കുറെ ആളുകൾ research papers പബ്ലിഷ് ചെയ്യുന്നുണ്ട് but most of them are useless.I think this is the right person to step up our future ...thanks a lot sir ❤
Most (I mean 99%) of research papers are incremental in nature. The authors of the paper "Attention is all you need" that developed the architecture of Transformer thought that their work is significant only for small use cases like Machine Translation. Little did they know then that this Transformer will become the 'T' in chatGPT. Research papers are always useful - not necessarily as a standalone work, but as an intermediary idea that may be built upon. In my work, I consider literature review as the most important part of research. Every small (peer reviewed and validated) paper counts and are important in my view.
I think what he meant is the number of papers published by below par private univs just for namesake. Attention is all you need is a fundamentally innovative paper, especially the positional encoding logic. So is NTM, DNC etc although there are only few practical direct application discovered yet. I personally know a PHD candidate in a pvt univ, who published a paper on a modified random forest, written just for namesake and got accepted.
Didn't feel that way. Not talking just about this video. Infact this is one of the better videos. In general, I felt the guests are interesting. But the host could improve a lot in terms of her background research as well as the comprehension during the interview. Also the interviews are slightly monotonous. Once again, Not just talking about this interview. I watched a couple of videos and this is what I felt. But the program in good and should be encouraged 🎉

I do not have a science back ground. But For Eg.. a Motor Bike with EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) gives 50 km/litre mileage at 60 km/hour speed is a Digital aspect. The Same category Bike with Carburetor can be fine-tuned manually by different mechanics can give varying Mileages to even 80km/litre or above also at speed of 60km/hour is purely an analog concept which is practically possible. I also understand that Animals like Cat, Dog can sense and identify their owner, members residing the home by foot steps, speed, vibrations, smell, sound ,time intervals, impact of surrounding air and other unknown variants. I don't think it will be comparable on an individual device level.. but on a large scale , considering the neural network algorithms, it should be comparable I guess. He talked about the noise and variability. Clearly it's not accurate on individual device level
