Remember, all those swing arms are doing (with respect to the frame) is holding up the motor/fuel, which is not that heavy... what, 60 lbs? You could pull 3 G's and that's less than 100 lbs of force on each side. I'd like to see the details on the aluminum cross-bar though. It would be best if it was just one piece... but probably at significant additional expense.
@@RyderSpearmann yeah..nope..swing arms, especially their pivot points need to withstand quite some side loads depending how you fly, but yes I'm totally with you, would be interesting to know how much they can bear
Both swing arms are mounted into a metal bracket that runs across the back of the unit. It’s a lot easier to understand when you see it. Anyways, I’ve done a crap ton of high-G strain Acro on this unit and it’s held up perfectly. Don’t take my word for it; ask around to those who bought one. The consensus is that it’s strong enough to endure the most intense form of paramotor flying.

Australia 🇦🇺!!!!!! I have a lot of family there. Specifically, they live in Melbourne. I’ve been there a few times. I can’t wait to fly there someday. Perhaps I can bring a few units with me when I go so people can try them out. Lol.
Im curious how durable it is on butt landings and the durability of the connecting points of the swingarms before the plastic fails. Whats the service life of the tank while its been exposed to sunshine. You know how plastic gets brittle over time when exposed to UV.
I recently crashed. Tank took the impact really well. I hit a wall and landed on the paramotor. The tank was impeccable. I broke one spar and the propeller. @@AnthonyVella Bought a custom Ozone freeride to go with it, it won't get here until next month anyway. I am excited to get my hands on it and start building.
When will we see a 25min electric paramotor and ultra light mono trike for people like myself (busted knees ) that need a little help to get to thermal or ridge ?
I’m excited about this one. But just so you know there is one cheaper. Renegade Paramotor sells theirs for $4900 with the Moster. Can’t wait to see updates on this one though. Will they do an option for just the Frame and Harness with no Motor?
Looks amazing, but due to the cost of importing and shipping to the UK, do they offer the ability to purchase the frame and then source the moster 185 locally?
I would like to see the tank plastic come in an assortment of colors with white stripe on the sides for a fuel level indicator so the tank stains don't show. I dont know if a mirror would help much with this tank anyhow. Nice unit though
My excitement in the product is strictly because of the low cost of the unit, durability, and the fact that it’s veteran owned. I love Scout and Parajet as well. I think they look awesome! I don’t care who you are; they ALL fly the same. This Gravity Paramotor will likely be a paramotor just like the rest of them. But if I can pay $5500 rather than $8500 I’ll be a hell of a lot less torn inside trying to figure out why these things cost so damn much. It’s funny. People saying how can you be excited... I’ve flown so many units. Screw the frame aside from the durability (that I mentioned in the video); The feeling of flight on the paramotors has very little to do with the frame and has everything to do with the glider. The motor is simply the means of staying aloft with a paraglider.
Maybe you can do a video on the production model when you get it so you can do proper testing 👍i am a vet and so is my Dad, happy to see another veteran owned business 👍
@@chrisstearns10 Thank you for your service. And your dad as well! In response to "where is the rest of the paramotor, they final components are still being developed. This display model gives people an impression on what the final version will look like (minus the harness and motor of course).
You need to get the evo rs2 and compare them. Out of the 2 id rather have the evo. It does look like a solid offering. Nice video, keep up the good work! Its been too long...
I be also heard of one called the Star Seed! I’m looking forward to hear more about all to designs coming out. I really appreciate the kind words bud! 😁
But do the hoop and spars easily break down for transport? That's my biggest qualifier... I have to be able to take the thing apart quickly, since I'm a dolt and only have a car. It is sexy as hell... or maybe it was because you were standing next to it? ;)
Haha! Hey Ryan! I think that the break-down/assemble time is approximately the same as the Parajet Maverick. My first go at it was 8 minutes to assemble. I imagine with practice, I could get that down to about 3 minutes... time will tell. Great point though!
@@AnthonyVella That's not too bad at all! It does look tough as hell. And I imagine having the fuel tank conforming to your body like that would make it feel super light too - even with 5 gallons of gas in it. If I could plop on my nitro and harness, I think Id sell a kidney for it.
Many of the functions on that frame wont last long at all! To use aluminium to make the bushings for the width adjustmnet of the swing arms is one of the worst decisions and it wont work as expected in the long run! The tank acting as a stand is also prone to be broken shorrtly. However i am sure it flies great due to the placement of the tank.
I've heard the torque issue is pretty high compared to parajet with this DF unit. But I am not sure. Can you comment on the torque/twisting characteristics between the DF and others?
You bet. As you may know, I own both. I've never personally heard of there being a concern with the torque on the Defiant. Perhaps someone out there has said something about it, but I've never heard of an owner complain about it. I never thought there was an issue with the Maverick in regards to torque either. That said, Gravity slightly offset the motor in the mounting to compensate for the effect torque has; Perhaps that is why I never noticed it. If someone STILL wanted more torque control, the adjustable swing arms can be set further out on one side to further compensate for any additional torque. I never did, because I never had an issue with it.
@@AnthonyVella perfect reply … I only heard one person bring it up … so ironically I got a little suspicious when no one else said anything one way or the other 😉… but you’ve set those fears to rest.
@@davidbrewster9743 I'm not loyal to any one brand. I like all of them. If you're comparing, feel free to ask. I have tested out a bunch of them. I also have a video that directly compares this Defiant to my Maverick. th-cam.com/video/mwfnbvqIIYE/w-d-xo.html
@@AnthonyVella yup. I saw that video :) I’ve only solo’d twice … but am one of those guys that research the hell outta something … gravity wasn’t even on my radar until I came across your video. My only challenge is there are no local dealers here (Toronto canada) … but I do know the local parapet dealer quite well.
@@davidbrewster9743 Same. I am a research nut! I was that way when I bought the Maverick as well. For me, the increased thrust of the Defiant was what made me switch. Not that the Maverick was necessarily lacking, but the 130cm on the Defiant gave me an additional 15% thrust over the standard 125cm which made me feel safer. I personally LOVE flying low where I can appreciation all of the details in the landscape; However, low flying occasionally has me in situations where I want to climb as quickly as possible. For example: I like to cruise low along the mountains. With the added thrust, I can skirt the side of it more confidently because I can always climb out should I encounter sinking air. Same can be said when flying in the flat lands. And in spite of have hundreds of hours on a paramotor now, I do bump the hoop section every now and then (albeit, I've gotten better). The issue with the Mavericks titanium hoop is that it's very malleable compared to the aluminum hoop on my Defiant. When it bends, its extremely challenging to restore it to its original shape. Lastly, the netting. THAT was a heart ache. Everyone who owns a Maverick is (or will become) familiar with how weak the netting is. I replaced mine 4-5 times. They retail for around $500 USD. Parajet's biggest dealer knew of this problem, suggested a heftier net, but was told they wouldn't change it because it would eat into their profit margin. And the plastic hoop section of it scratches very easily. That said, I still really like the Maverick! It's just not as durable as they'd want you to think that it is. A better alternative for a light weight pararmotor might be Fly Products "Eclipse", but that would be outfitted with a 125cm prop and an Atom 80 to really get the weight down. All things considered, I opted for the Defiant and I am really glad that I did.
It looks great for my eyes, bit like the zenith, but not a copy. The tank idea is great, I will wait for version 2.0 to purchase one, in general I love the looks.
Very intriguing design. Is there a skid/bar like helicopter landing gear to attach and reinforce the tank to the "feet" you showed on the hoop? That would sure up the integrity for butt landings.
Hello! On the bottom of the tank, there is a section of metal. I don’t know what it’s for, but I imagine it’s there to increase the strength in this most vulnerable section. I’ll try to post an update soon with all the new questions answered.
I currently fly Gravity Defy and adjustability is great. 5 gas fuel tank in this model is awesome! The downside... how do you attach it to hitch tray for transporting and warm ups?
BOOM! Great example of something I have NO IDEA! I’m not sure... thanks for bringing it up. I see how I could strap it/secure it in the back of my truck, but I don’t know how it’d be secured on a hitch. 🤔
Hey Anthony, what's the difference between Gravity's Carbon Prop vs the Helix Carbon Prop? In the pictures on their website they look almost identical. Which would you choose between the two?
Great question! I think they are very similar. I’ve flown both, but now have the Gravity prop. Honestly, I don’t now the differences. They feel the same to me. Maybe the gravity prop is slightly lighter? Sorry. Haha. I just don’t know.
It's seems to be functional, but id say the compromise is cosmetically. I love the way my Maverick looks, I like that it's built out of strong Titanium, and it's only 56lbs dry. Do I like the way this Gravity frame looks? Not really. Great video!
Now. Is it tougher than Chuck Norris though? What engines (4 cycle?) fit on it? Will it dethrone the flat top as the safest paramotor? Stay tuned for the future edition of the paramotor podcast!
It’s perhaps BEST for a beginner. When I was new, I made a few mistakes that made my expensive paramotor loose some of its appeal. Not that that is SUPER important, but it structural integrity is! This unit is tough as nails without being bulky. Thank you for watching the video and for commenting. 😁
jmlcolorado I definitely plan on flying it as soon as possible! Having the ability to quickly be able to adjust the effect of weight shift seems amazing to me. That’s awesome! I assume you’ll get it within 3-5 weeks (from what I’ve heard). Thank you for commenting.
@@AnthonyVella Bought a custom Ozone freeride to go with it, it won't get here until next month anyway. I am excited to get my hands on it and start building.
When will we see a 25min electric paramotor and ultra light mono trike for people like myself (busted knees ) that need a little help to get to thermal or ridge ?
this thing is BADDA** !!!! I want one now ...
You are dude!!!! Haha. Hope all is well. 😁
I’m excited about this one. But just so you know there is one cheaper. Renegade Paramotor sells theirs for $4900 with the Moster. Can’t wait to see updates on this one though. Will they do an option for just the Frame and Harness with no Motor?
Nice!!! That thing does look good!
You look good. 🤤

Where can I buy this equipment
Very cool!
Thank you Greg! Leandra and I have watched your documentary 3 times together!!!! We absolutely LOVE it.
Anthony Vella thanks Brother I’m glad to hear it 😁🙏 let’s catch up next week 🤟
Greg Anthony Harris absolutely!
Looks good but I don't like the net design.. it will be extremely hard to replace it.. i don't like rivets..
Looks amazing, but due to the cost of importing and shipping to the UK, do they offer the ability to purchase the frame and then source the moster 185 locally?
nice video,I can find the website to see it.. Is coming just the engine and cage or the wing too,,Thanks from Dallas Tx
Amazing..
Excelent uaaaaau perfect brother . Strong Like, like , like !
Do a video of you flying it!
I did! Check it out on my channel.
I would like to see the tank plastic come in an assortment of colors with white stripe on the sides for a fuel level indicator so the tank stains don't show. I dont know if a mirror would help much with this tank anyhow. Nice unit though
OD GREEN would look cool! Or desert tan! I wonder if the material can be painted... 🤔
Michael Thompson dirt bike motorcycle tanks don’t seem to fade
@@THE-APEX no they yellow and brown from the inside
Cool!
Page 404 , link not working???
Cant find link Where is the website ?
How do you know its so great when you have a demo and not the production model? And where is the rest of the paramotor?
This comes with the Moster 185 engine included for $5,500?
No. The price of this paramotor went up a lot after the initial release.
Why not put wheely wheels on it so you can't fall over backwards and bust the prop.
Where can i get one
Really interesting man.. Can I know how to make the pre-order and the cost for this unit?
I like the form-fitting fuel tank design.
Same here! Thank you for commenting.
That's a badass paramotor. Me being a veteran I love that it's veteran owned and operated. Definitely can't beat that price.
You and I both! We like to help each other out. 👍🏻
So are they going to make one with mounts for a nitro???
Does it fit onto any trikes?
So... this video is only for the US?
what price? Anybody know? Thanks
Life changing my dream
Can you upload a first impressions video when you first fly it
Very intriguing design.
@@AnthonyVella Cool. Thanks
Don’t own one but if I everrr got one it would be the Moster 185 Plus
What's the price
I currently fly Gravity Defy and adjustability is great. 5 gas fuel tank in this model is awesome! The downside... how do you attach it to hitch tray for transporting and warm ups?
They said they have an option piece that would be able to be bolted to the bottom.
BOOM! Great example of something I have NO IDEA! I’m not sure... thanks for bringing it up. I see how I could strap it/secure it in the back of my truck, but I don’t know how it’d be secured on a hitch. 🤔
Dog of Wisdom I saw there is a spot to bolt something to the bottom, but I wasn’t sure what it was for.
$7,600-$9,000 doesnt seem like a crazy good deal
Anthony hurry up and build and test fly this already - Oh, please video and post so I can watch it too :)
nano Trike option? And they're certainly not cheap.
The Maverick is great looking! I like the standard blue color. The standard tank looks nice on it too.
When do we get to see this fly!?
Now. Is it tougher than Chuck Norris though? What engines (4 cycle?) fit on it? Will it dethrone the flat top as the safest paramotor? Stay tuned for the future edition of the paramotor podcast!
Like that pin looks too easy, I still want one
Nice unit! I wonder how long that beautiful gas tank will stay white and healthy.
great
How much for just the frame with tank?
I keep seeing people say this unit is only 5500 I went to their site it's 8500
If you can put a Nitro motor on it, it would be the best model ever..
Hi it’s possible you sent to me the info of that paramotor and the best motor to put
From my understanding, the only motor available for this frame is the Moster 185 or the Atom 80. I love the Moster 185.
Good review Anthony!
Sparked my curiosity fir sure as a beginner. Ima gonna need some strength 😂
It’s perhaps BEST for a beginner. When I was new, I made a few mistakes that made my expensive paramotor loose some of its appeal. Not that that is SUPER important, but it structural integrity is! This unit is tough as nails without being bulky. Thank you for watching the video and for commenting. 😁
Since you have one in your hands, you plan on flying it?
I’d love your perspective of how it flys.
jmlcolorado I definitely plan on flying it as soon as possible! Having the ability to quickly be able to adjust the effect of weight shift seems amazing to me. Because sometimes I don’t want it to effect my heading, while other times, I want a ton of it! This is one of the reasons I’m really excited to fly it for the first time. 😁 I might be able to make a flying video with this unit within a few weeks... we’ll see!
Also curious about whether or not you can order this sans the motor, and be able to put on, say, a Nitro 200?
Hmmm... from the looks of it, they only offer Vittorazi products. Do you have a preference for Nitro engines?
