Sharpening the bandsaw teeth on the Woodmizer was an added chore, which this saw eliminates. Looks like a slick outfit, but sawdust buildup right where the sawyer has to walk will be a problem.
This is the 8inch model. Good for 16" x 8" boards, one unlimited slab per log, weatherboards right off the log. Timber right off the log without rehandling. It's good for the pocket, too, as the blade lasts for years. Good Sawdust shavings, too. They are peelings not dust.
Looks like a similar design to the old Mobile Dimension sawmills. Those had a Volkswagen engine, cut vertically and horizontally at the same time, and the mill propelled itself.
This one can cut quicker due to more hp to one blade, cut larger dimensions, and saws the next board while you stack the previous. Our automated version also pulls the previous board back while sawing the next... great, one man option. But ultimately, the key to success on this one is it can section saw. You don't need to attempt to take it in one bite fighting tension and hard timbers.
Not as simple as that, you need to swing the blade at the other end and also perform sizing. Also need 100 variable speed from very slow to a quick run. Luckily we've figured this out and have automated mills available on our website. www.turbosawmill.com
This is a different way of cutting, instead of loosing 4+ boards around the bark region on a band you loose a little through kerf. So in my opinion with a swingblade your up a few boards rather then down.
@@TURBOSAWMILL I have a Norwood band mill that is set up for large logs and 24' length, timbers and beams are our main concern but we take all the side lumber down to 3/4 in. and nothing goes to waste, we will be getting a two blade edger next spring because cutting boards in the band mill is slow but it works but the edger as way faster and we can concentrate more on the heartwood. Our 1" x 8" x 8' is really popular and sells like hotcakes. Thanks for making the video!!
Swing blades cut better and bigger wood. The blades are faster and eiser to sharpen. They are less bulky. The kerf is more like 1/8 so also half what you said.
Exciting glimpse into the future of sawmilling technology!
Thank you from the opening cut to the last cut very good showing.

Not really, always consider the automated version...

Just as long as the sawdust is dry. Wet, you'll need a scoop shovel. @@atomicwedgie8176

@@TURBOSAWMILL I was not criticizing your saw. Just noting the similarities and differences. My brother used to have a Mobile Dimension mill.
@justjames9775 I was just pointing out the advantages in having one blade is all. Thanks.
Super bon boulot. Pourrait-on en commander ?

Why not stick a motor on the feeder so these fellers aren’t having to push? U could throw a decent motor on for an extra fifty quid no?

Would obviously been nice if ya learned to talk and told us some things about the saw like features, the pro's and con's, etc
We've got another 200 videos for that check out our channel...

Hello,
Notre Ami Amadou m'a donné cette contact.
This is an exercise machine and the lumber is just a byproduct of weight loss and sweat.
You can automate it, then add the board return and finally invest in a forklift.
You are losing quarter inch of wood with every cut and there were a lot of cuts. I like the engineering and quality of build though.
This is a different way of cutting, instead of loosing 4+ boards around the bark region on a band you loose a little through kerf. So in my opinion with a swingblade your up a few boards rather then down.
And in my opinion some of the best wood is around the outside region.
