Nice video, I was going to create a ttrpg campaign inspired by nier, and i wanted to recreate the same emotional pressure of the games, this will help me a lot
That's great to hear! If you haven't already, check out the sources in the description. Taro's extended thoughts on these subjects might help you further
Nice vid. Couple of small thoughts; would have been nice to spoiler warning the wedding death, since Taro actually quite cleverly doesn't spoil that it's not a made-up example. Also you definitely need to find a better solution for audio quality, as it's one of the subconscious things that make people feel this is "small TH-camr" rather than one they're already familiar with. Good content anyway, and I look forward to more.
Looking into your channel now I understand why youtubers keep annoyingly remind us to subscribe and all the other stuff. Maybe you should do it too... Since it looks like either it works and ppl do subscribe or algorithm recognize the speech pattern and pushes your vid promotion. I'm at the start of the vid btw, maybe you do it at the end idk. But my guess is try doing it at the beginning next time and see what happens cuz your view count is wild.
Yeah I guess I really should be doing this. I'll try to for the next one. Similar to you, I just don't like saying it because it annoys me when other TH-cam videos do it
Amazing video!! Thank you so much for this fr :D i came from your manga videos but this is perfect for me because im trying to develop a game rn so this is super helpful stuff! Got alot of ideas just while watching videos and im sure ill get more in the future when incorporating some of these practices 🫡 Thank you so much for all the videos you make im grateful to be able to watch all of this amazing stuff 🙏🙏🙏

Wow, thank you! I'm always wondering if I'm getting a little bit better or even maintaining my baseline, so this is really motivating!
In academia, the term for this concept is "procedural rhetoric."
Ian Bogost is who I think of immediately.

Only 5 seconds in the video and I notice someone is enjoying a Spotted Cow. Seriously love that beer but it's very Wisconsin only.
Wow good catch
Love is for Automata
Hate is for Drakengard 3
Regret is for Nier Replicant

I don't care what Taro says Papa Nier is canon and it is so much better for it.
he said anything he signs off on is canon, which includes Papa Nier
If you have completed NieR Re[in]carnation you know.
He is canon.
Every line is canon
