It's just hard to explain how this thing doesn't sell, best looking sub-40 car on the road and quality in every respect. If they ever put a V6 in the '17, I'm selling the house to buy it, even if I have to live in it.

Well done. You went over every detail. Great car! 104,000 miles in and only flaking rims , which Mazda fixed, Bose speakers crackling in doors , fixed…. And brakes, tires, plugs. Still feels and rides like new!
This car, or the Honda Accord? I want a manual transmission. I don't have or want children, nor do I have friends, so I'm not sure why I want a family sedan, but I do...
+GT6SuzukaTimeTrials you want a Honda Accord coupe V6, manual, if u dont want to pay $33+ for the 2016 model, u can find the 2013-2014 around $21k these days.
My 2016 Mazda 6 has 70k miles and has gone through 4 OEM batteries, valve cover gasket is leaking, hydronic belt tensioner is leaking, had a misfire and had to replace a leaking fuel injector, brakes wear out fast and front rotors warp extremely quick. I wouldn't call that great reliability so far.
I ended up buying this car. I got it in gray. I'm loving every moment with my new 6. The sport mode is great when there is a need for a little kick. I wish the fuel economy was a little better, but maybe I'm not used to driving it yet. It's an absolutely gorgeous car. I'm just worried because the body lines also obscure the clear sight lines I'm used to with Toyota and Honda products.
Very nice review! The Mazda 6 is almost Damn near perfect my only problem is that it's all show and no go, mazda really needs to put the 3.7 from the CX9 in this for the time being, while they come up with a better engine option.
NintenGamesKev36 I know its not part of the Skyactive engine thats why i said they should use it while they create a more powerful engine, all they have to do is ask ford or toyota.
***** True its painful for mazda not to have a upgraded engine especially judging by their sells numbers, but those oil burners would help, but doesn't look like its going to happen, hopefully they get something going.
It's easy to put about an extra 100 lbs of torque on this engine with no more than $1500 and no turbo or supercharger would bea use i did some research on this car and other cars, and this one outperforms them. 2017 accord is going to beat this car in looks and performance but you can't tune the v tech to put Similar torque numbers with such little money.
Jonathan Washington Very few places in the world want more power in a Mazda 6 at the expense of more fuel. If you want more power you will have to use more fuel. For the performance and size of the car the real world economy figures are outstanding. In head to head comparisons the fuel costs for the Mazda range is always very good (uses low octane fuel also).. Mazda are a small company and decided they would make the same cars for all over the world, hence USA does not get a larger engine (which people wouldn't buy anyway because they don't want to use more fuel).
Accord, Mazda, and Sonata are some really awesome cars for the price. I'm considering buying one of these, but I'm leaning towards the new 2016 Accord v6 EX-L. Seen some of the spy shots, and not really liking the rims, but it's not final production yet, so hopefully that changes. If Mazda 6 had a turbo i4 or v6 I would be all over this car. Tough decision and definitely need to test drive these cars, but pretty certain I'mma go with that v6 Accord. Also considering a TLX, but kind of want the v6 power. Go ahead and throw me some opinions/suggestions guys, I'm all ears. =)
bluex610 You may find the TLX 2.4 and 8-speed DCT surprising. We found it has the best transmission out of the vehicles you listed and a Tech package equipped model list for not much more than fully loaded mainstream family sedans.
bluex610 Yeah buy the Accord forget the golf . I dont even no how those cars compare but not everybody wants a hatch the accord is a great and reliable car, we got a 2012 and its got 100,000 miles still drives like new
In May 2019 I picked up a 2016 Mazda 6 Touring in Reflex blue, with the 6 speed manual transmission. 40K miles on the clock. Paid $9,100. Best purchase I ever made.
Still have my 2016 Mazda 6. 120k miles and in New England weather, still going strong with 90% original parts. Solid car, but would like to see a v6 with about 250-300 mph.
Do it. I bought a 2016 last week. I absolutely love it. 61k on the dash. 14k cash.. mint clean... I can't stop driving it. It seems like a bmw or audi but it's a mazda..
I know this is an old video but my honda was hit while parked and pretty much destroyed. I'm looking into Mazda's and this car looks great, I'm seriously thinking about getting one if my car ends up a total loss. Thanks for the review!
@@Unknown-om3hh Sorry to hear it, my car was totaled. A lady came speeding around the corner by my house and slammed into my car shoving it into my neighbors car totaling both! I ended up with a 2017.5 grand touring mazda 6 and I really like it! Pearl white micha with black interior! Much nicer than my Honda was. Bought it as a certified pre owned, much lower miles than my honda had as well! Now I don't have to worry about the burning oil issue it had!!!! Handles better and pretty much does everything else better! Glad I got it!
I like the mazda6 I own a 2015. Not a fan of the 2016 or 17 the chrome around the fog lights looks like a catfish. Prolly will upgrade to a 2019 signature in a few years. A come from a corolla.
Really considering this car as I'm thinking about upgrading my ride within the next year or so. I was originally going to stick with a compact car, but a Civic EX (+Lanewatch) starts getting into the 21-22k+ range which really has me looking at some of the base model midsizers. The Sport Mazda6 comes very well equipped for a similar price. For that price range I'm also considering the Hyundai Sonata (possibly the Eco model), as well.
I bought my Mazda 6 because the interior looks great and you I don't see many on the streets. I see like 20 accords every time I go out lol I was going with an accord but.
I own a 2005 Mazda6 S and I love it! Awesome manual trans and enough power to be fun without being crazy. Only complaint is the interior, kinda cheap but its too much fun to drive for me to care. Next car I buy will definitely be a mazda!
The diesel CX5 and Mazda6 and 3 sell a lot over here in Japan. I heard it is also very popular in Europe. There are two SkyActiv diesels, 2.2 litre and 1.5litre for the cx3 and mazda2
I had a 2010 Mazda6 V6 (273 hp). I was a big fan of the performance. Not a fan of the reliability (maybe due to the Ford overlap?). I would have gone back to Mazda if not for the exclusion of V6. It seems that Mazda is more content with 'Move. Move.' instead of 'Zoom. Zoom.'
+CeeStyleDj I don't think Mazda would even need to go past 300 HP to appease us people who care more about performance than MPG. > 300 HP would be nice though 😊.
+muscles662988 Well, that's the current tune of the Ford sourced 3.7L but unfortunately, I have read that Mazda and Ford are not working together on this car anymore.
+CeeStyleDj I think that is a good thing. Outside of their trucks, I've never been a Ford fan. I'd like to own a purebreed Mazda. Unfortunately, I won't put Mazda into consideration until the offer a V6 at the sedan level.
+muscles662988 I think the mazda/ford partnership made a lot of cool cars. I do understand where you are coming from but if thr break up didn't happen, we'd probably still have the v6. I'm just saying. now Mazda would have to create an entirely new 100% Mazda v6 if they wanted to put one in the Mazda 6. Sometimes these partnerships are a good thing because it allows resources from two different organizations.
I am a Mazda believer by accident. We had a church mate who sold his 2012 mazda3 135k miles for only $4k. It's a total gas saver, it's definitely a zoom zoom. It has nice power in it. Great reliable car.Low maintenance. The only issue we have , which Mazda should really need to improve is the cabin noise. Hubby have a cx9 and it also have loud cabin noise.
Its a shame more people don't consider Mazda. Not really sure why but the sales numbers are always low for how great the cars are. I loved the new kodo design style so i went to a mazda dealer to check out the lineup. Ive now had my 3 for almost a year and it is by far the best handling and comfortable car ive owned. plus a sub 7 second car that gets me 35.5mpg. These new mazdas are the real deal. Check them out!
For those complaining about the lack of power from the 2.5L Skyactiv on the Mazda6, consider getting it tuned. I'm nearly complete with my tune (from Orange Virus tuning) and the car has transformed. It now feels faster than my 2004 Grand Prix GTP (3.8L v6 supercharged) - In fact, My 6's 0-60 time is near a flat 6-seconds. (the Grand Prix GTP was 6.5!) With this performance improvement, the fuel economy has actually increased - if you drive it nicely :)
EpicPhail23 That's the only thing that turns me off about it. I recently bought a 2015 Camry V6 & it's far more exciting than all of the 4-cylinders & sounds much better than all of the Turbo 4's.
that car got sufficient power to have a big drivin pleasure, nice design, economic. My friend got the touring version and he love his car but G.toruing is almost the same fusion 2.0 price.
As a Mazda faithful..owned 3 Mazdas before finally settling for a VW Jetta 1.8TSI SE. I do miss the Mazdas but for now the VW turbo is keeping me happy :)
Mazda's 6-speed automatic transmission is one of the best 6-speed autos in the business, and it's really good, and I can see why they still use it to this day.
MrWalker1000, 2017 Cx9 and 2019 6...both are low mileage as I don’t drive a lot (mostly city driving) but my 2017 is 3.5yrs while my 2019 is only less than a yr
Just bought a '16 black on black. Picking it up tm. I had 2 Hondas for the last 10 yrs a '99 and a '11. I really wanted to try something new and I was just blown away for the value what I got! If I wanna "race" I can always rip up my white 1987 Mazda RX-7 lol. I agree, upgrade the performance with those options and it will be amazing!!!
This one needs the new cx9's turbo engine and awd! I currently drive their 6 2014 GT version, and will be upgrading to Audi a4 2017 because there is no more power and awd ;\
Love mazda. There's just something about how they feel. I've owned a 1986 b-2000 mini truck, 1987 626 and currently a 2007 cx-9 gt. All very dependable but slightly road noisy. I would definitely buy another.
This car is actually great but it'd be impossible for me to explain how amazing it would be if it were rear wheel drive. FWD is the worst thing to happen in car history.
LightButDark575 That's true but with that in mind RWD is generally considered better that's why more luxurious cars use it plus it doesn't have any irregular geometries.
@aaronowens38 still have it. She's been the most reliable thing in my life. Nearing 60k miles and have only had to replace a malfunctioning brake switch (under the pedal) and the rear brake pads. Mine is the 2014 model btw
***** a V6 and more noise deadening... well, unfortunately both would kill mazda's zoom zoom characteristics and the merit of the lightweight skyactive technology
I think the reason they aren't selling that well is because the people like me who are looking at this class are getting older and want a smooth, quiet ride. But I agree that if they offered a version with more performance, it would sway more buyers. It would give a reason to look past the stiff ride and road noise. But then, they would still be looking at the task of convincing people that it's a better choice than the stiff riding, yet more familiar Accord.
Hmm... my experience says otherwise. My 2008 Mazda6 which I've driven very hard for the past almost 9 years still runs like a dream @ 104,000 miles. My 7 year old Mazda3 is also in mint condition. And the Protege I had for 12 years before that also ran to 150,000 miles just fine. You must've bought a lemon. Sorry about your luck. Otherwise, or you didn't maintain it.... I ask a lot of out of my Mazda vehicles. I drive the heck out of them. And they give it right back to me..... in fun and long-term reliability.
All it needs now is a v6 engine with a trajectory back up camera, Apple car play/ android auto and a safety collision sense. If it had all those features I would buy it in a heartbeat.
+Spydiggity Just bought a Cx-5 and I love it. I'm thinking of buying a 6 and giving the Cx-5 to my girlfriend. They make fun to drive and practical cars. You can't judge these cars from the spec sheet. The driving dynamics is something you have to feel for yourself.
+Spydiggity how are the quality of mazdas? I want this car for my next car, as I Don't like cvts but I heard that mazdas are really prone to rust. correct me if I am wrong.
According to the 2015 JD Power Vehicle Quality Study, Hyundai and KIA make the highest quality and most reliable cars now. For the first time, Mazda fell below most other Korean/Japanese companies. The ugly retro designs of the 2015 Mazda's don't really help either. The 2015 Hyundai Sonata is a superior choice with a more modern design and superior technology package compared to the 2015 Mazda 6.
Auto Industry Expert Mazda was actually placed at an abysmal 25th out of 34 in the 2015 JD Power Initial Quality Study. Mazda is one of the worst in the auto industry.
Auto Industry Expert Korea is the most technologically advanced country in the world. So it's no surprise that the Korean companies (Hyundai and KIA) make the best quality vehicles.
David Bennett Mazda is no longer using the Ford platforms, since 1996 they had shifted to this since they were bankrupt and Ford took over 51%. As of 2015 Mazda has redesigned with Skyactiv chassis and engines. The change is a hit already.
The 2015/2016 Mazda 6 has the worst reliability in this segment. Go check the 2015 JD Power Vehicle Quality Study. Mazda was placed 25th out of 34 car brands.
Stefan Schmidt This is correct. I would never buy a Mazda these days. Their quality has suffered tremendously recently and many Mazda cars have been recalled due to faulty Takata airbags which are still fitted on the new Mazda's. So it wouldn't surprise me if there are more recalls on recent Mazda models.
Shirazi Korea is the most technologically advanced country in the world. So it's no surprise that the make the highest quality and most reliable cars in the auto industry.
It's about the power-to-weight ratio. The Mazda 6 weighs about 3200lbs. The Toyota Camry weighs about 3400lbs... The smaller 4 cylinder engine puts less weight over the front wheels and creates a better weight distribution front to back, which is largely responsible for the good handling and good mpg that the test driver mentioned.
Hi Cedric, if there is one thing not to wish for, it is for a Mazda to be more like a Hyundai... The current generation of all-Japanese 'Skyactive' Mazdas are a class-and-a-half above Hyundai in every way...I am the the thrilled owner of a Deep Crystal Blue 2016 Mazda6 GT with the luxurious 2-tone parchment leather - fully loaded. It stands head and shoulders above the Hyundai in terms of driving dynamics and the build quality, and the interior rivals the luxury makes... I know this because I had the 2012 Sonata 2.0T with 274HP... I certianly lied it alot - great style, comfortable, and sure it was pretty fast, indeed...BUT, after about a year or so, the roof was squeaking as if it were made of styrofoam, and it was also a heavier car than the current 6. You can't just go by raw horsepower, you have to look at the torque and the overall weight. Believe it or not, the new '6 (especially with 'Sport' mode engaged) due to it's lighter yet stronger 'Skyactive' construction indeed rivals the 2012 2.0T Hyundai off the line, despite having 90 less HP... Of course, it would be great if they give the 6 a turbo engine, but a car on paper is very different from real world use. When you're on the highway and need to pass, you'd be surprised how fast the 6 really is... All my fridn
+Guitcec Carfan I rode in one of those Mazdas since. That car is epic. It has a nice layout. Those Japanese are the best auto builders in the world's win you are factoring in what you get and the reliability. The Germans are excellent craftsman also but can't seem to get the reliability in check yet.
Guitcec Carfan I just got my 2017 Mazda 6 Touring and took my first trip with it. I had issues staying below 100mph lol. It is certainly no slouch. I am absolutely in love with the car.
couldn't agree more on the fact of offering this vehicle with at least a v6 option. I have driven the mazda 6 2004 sport model and I love that power. Would buy without hesitation if offered with up gradable engine.
The 6 is already a winner in my book! Love it wonderful job Mazda. I do wish Mazda would bring back the speed 6 or give us an optional turbo 4 cylinder and I would buy in a heartbeat. It's sad they had to halt production on the diesel engine maybe one day they'll bring it back
I recently purchased a brand new 2015 model for my mother. Paid $5,000 under invoice. An unbelievable car for $32,000 ( Grand Touring w/ Tech Pack), a truly remarkable car for $27,000. Handles unbelievably well. My only real complaint would be a few of the cheap plastics and dated trim but when you consider the price, i'm really just being nit-picky. THERE IS SERIOUSLY NOTHING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT WITH THESE CARS. Great to see Mazda has refreshed the car for '16 and updated the interior and media. Would have loved to have gotten a '16 but that end of the year discount on '15's was almost too good to be true. ANYONE in the market for a cheaper 5-door sedan that looks great and handles great, and gets 40MPG on the highway should look no further....
Thank you for this video. Did help in deciding to buy this car. We bought the GT Titanium Flash Mica w/ black leather. Feels like we bought a high quality luxury car. Best choice in the class. Prefer Mazda 6 interior over the BMW. We Love our Mazda6 GT.
I'd like to see someone just take a look at the base sport trim for comparison. Here in Arizona I prefer cloth seats due to the heat, and I think the 17in wheels would be quieter and more comfortable as well.
My mom got the 2016 Mazda CX-5, I'm surprised that this car shares an interior with the other models. It has an identical buttons and interior layout to the other cars of the Mazda fleet.
If there's a Grammy for car reviews, I would cast my vote for this young man.
Good job!

How's holding up?
@george_mol8822 great so far. It's a good car but I only owned it 90 days if that so we'll see
This car, or the Honda Accord? I want a manual transmission. I don't have or want children, nor do I have friends, so I'm not sure why I want a family sedan, but I do...
+GT6SuzukaTimeTrials Honda Accord is a better choice considering it is a premium brand and its beautiful interior and exterior.
I recommend you get either a Mazda or a Toyota.
+GT6SuzukaTimeTrials you want a Honda Accord coupe V6, manual, if u dont want to pay $33+ for the 2016 model, u can find the 2013-2014 around $21k these days.
+serendra90210 Mazda is more of a premium brand in North America than Honda.
+serendra90210 Where did you get that Honda is a premium brand?
just bought 2016 Mazda 6 sport it's very well laid out car love it
How is it holding up?
Still very happy with our 2014 Mazda6 touring (6 speed manual)...
I hate to digress, but that Land Rover that pulls alongside at the 1:42 videomark has some bad ass daytime running lights.
+J High , which are useless.

DRL's are 95% decorative, so your comment is kind of pointless.
@@JulezWinnfield redundant you mean.
My 2016 Mazda 6 has 70k miles and has gone through 4 OEM batteries, valve cover gasket is leaking, hydronic belt tensioner is
leaking, had a misfire and had to replace a leaking fuel injector, brakes wear out fast and front rotors warp extremely quick. I
wouldn't call that great reliability so far.
What a shame, they look great
I ended up buying this car.
The 3.7 V6 isn't part of the SkyActiv engine family, so Mazda is not reusing that engine.
Youre reviews are very well but i do believe while you speak you should show more cuts of the car, we already know how you look, great review btw
Mazda is my favorite "non-luxury" car company. So beautiful 😍
Leksie A. love the term you used "non luxury" :D
You just sold me, I was considering the accord sport but totally changed my mind
bluex610 its cars for elderly, buy a Golf instead.
dulsaf2630 lol yeah, but I feel like I'm growing out of the enthusiast scene and need to buy an old persons car. I'm only 24 but still lol
bluex610 You may find the TLX 2.4 and 8-speed DCT surprising. We found it has the best transmission out of the vehicles you listed and a Tech package equipped model list for not much more than fully loaded mainstream family sedans.
Redline Reviews thanks for the reply, I'll definitely give that car a test drive. =)
bluex610 Yeah buy the Accord forget the golf . I dont even no how those cars compare but not everybody wants a hatch the accord is a great and reliable car, we got a 2012 and its got 100,000 miles still drives like new
You forgot to mention the led grille illumination. That illumination looks subtle and beautiful.
I got the 2015 mazda 6 last year. I should have waited. I like this one.
andiee248 just exchange it ;)
Get a 2019 signature.
In May 2019 I picked up a 2016 Mazda 6 Touring in Reflex blue, with the 6 speed manual transmission. 40K miles on the clock. Paid $9,100. Best purchase I ever made.
this look better than the 2015 mustang front wow!
Still have my 2016 Mazda 6. 120k miles and in New England weather, still going strong with 90% original parts. Solid car, but would like to see a v6 with about 250-300 mph.
I'm thinking of buy used 16' Mazda 6 sedan.
Get a wagon?
Do it. I bought a 2016 last week. I absolutely love it. 61k on the dash. 14k cash.. mint clean... I can't stop driving it. It seems like a bmw or audi but it's a mazda..
I had a dream about this car last night and how it had the best racing seats ever.
I really love the look of this car :P probably my favorite front end on any car. lol
look classy and cool
I know this is an old video but my honda was hit while parked and pretty much destroyed. I'm looking into Mazda's and this car looks great, I'm seriously thinking about getting one if my car ends up a total loss. Thanks for the review!
Lol my car was recently a total loss. I got the mazda6 and it's pretty nice tbh
Glad I got it!
love how the car looks👍 I don't really care if it doesn't drive fast mazda is really doing a good job!
I like the mazda6 I own a 2015. Not a fan of the 2016 or 17 the chrome around the fog lights looks like a catfish. Prolly will upgrade to a 2019 signature in a few years. A come from a corolla.
isnt it faster than a honda accord?
I like this guys reviews, they not boring like other reviewers
Really considering this car as I'm thinking about upgrading my ride within the next year or so.
I was originally going to stick with a compact car, but a Civic EX (+Lanewatch) starts getting into the 21-22k+ range which really has me looking at some of the base model midsizers. The Sport Mazda6 comes very well equipped for a similar price. For that price range I'm also considering the Hyundai Sonata (possibly the Eco model), as well.
I bought my Mazda 6 because the interior looks great and you I don't see many on the streets. I see like 20 accords every time I go out lol I was going with an accord but.
mazda really moving up
I own a 2005 Mazda6 S and I love it! Awesome manual trans and enough power to be fun without being crazy. Only complaint is the interior, kinda cheap but its too much fun to drive for me to care. Next car I buy will definitely be a mazda!
Whats more sexier than this? A Mazda 6 Wagon :)
Zoom.'
I agree they should have had the option of the updated Mustang 3.7L (300+ Hp now) at least for the 2015 model.
Ryan Dinan
Generally, at least with the 3, you can't really do that. The ratio is to perfect at 13:1
All it needs is a v6 . Other than that all around nice car.
My friend got the touring version and he love his car but G.toruing is almost the same fusion 2.0 price.
rnorred1986
I agree. I traded in a Mazda 6 for a 2015 XLE V6 Camry due to the lack of engine options and rough ride..
carguy812 Sweet! I have a XSE V6.
carguy812 Traded my 2015 Mazda6 for a WRX. Just got bored with all the tech and wanted something more exciting to drive.
I recently bought a 21 mazda 6, black/black 2.5 n/a, love it..
love this car, it's beautiful! Although it does resemble a Genesis but with much better gas mileage.
I have 104,000 miles on my 2014 and it's been flawless. Averaging 31 mpg
Can u please review the manual version please thanks
As a Mazda faithful..owned 3 Mazdas before finally settling for a VW Jetta 1.8TSI SE. I do miss the Mazdas but for now the VW turbo is keeping me happy :)
Looks a little like the Infiniti Q50 from the front
Mazda's 6-speed automatic transmission is one of the best 6-speed autos in the business, and it's really good, and I can see why they still use it to this day.
Are Mazda’s reliable I’m looking to buy one
yung retro, yes. I’ve owned 2 and never really had reliability issues! I still have both my Mazdas...
@@ztekz it would be helpful what year model were they? miles etc
It's simply gorgeous.
Beautiful looking Mazda 6
damn this car is beautiful !!
Very impressive Mazda!!!....wonderful review as usual can't wait to see this new look in person. Would you say Mazda is pretty reliable now?
This car is actually great but it'd be impossible for me to explain how amazing it would be if it were rear wheel drive. FWD is the worst thing to happen in car history.
***** You know nothing about cars if you're being serious about that.
RWD is better for performance. FWD is better for fuel economy
LightButDark575 That's true but with that in mind RWD is generally considered better that's why more luxurious cars use it plus it doesn't have any irregular geometries.
@@GearheadK20C4 edit. AWD is better for performance. Rwd is better for burning out. And fwd is good for mpg 🤣
Fwd easier to fix and dont break down as much?
Just bought a Mazda3. I am in love with everything about that car.
Do you still have the car? How is it running?
@aaronowens38 still have it. She's been the most reliable thing in my life. Nearing 60k miles and have only had to replace a malfunctioning brake switch (under the pedal) and the rear brake pads. Mine is the 2014 model btw
Such a gorgeous car, if only it came with a V6 :(
***** and add sound insulation to the car
***** a V6 and more noise deadening... well, unfortunately both would kill mazda's zoom zoom characteristics and the merit of the lightweight skyactive technology
oldtwins You're not a Mazda person. They know that and they are not making cars for you.
***** good because I'll take any other Japanese car over this overpriced pos. Heck, even GM's offerings are way better than this.
surprised you do your review(s) around that area (fellow nova resident). the traffic kills me softly.
great review as always!!!
Put a v6 in it and im interested
I think the reason they aren't selling that well is because the people like me who are looking at this class are getting older and want a smooth, quiet ride. But I agree that if they offered a version with more performance, it would sway more buyers. It would give a reason to look past the stiff ride and road noise. But then, they would still be looking at the task of convincing people that it's a better choice than the stiff riding, yet more familiar Accord.
I'm saving up for this car, in two years when I can drive I will be out on the roads.
Not a Honda or Malibu?
same
honda an malibu sucks compared to this
wowowowowowow sadly Mazda isn't as reliable compared to those other brands. (Doesn't mean it isn't a reliable car)
Hmm... my experience says otherwise.
At least here in Norway. It's not normal to floor the gaspedal. So for me the sound or acceleration isn't a problem.
make a panoramic sunroof
All it needs now is a v6 engine with a trajectory back up camera, Apple car play/ android auto and a safety collision sense. If it had all those features I would buy it in a heartbeat.
Maybe I should buy a Mazda now since Volkswagen is going down.
Volkswagen reliability sucks
I have this car, and I get close to 30 mpg city, and around 38 highway. I love this car.
+Saul Rodriguez Tell me about it. I sell Mazdas, and it is a piece of cake because the car does the work for me.
+Spydiggity how are the quality of mazdas? I want this car for my next car, as I Don't like cvts but I heard that mazdas are really prone to rust. correct me if I am wrong.
+Spydiggity I was also looking at the mazda 3 over the 6
According to the 2015 JD Power Vehicle Quality Study, Hyundai and KIA make the highest quality and most reliable cars now.

Japanese cars have fallen behind.
David Bennett Mazda is no longer using the Ford platforms, since 1996 they had shifted to this since they were bankrupt and Ford took over 51%. As of 2015 Mazda has redesigned with Skyactiv chassis and engines. The change is a hit already.
Hope Mazda keeps Manual Transmission on their Cars. I really like Mazda I had a 2008 Mazda 3 5 - door and now I want this beauty in Manual.

***** Those are for MY 2011/2012 vehicles only.
Underpowered. Should be at least 250hp. I love the way it looks. Only if it ran like a 2.0T Hyundai.
+Guitcec Carfan I agree.
Cedric Robin 2.0T Sonata and V6 Camry's haul serious ass.
Why do car manufacturers ruin the beauty of their cars by adding ugly chrome trim to it? Blegh
They should slap in supercharger and paint all the chrome black.
Ive always liked the Mazda 6 and I still do!.. Good review!
Just to clarify, the sport mode is not new in the 2016 model. It was available in the 2015 GTT model.
The 6 is already a winner in my book! Love it wonderful job Mazda. I do wish Mazda would bring back the speed 6 or give us an optional turbo 4 cylinder and I would buy in a heartbeat. It's sad they had to halt production on the diesel engine maybe one day they'll bring it back
Great review! Most thorough one yet. Thank you!
Being able to hear the road helps in rain and winter ice driving.
He is my favorite reviewer on youtube
I have a 2006 Mazda6 Wagon. It's my first car and I adore it...so fun, corners great, and pretty fast for what it is! =)
The new intro is much better 👍
I'd like to see someone just take a look at the base sport trim for comparison. Here in Arizona I prefer cloth seats due to the heat, and I think the 17in wheels would be quieter and more comfortable as well.
I really enjoy your reviews.
My mom got the 2016 Mazda CX-5, I'm surprised that this car shares an interior with the other models. It has an identical buttons and interior layout to the other cars of the Mazda fleet.
