And what is the main instrument playing later when Homura turned into a witch and battle is near? An accordion playing the Mada Dame Yo :O So with the use of the accordion the problem, what is wrong is foreshadowed ;) Thank you for this amazing beauty Yuki Kajiura

I don't really get how so many people can think this song gives you a sense of "something's wrong." To me, it sort of gives me a sense of... Understanding? I guess? Like, yeah, something is most certainly wrong, but it's all okay because it's for a reason. It's okay, because it may be really wrong and messed up, but that's alright because there's a reason, even if the reason is wrong. It's like accepting a false paradise, a pretty nightmare, in place of reality and understanding that it's not real, but being okay with that, because it may be wrong, but it's okay.
That's why "mada dame yo" plays as the leitmotiff here, because it means "not yet" We know that something's wrong but the song plays peacefully as if it were telling us to enjoy this lie just a little bit more, to not wake up, at least not yet. To enjoy the dream just for a little bit longer, cause even if we know the truth we don't have to say it out loud, not yet.
@@atzinpiman164 exactly, plus its foreshadowing homuras 'theater of a witch' and a sort of sequel to 'raise the curtain' which plays relatively early in the movie. that and the accordion being the main focus kind of forces you to associate it with an eerieness, especially when you contrast it with the original mada dame yo, being very hopeful and bright in comparison to this songs slow repetition of the notes. i like the way you put it, with the song saying "not yet, not yet, let me dream a little longer", but the cracks are beginning to show
This song truly marks a turn in the movie. So much pain and in the end Homura was able to prevent her from becoming a magical girl.. So many timelines fighting 12yrs for her best friend and love.

I've always found Ib to be somewhat overrated. I like the artistic approach to the game, but it suffered from a lack of explanation on why the art gallery sucked only Garry and Ib in and why the damn gallery was haunted in the first place. . Anyone with a brain if given a choice would choose to side with Garry over Mary in the first time through most of the time because it was blatantly obvious that Garry was the more responsible character. Not to mention Mary steadily gets more and more annoying as the game progresses causing the player to unwittingly choose more and more choices which led to Garry's ending. And once Mary was revealed to be evil, the player can still be locked to Mary's ending even if you wanted to help Garry instead. At the same tine, Garry's ending required you to literally kill Mary, a fate that honestly she didn't deserve but neither character seems to care about her death. The result is an unsatisfying ending either way because there is no way where you can save both aside from the fanmade Ib green version whose sacrifice ending was an absolute amazing and fitting ending to the story. What they should've done was made Mary far more likeable as a character for one and above all, give a reason why the players would care for her. You should've been allowed to control your choices in a way where Mary and Garry hated each other less. Maybe have Garry be the useless character who is trying to act too careful while Mary be the more reckless character who actually saves their lives multiple times(which was through her knowledge of the world). Have Mary try to hint about her past to Ib more like she genuinely trusts her meaning the player would trust her more too. That way, her actual betrayal would mean more. And also, please allow the player to express remorse towards the death of the other character. And lastly, add that sacrifice ending please. It honestly has unique but extremely simplistic plot. Ib is a very unique character, but it is a huge indictment that we know nothing about her before and after the game. I know she is supposed to be like a player stand in, but theres is just no explanation on anything about her. After all, why was she and Garry chosen to be dragged into the world in the first place? Another similar character is Aki from Misao but Aki despite being a much more normal looking protagonist at first, actually gets hints and explanations to her odd behaviour throughout the game. And in Misao, they actually bothered to explain why they were dragged into the haunted school and created many different and unique characters and created a universe where their stories can connect(Mad Father). Ib has 3 main characters, a main protagonist we know and still know nothing about and Garry and Mary. Above all, the story was just unsatisfying for me. Its a good game no doubt, but no aspect of it really stood out for me aside for the unique ending mechanics which although interesting, suffered from the drab endings it led to.
Kyo Mado I guess it does depend on perspective. But to me, her playfulness led to supposed recklessness and as someone who likes to really get into the games he plays, I always choose the options that I would actually choose in real life. Considering the fact that Ib and co were in a haunted art gallery that was trying to kill them, most if not all of Garry's carefulness made sense. My key problem with the game as Mary's lack of likeabillity. She shows softer sides to her if you get close with her and in certain endings, and her willingness to sacrifice Garry so that she could finally escape her prison made sense. Its just, her reckless and hostile nature towards Garry made her feel like an unlikeable bitch. And this made her betrayal just feel weak when it did happen. Even in the ending where she does escape with Ib, she shows no regret towards Garry's death(I forgot whether she straight up murdered him or not), happily escapes with Ib with Ib seemingly forgetting everything and the whole thing feels like a bad ending. As a character, she is well written but she felt too much like an unredeemable villain. Make no mistake she is a villain, but one who should've been perfectly redeemable by Ib. And one who is driven towards doing her evil acts out of desperation. Which is why I felt the Ib sacrifice ending was the best possible ending. It was poignant, and felt fitting with the story unlike the Mary ending which felt like a bad end, or the Garry ending which felt flat(I mean they escape, remember what happened, become friends. Ok thats it? No deeper explanation, everything goes back to normal just like that?). I guess, it is still a matter of perpective in the end. But I can't deny that I was dissapointed with the game's story with the potential it had.
I want a version with the bell chimes that sounded during this scene ; u ; (and a release of the mada dame yo arrange that plays right after this, before "raise the curtain").
Wonderful track and title considering the context of the movie. I really enjoy music that puts me in a suspicious mood. It's great for keeping your mind alert when you're trying to make sense of things, connecting the dots and such.

To me, this sounds like you've just figured out that something is wrong, but you can't do anything except wait to see what happens. And you're apprehensive yet kinda resigned to it.
There should be a version of this song called "Nothing is wrong", where it gets to 0:23 and actually makes musical sense, as opposed to the beautiful structure collapsing, that song would be amazing. Not to say I don't like this piece, it fits its purpose, but I really like the first 23 seconds before it goes off-kilter.
Point is to express their world is collapsing though. If you look at it as the first 23 seconds as being the "structure", then I can see how you see the rest being a musical mess. But the first 23 seconds is just reiterating the structure / main motif Mada Dame Yo of the movie, and the purpose or real structure *is* the rest of the track where the familiar begins to collapse. The collapsing of an idea is its own different idea, and thus has its own structure. If you want to just hear the first 23 seconds you can listen to one of the many other Mada Dame Yo variants
I think that the one you're looking for is Madoka's theme, nothing special, but so special. It's not exactly the same thing, but it's in the same tone.
I see what you mean when you say that the song would sound better if it didn't collapse, but I feel like the song symbolises the peaceful life that Homura and the other girls had. The song's structure going off could represent that world and peace collapsing as Homura realizes that she is a witch.

Ib has 3 main characters, a main protagonist we know and still know nothing about and Garry and Mary. Above all, the story was just unsatisfying for me. Its a good game no doubt, but no aspect of it really stood out for me aside for the unique ending mechanics which although interesting, suffered from the drab endings it led to.
Kyo Mado I guess it does depend on perspective. But to me, her playfulness led to supposed recklessness and as someone who likes to really get into the games he plays, I always choose the options that I would actually choose in real life. Considering the fact that Ib and co were in a haunted art gallery that was trying to kill them, most if not all of Garry's carefulness made sense.
My key problem with the game as Mary's lack of likeabillity. She shows softer sides to her if you get close with her and in certain endings, and her willingness to sacrifice Garry so that she could finally escape her prison made sense. Its just, her reckless and hostile nature towards Garry made her feel like an unlikeable bitch. And this made her betrayal just feel weak when it did happen. Even in the ending where she does escape with Ib, she shows no regret towards Garry's death(I forgot whether she straight up murdered him or not), happily escapes with Ib with Ib seemingly forgetting everything and the whole thing feels like a bad ending.
As a character, she is well written but she felt too much like an unredeemable villain. Make no mistake she is a villain, but one who should've been perfectly redeemable by Ib. And one who is driven towards doing her evil acts out of desperation. Which is why I felt the Ib sacrifice ending was the best possible ending. It was poignant, and felt fitting with the story unlike the Mary ending which felt like a bad end, or the Garry ending which felt flat(I mean they escape, remember what happened, become friends. Ok thats it? No deeper explanation, everything goes back to normal just like that?).
I guess, it is still a matter of perpective in the end. But I can't deny that I was dissapointed with the game's story with the potential it had.

Wonderful track and title considering the context of the movie. I really enjoy music that puts me in a suspicious mood. It's great for keeping your mind alert when you're trying to make sense of things, connecting the dots and such.

+Thomas Whaples Mada Dame Yo is major key, and doesn't use the same kind of instrumentation. But you're right in saying they're almost the same song.
Point is to express their world is collapsing though. If you look at it as the first 23 seconds as being the "structure", then I can see how you see the rest being a musical mess. But the first 23 seconds is just reiterating the structure / main motif Mada Dame Yo of the movie, and the purpose or real structure *is* the rest of the track where the familiar begins to collapse.
The collapsing of an idea is its own different idea, and thus has its own structure.
If you want to just hear the first 23 seconds you can listen to one of the many other Mada Dame Yo variants
I think that the one you're looking for is Madoka's theme, nothing special, but so special. It's not exactly the same thing, but it's in the same tone.
I see what you mean when you say that the song would sound better if it didn't collapse, but I feel like the song symbolises the peaceful life that Homura and the other girls had. The song's structure going off could represent that world and peace collapsing as Homura realizes that she is a witch.
This genuinely sounds like the music that would play in your Garage in a Need for Speed game, albeit in an extended loop.

@@jhonathanqp el desarrollo temporal de tus comentarios es maravilloso. De alguna forma también ha marcado la mía pues desde que la vi hace ya casi 3 años tengo una obsesión seria con la banda sonora, la escucho a diario, me la pongo durante el día y siempre antes de dormir ya con la luz apagada.
El estilo de Yuki Kajiura me tiene completamente abducido. Si no conoces el resto de su obra fuera de madoka te invito a escucharla. La OST de madoka me parece su mejor trabajo completo pero seguido muy de cerca de los OST de My Hime, Tsubasa Chrinicles, Pandora Hearts y Kara no Kyoukai.

@@suhtk6032 concuerdo contigo sobre la riqueza del OST de Madoka, y aclaro que para nada es terreno nuevo para mí, los tengo almacenados en calidad FLAC para disfrutarlos en la mayor calidad de sonido que pueda, por si gustas te los puedo compartir, LOS TENGO TODOS. Conocí a la artista gracias a SAO, que por cierto también tengo el OST completo.
Y pensar que este soundtrack en especial fue el que me llevó a ver Madoka... lo encontré por accidente, mientras estudiaba hasta muy tarde por la noche. Inevitabilis también me afectó bastante mientras veía el anime.

I play this game Magia Record (Chinese version) on my cell phone from 14 May 2021 to 24 Dec, 2021. I remember this OST when I am playing this mobile game. Sadly, the game does not last long for both English version and Chinese version.
