messing with this game. Spent almost 50 hours tweaking it and it seems worse now.

I have a 4080. I can play on Epic Settings, but Frame Gen currently is a no go. Makes my game crash every time.

@@VoltKraken5555 in my experience you don't need to turn off DLSS or Reflex. Only Frame Gen is currently causing crashes (for me and anyone I've heard of at least). If you make sure Frame Gen is off, you should be able to turn on DLSS and Reflex again.

What about if my computer runs the game fine, but the second I begin to record that’s when it crashes? More specifically the game completely freezes and never unfreezes?

Love you. I know business is business. Console delays. But maybe some of the creators can influence something. Like maybe a wipe,on official till everyone comes on all platforms. Next. You and so many more creators are going to run out of content soon. Or new ideas. We need some total Ark player consolidation for this game to come out and work. Or else we will see you in other games.

Verifying the integrity of my files fixes my crashes temporarily... but I have to do it every few hours of gaming.

That's an old issue when ASE released! It's like they just turned the code back to broken release code and slapped on a half assed graphics mod.

My biggest issue is “timeout/disconnect” from server. (Private Nitrado) I’m not sure if it’s my ISP or what.
This is a major problem for 80% of the people i know. Its not your isp. Its the nitrado hosting provider.
Nitrado is garbage. I host my own dedicated server from my pc and run the game from my pc at the same time and have zero issues. My buddy connects to my server from the other side of the country and has zero lag or any other issues.
@@kenshinhimura9387 I fully agree with you there. I was pretty pissed when learning GPortal won’t be able to host ASA servers. My computer isn’t strong enough to host otherwise I would.
Definitely Nitrado lol. That's basically where all the server instability people are having is coming from.
I run my own server on a laptop I had laying around and it works flawlessly, literally 0 disconnects, lag, or server crashes.
I was using a 3080 and had the constant crash every time I went into a vault. It eventually just fixed itself after uninstalling and reinstalling the game. I recently switched out to a 7900xtx and the same problem started up. Reinstalling isn't fixing it either. All settings are accurate but each time I need to grab something, CRASH. I believe it is a mod problem

I hardly ever crash while playing only times i crash is when i firat load the game like 5 seconds into joining the server it will get froze on my monitor only way to get it off is by restarting the computer
error 873... that's on the game, it's a menu/inventory/storage crash. turning off fluid/foilage can help, but the tradeoff is 1000's of floating rocks that can start to build up and kill your FPS. the update on the 7th was supposed to help with it, unfortunately it clearly didn't.
I think thats the crash ive been having, always seems to happen when im looking in my inventory. I havent been able to see the error message though as it completely freezes the game to where i cant even tab out of it
Same here crash when opening or closing inventory. Not always but the crash always happens because of this.
