on my folder i cant find the compatibility option can someone help?

Windows updates check out done. I guess I have the latest already. Found the DirectX download and ran it. I didn't get the loading screen you did, but I did get a message stating DirectX was finished. Found Visual Studio, but what you show is very different. ATM I seem to be stuck on downloading at 67% and I am holding out hope it will finish, but I cannot seem to find the download page again. Maybe it finished? I will try ARK se again and see if it still crashes.

The only thing that worked was taking the computer to a computer shop and paying them to figure it out. @@LTG_Reaper

K my thing isnt low level fatal error but it says ue4 shooter game has crashed and will close and says something about lost island what do i do

bro everytime i download dinos from ob my game crashes reverts and i lost all my tames i downloaded what the fck
The problem with my PC is that ark has crashed and got me completely stuck on the crash screen with ark in the background. Computer off and on, and I'm met back at The UE4-ShooterGame Game has crashed and will close - Fatal error!
It just stays no matter what I do. I cannot move my cursor because it does not exist apparently. Just fatal error with the fine background of the ark main menu. Murdered my pc more than a lobotomy would. This happened while I was just hunting drops with my argentavis.

@@itsalexgaming8696 if you've got it, try pressing that windows button. It resolved after a couple restarts and a few minutes, but i never tested the windows button. forgot about this comment i made.
I guess this tutorial is outdated already. The file "Not Working Game" isn't shown. Every time I go into Steam and run a program files check, I get a message two files will be acquired, or something like that. Of course I have no idea when those files get fixed since ARK se is still crashing like crazy during game play. This new computer is running Windows 11 and if I try to run a compatibility on ARK se, I get a message of "Catastrophic Failure". It took me a while to figure out how to even find the game to try that option.

@@StarWashaal I ended up taking the new, custom built computer back to the shop. They later told me the motherboard and video card where too close together and was causing each to overheat. The said the put everything into a much larger box/case with 9 fans and told me that should fix the problem. After these many months I would have to say it did. Of course I have no idea what else they did.

Unfortunately problem not solved for my case. I followed right along with you and did everything, but it didn't help and in fact got much worse. I did it last night and today I can't play for 10 straight minutes without a EU shooter crash. I suspect the problem goes deeper into what I might have altered on my dedicated server. I added some custom stack sizes to my game ini and various settings to my gameusersettings ini and launch command string, I just can't see anything wrong. Thanks for the video anyway though, I'm glad it's helped all these others.
