@@timelord2222 No need to worry about that. Shutters are tested for a minimum of 150 000 clicks and most shutters will double that pretty easy. Some even outlast that by the tenth folds.

I’ve done a couple Timelapse with my Z6 in movie mode. However using this function, I don’t have the individual images at the end, just a Timelapse movie. I have recently considered taking individual images and blending into a Timelapse but until now haven’t found a simple way to convert images into a Timelapse. The next Timelapse I do with be following your method. As always your instructions are easy to follow and to the point, thanks David.

What I discovered after doing this is that the resulting MP4 video is half the size of building a video using all the RAW files in Premiere Elements for example. I'm assuming this is because both Photoshop and Lightroom when exporting videos compress much more than dedicated video editors. So you might think you're getting a 4K video but it is quite a bit more compressed. Adobe admitted to me that editing a video in Lightroom ends up compressing it more so it makes sense Photoshop would do the same. Something to possibly be wary of if you're looking for as little degradation as possible.

I was excited about trying this, but I keep running into the same problem. I am using only jpeg images and they are all in one folder, but image sequence keeps turning gray. I click one picture, click image sequence and selection more images. When I select more images the image sequence deselects?!?!

No need to select more images. Just select the first image, then click image sequence, and open. It will load them all

Seems to me after you did your work on your raw images in LR going into a video editor would be easier to create the video.

You can do it multiple ways. Many people just have PS though and don’t want to pay for something else. I think this is a good option for anyone dabbling in Timelapse

No key frame, can't see what you are doing at all, it's under the video controls from TH-cam. And render viideo--how do you do that with ONE PHOTO???

I followed your steps in photoshop only and when I go to export, the only option is render image sequence, not render video. Where did I go wrong? I did edit my files in photoshop instead of Lightroom and changed from raw to jpeg there. Exported into a folder and started the process following your photoshop instructions from there. I just want to see this time lapse!

@@2222paulr I would recommend watching Gunther wegners video on LR time lapse. He created the program and he responds to these comments pretty quickly and is really helpful.
