- In this video I show you how to build a tree house village in Ark Survival Ascended. If you're on official / want to PvP build this with metal, otherwise wood if just fine. This is a great base, and a perfect starter base for the redwood biome in Ark, however you'll need to tame a flying dinosaur in order to access it or you're going to be in for a bad time.

ok... love the build but you should tell people if you use ramps at the start the cellings will not line up like you show in the video..... only the triangles will allow the celling floor to be placed 6 then 3 then 6 so on....... lost hours trying to figure out what was wrong......

As someone who literally just built a tree-house garden yesterday! Man I wish I knew the walls and ramps etc snap to the edge of the platform now *face palm* instead I sunk foundations into the entire perimeter of the platform like an idiot XD, as a fellow building enthusiast like yourself, I would highly recommend the ASR mod, It's cross platform so everyone can use it and download it for free, It has glass wall structure and low and high slope roof/ramp variants
This looked so spectacular I followed the instructions and successfully created the tree house in the tutorial. Excellent tutorial! I really wanted to recreate the flying dino aviary too. But I could not get the layout correct. The inside seemed too small to house an Argy. Worse I could not figure out the 2 wide sides to evenly fit. Gave up and created my own using what I learned in the tutorial. No ramped sides raising the platform. Just platform with added walkway outside. This gave me the layout for 2 wide landing terraces between 2 wide doorways. The interior is HUGE. I can park 50 Argies in there I think. Thanks for the great idea and tutorial. Big fan of

How were you able to evenly space Multiples of 3 Ceilings when the ramps take up 4 spaces on the platform?
I thought the same. Platform doesn't seem big enough.
Was just going to build the main building and I was almost done and started on the second level only to discover when I went to place the 5 triangle ceilings and 2 regular ceilings just before 8:58 they don’t connect to each other and are slightly skewered and I’m not quite sure where I went wrong as everything else up to this point lined up okay. I’ll probably continue the build and see if I can make it work but boy was that disappointing. Likely just something I did on my end because the tutorial itself is fantastic and well explained.
It is beautiful and I will try to make it with some modifications that I have in mind❤
Way back on a private server we did one on Rag. Server was corrupted and lost two years of work with friends.

i've seen your solution to clipping walls thru ramps but that is the least of the clipping issues in this build. I cant clip the ramps or triangle roofs into eachother to for the base. i can clip the ceilings to form the floor. This build as it is demonstrated just simply doesnt work anymore. (my follow up comment details my solutions to the issues I was having)
I gave a review of the video that said the build doesn't work. I have since revisited and gotten creative with quarter/triangular ceiling tiles and filled in almost every gap. There are some spots against the trunk that dont seem to want to allow clipping. weirdly enough i noticed that if i look at a more upwards angle, the clipping would suddenly work. I have 1 single gap I am still trying to fix this way. So far - so good!

is there any way to currently do the ramps at the beginning with clipping being removed?
They should add in a rope bridge in my opinion…
how can tou overlay the structures, because I cant put some ramps cause one overlay

Looking for ideas for my single player playthrough, im a newbie to ark and this looks insane, can you build this on "creative" then turn it back off and it will still be there ?? Thats ALOT of resources to source lol

the ramps and triangle roofs made my braincells go from a healthy population, to only 2 of them fighting over second place.
I love the design but, but trying to line these things up in the beginning is a nightmare for me.
Dude!!!!! I'm new to ASA (like 14hrs in on ps5), super noob and I'm youtubing EVERYTHING haha. Having so much fun though! Been scratching my head about a great base idea for ages and this, THIS my friend is totally what I'm gonna start building as soon as the kids go to bed tonight haha!
A few questions from a noob:
1. I'm pmaying solo pve, totally on.my own so wood is fine right?
2. Can flying dinos destroy a wooden tree house?
3. Would I be able to slap a generator in this and flood light the while tree canopy (y'know, after a few years of grinding)?

To answer your questions - Wood is fine, and any dino can destroy most things, naturally thatch and wood are weaker than stone and metal buildings, but you should be fine. Yes you can put a generator in there. Glad you liked the video and thanks for subscribing :)

I wasted about 2 hours gathering resourses for wooden ramps, only to realise that he used triangle roofs. You cant snap 3x ceilings in the middle as there are only 4 with ramps
dumb question but can this be used on the ground? we had just started on a server and this looks so cool but not ready to move to the redwood area just yet lol

How do connect ramps to a platform... Mine will not snap
The bridge deletes itself if you pickup pretty much anything on the first platform
perhaps the space on the tree platform itself, under the slanted roofs, could potentially also be used for mass storage and/or small dino breeding? I love to maximize utility of space while also making things look good, so that's all I could think about after those were covered up lol ^^;
That's actually a very good idea. The main goal for me with the ramps was to give the platforms more shape and character, but you could absolutely maximize the space there.
Only reason Im scared to do that is one of my idiot friends accidentally picking up the tree house it's self
Just spent quite a decent amount of time gathering all the materials needed for this. Started the build, and followed the tutorial as instructed. Did two rows of ramps as mentioned, but I can only do 4 ceilings then 2, then 4 and etc. What did I do wrong?? Sorry if this is a dumb question!

Platforms arent big enough to make this build.
Has this been built with mods? I'm on an unofficial server without mods and can't do the clipping of the ramps. It can't overlapse in the corners of the platform :(
Has to be molded im on official and also can't clip bit the triangles kinda shitty and annoying
Math ain't mathin... it says 44 wood ramps but it takes 48 to go around and then if you double the height, makes a total of 96. unless I'm looking at something wrong. But great video and I love the ideas you're sharing.

I may have mathed wrong..... I decided to count every piece used after building it (really bad idea for a base this big) and I may have made a mistake on some thing, my apologies for that =/

You seem to fit 5. I can only fit 4
I made it to the thatch roof part of the first house and cant do it because clipping. has anyone done something different to make it work?

This is beautiful! i'm still new to ark, so I have a couple questions. Can you house land-based dinos in one of these, or is it too small? I'm not talking a bronto or anything, but maybe a trike or something? I think a tree base hatchery would be fun, but not sure if it can support it? I've heard of elevators, but I know nothing about them, if they can carry dinos up to a tree base or not
Elivators have three different sizes small medium, large in ASE the size of the elevator platform had a limited amount of weight that it could lift. I don’t know if that changed in ASA
Spent hours and hours putting this tree house together…only to find out the disable structure collision mod doesn’t work and I can’t complete the tree house.

im a bit curious can a thylo just spawn randomly on one of these trees?
I've not had this happen yet, I only had 1 when I first started the base and had to clear out the area, but can't say for certain. I would assume not though
@@CurtisBuilds As someone who’s been personally ambushed by thylos in ASE, I can tell you this; if you’re building in the Redwoods, be prepared and keep a sharp lookout. Those MFs could be anywhere.
Make sure to at least have a couple tamed before putting platforms in all trees. Will kill the spawn and will never be able to get one. 💪🏾👑🐍
The platforms can have stuff snapped to the edges, you could build up to 3 cielings out from it. You can also build under it. Really nice build but its an ocd nightmare 😅 so much can be optimised. Have you heard of Aaron Longstaff? Hes currently building a tree house on his channel it may give you a ton of ideas if you checked him out

Just started this build.... 44 ramps only does half of one platform....
How do you do the creative mode
Platforms 2 and 3 are entirely different builds with different foundation layouts, they are not the first house copied and pasted. Good video, but you really need to complete it with the other walkthroughs
Why cant i overlap the ramps like you do?
I mention this in the pinned comments, a recent update fixed the clipping sadly, in my bunker base build I do show you how to still clip, but it isn’t as good now
So triangle roofs dont mesh i feel like theres mod in this vid thats letting it happen
Check my pinned comment, this clipping issue was fixed sadly in a recent update but my bunker video explains how to still clip items with the recent fixes
@CurtisBuilds sadly I dont think that applies to the triangle base that I'm having trouble woth however such a fast reply and trying to be helpful one earnt you a sub thank you for trying
