    This car is so beautiful, I would buy one in a heartbeat if only it had a turbo. I understand the push for fuel economy, but they SERIOUSLY need at least a turbo for this thing.
    Our neighbors have one and it just looks so sleek. Well done Mazda, hat's off to you!

      Turbos brake, this is why I bought this car for its torque, I got hypertech on my g37 and what I see is hypertech has a tuner for a Mazda 3 2.5 making 66 plus horsepower and shit loads of torque than 66 horsepower gain. Trust me this technology will be hard to beat.

    Please remember to beep the horn in your car videos from now on. I like hearing what the horn sounds like on cars.

    Cameron, great job. Mazda cx-5, 3 and 6 have caught my eye over the last 2-3 years. I drive a Honda, so reliability is crucial to me. However, I have to look twice for my car when in a large shopping mall cause every body and the mother has the same honda. Mazda is on my shopping list. No trajectory on the background camera! That should be a given in such a car.

    So much better than Camry or Accord(4cyl) in every way

    I'd like to see someone just take a look at the base sport trim for comparison. Here in Arizona I'd prefer cloth seats because of the heat, and I think the 17in wheels would be quieter and more comfortable as well.

    I wish you would have showed the change holder on the drivers side (fuse location) as most cars dont have this anymore.

    Yo Cameron, how is the Bose Sound System with 11 speakers? I've got the full option Mazda6 2.0 from 2003 with the 6 speakers and the subwoofer from Bose, which has a better sound than the Bose system in the 2008 Mazda6. So I'm wondering how the sound is in the new Mazda6? Thanks and keep it up, you've got great videos!

      I bought a grand touring with tech package last week. The bose is decent enough but has no base. Our 2008 Mazdaspeed3 had a much better bose system.

    It's a nice car in the segment. I wish all automakers utilizing the info screen which juts up out of the dash would build them into the dash - better yet, get rid of all buttons and make the mid/lower part of the dash all touch screen like Tesla. Also that clicking sound moving from function to function sounds cheap.

    • @justrandomthings319
      @justrandomthings319 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Mark Coppola You can turn off the clicking sound. It's just for audio feedback.

    • @Razor_OK

      Two USB ports and a 12V in the center console plus a 12V under the CD player.

  • @waruilewi
    @waruilewi 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Top of center stack on this 6 plagiarized from BMW right down to the look of the vent controls and shape of their nav unit. Similar to how Mazda cloned the Audi interior dash layout for the Mazda 3 and tacked on a CLA/GLA tablet display. Even through the computer one can hear how grating the clacking noises generated by the faux MMI wheel are, not to mention the uninspired haptics compared to the refinement produced from Ingolstadt. Disappointed in Mazda's lack of originality for not extending their well-received Kodo exterior design language to creating something more special inside.

    Go check out the 2015 JD Power Vehicle Quality Study results. Mazda, Fiat and Subaru now make the lowest quality and most unreliable vehicles in the auto industry. Mazda ranked 25th out of the 34 automakers in the study, behind even GM.
    And with all the transmission problems that current Mazda customers are experiencing and the Takata airbag recalls, I wouldn't touch a Mazda until they fix their reliability problems.

      Artilheiro That's correct. Mazda lost its edge against competitors when it used to have better handling cars. But now they're worse than Kia's handling mechanics.

    The worst thing about the 2016 Mazda 6:
    - Poor fuel economy of only 26MPG according to Everyman Driver and TFL Car.
    - Underpowered engine.
    - No AWD powertrain
    - Gimmicky tech features that are distracting in real world usage.
    Most buyers in this segment want practicality. And, sadly, Mazda didn't address that.

    • @richstar85kr
      @richstar85kr 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      UltimateDriver I agree with you. The rust problems with Mazdas also are a problem that still persists today.

    • @mykullee
      @mykullee 9 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      UltimateDriver Actually, let me address some of those for you...
      I'd like to beg differ in a way where I think the Mazda6 is the best midsize in the segment at the moment. I get 28 MPG in the city and 26 MPG in the Canadian winters. Besides, 26/38 MPGs are what EPA estimates for Mazda6's unless you get the i-Eloop Regen. Braking System, and it goes to 28/40 MPGs which is currently best in the segment for a non-hybrid vehicle in the midsize category.
      The engine isn't underpowered. The SKYACTIV-G boasts 184 hp. That is plently of power coming from a 2.5L I-4. Comparing some of the popular vehicles within the segment with their 2.4/2.5L I-4's, a Camry has 178 hp, Accord has 185 hp, Fusion has 175 hp, Sonata has 178 hp, Altima has 182 hp to name a few. With each of their respective companies, all their 2.4L/2.5L engines offer more or less similar figures. Yes, Mazda doesn't offer a V6 or turbocharged option but if they did, that'd be going against their SKYACTIV philosophy of high-compression, efficient vehicles.
      The AWD powertrain isn't available in the N.A. market as of now, yes. Mazda does offer an AWD powertrain in Europe and Japan, but I'm not sure why not North America.. But you gotta know, lots don't offer AWD as well... I don't know why you're pointing fingers at Mazda for not having AWD... Camry, Accord, Altima, Sonata, Passat, Malibu, etc... don't offer AWD AT ALL. You can go shop for Fusion, Legacy, or 200 if you want AWD, so don't blame Mazda.
      What the hell are the "Gimmicky tech features" so speak about? I don't see anything gimmicky... I own a Mazda myself, and nothing seems "gimmicky"... what, the HMI commander (the control knob)? It's actually very intuitive as German manufacturers such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Audi have all those, and their customers don't complain...
      Mazda has plenty of practicality, and it offers one of the best amenities in the segment. You just don't see that. I understand you could have different opinions, but the way you said it is just absolutely sad, and unreasonable.

    • @mykullee
      @mykullee 9 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Daniel Thompson RealMadridSuperiority I'd like to address something with you - the rust problems? WTF?
      Do you own a Mazda yourself? Do you still live in the 1990s? Mazda does not have a problem with rust nor "power windows" or "low quality cheap plastics" anymore... after the SKYACTIV vehicles came out, they re-did everything form inside-out and they have one of the BEST interiors according to consumers and automotive journalists... go watch reviews of it from other people and go actually sit in one... It's quality went way-up and is class-leading, overall.
