We used to joke about if Raine and Alanis Morissette had a kid, that the i-e-i-hi's that kid could belt out would be unrivaled in music history! Love this Canadian Gem of a band!!!
Besides being a completely awesome song that I can't stop listening to, does anyone realize what an insanely great job the drummer is doing. The guy has a small kit and most of the fills are being done on the snare. Plus the rhythm is not even a steady beat. It's like the main rhythm is a string of small fills. Really terrific job. I'm not sure who this guy is, but I'm sure he's underrated.
I turn 27 in about 3 weeks and it took me almost 20 years to find this song again. It was my favorite song as a very young kid when it was still on the radio :)
We were so incredibly spoiled with amazing music in the 90's that I remembered this song as a second-rate pop grunge clone. After decades of bullshit music I come back and listen to it again, this song is fucking awesome. The hubris of man.
I followed them for a a summer and met them a couple times. They were incredibly gracious people and awesome live. That was nearly 20 years ago. I haven't listened to them in a very long time and I don't know why. Such a great band. I miss music like this.
I met them in Daytona when they did a benefit for Florida fires in late 90's. I met them and system of a down....they were very down to earth....both bands...

I remember my Dad showing me the entirety of the Clumsy album when I was around 7. Sat in his car and just listened to the whole thing while hanging out in a parking lot, and I immediately became obsessed with this song. 17 years later Im still in love with it.
This is the best song in my life. I'd served S.Korean DMZ police for 2 hell_like years. This song is very unique because the chorus has like 2-3 different parts including a build up in the middle. And then for chorus 2, 1 of the parts goes out of order. Very creative, I don't see many bands do that.
It’s a bit different, but it might be more of a switch-up than a punch-up, if you know what I mean. A similar, probably more common trick that works to punch up a song is to drop the prechorus from the final chorus. (The only example I can think of right now is “Oh” by Sleater Kinney.) Another good one with some switches is Flyer by Skating Polly.
This song meant so much to me as a depressed youngster. It means a lot to me now that I’m a depressed old person. I love Our Lady Peace!

Puts one in the mindset of Stewart Copeland.
That would be Jeremy Taggart, sadly he is no longer in the band, he left in 2014 being replaced by Jason Pierce.
