Good job! Started mine myself 8 months ago & still doing my own reties. It takes me two days high density (410 locs with shaved sides) 4 point rotation. Keep going queen!!!
I just wanted to mention you technically *can* retie on wet or dry hair but I’ve heard (and also learned from experience with my own DIY two strand twist starter Loc set) it’s best to do it on wet/damp while the hair is more elastic... which you did, so awesome. Therefore when you retie, you’re really getting the most “length” out of your loc if that makes sense. Whereas on dry hair, you may find more loose hairs near the base which may *appear* to be new growth. Just to address to statement you made about dry or wet. But I understand how this can be confusing because you get them established on dry hair 😩 in the professional sisterlocks world. But your grid and locs are SO snatched. I’m in the process of growing out my hair to restart mine 😭❤️.
Just finished doing my micro twist, I'll be doing a 2 pt rotation, it's a little easier for me. It was so satisfying watching you do this though! Your hair is lovely!!!
I just watched your newest video yesterday, and then this video popped up today in my feed. It’s inspiring to see how much your hair has grown and matured in a year.
Hunnay.....thank you for the tip on the tool. This is theeee best tool Ever! Beats the heck out 30 to $100 for a tool that still gives you issues! Thank you!💕💕💕
Great job👏🏿💜 thanks for uploading this video, because your hair looks exactly like mine after I did my two strand twists and I'm about to do my first retie. So this was perfect for me because my hair looks exactly like yours. Thank you so much have a blessed day.🙏🏿
Thanks queen!! and yes your way works too, if you think about it its the same you only start at a different point, long as we're hitting that 4 point or rotation ❤
You did a beautiful job. I've seen those that have paid 500 hundred and above that doesn't look as beautiful as yours. Thank you for showing me, I could do this myself
Finally found locs that look just like mine. I'm at 5 weeks now. I planned to do my first retie at 3 months, but I may just get it done at 8 weeks instead
From most of the research that i dd they recommend to do them at 8 weeks max for starter locks , later on you can do what you what once they mature... we are on the same boat.... waiting for my first retie🎉
Hiw often should you wash your hair initially? Do you wash once a week or biweekly or do you have to wait till a retie is due so as not to mess up the roots? Also, noticed you are not discussing conditioners. Is that a no-no for microlocs? Is that to avoid buildup? Learning...🙏🏾
Not yet, I know about it, I just haven't ordered it bcz Im okay with the tools I use and don't really want to spend the 25 on the nappy loc tool jus yet.. LOL but I'm sure it's coming. ♥️♥️
That’s it, I’m locking! 😂. Your locs are soo nice 😍 and you did an awesome job!!

More love to you.. ooh wee!!! It's takes me a full day!! My first Retie I thought it would only take me 6 hours.. lol Idk who I thought I was...
Girl, I have shaved sides and I'm tryna start microlocs
Yours has been the most helpful video! I’m locking in a few months by myself and I’ll be rewatching all your videos till I’m ready!

Lovely locs😍! Mine are not nearly as small as yours, but I did start with 2 strand twists and I maintain by interlocking.
Okay boo!!! I can't wait til I am at my loc-versary too!! #thepatience
Your Locs are amazing😍....why not land down? I interloc my sister hair and I go “right(1), up(2), left(3) and down (4)”! I’m going to try way☺️
Thanks queen!! and yes your way works too, if you think about it its the same you only start at a different point, long as we're hitting that 4 point or rotation ❤

I’m going to have to learn to do my own. Had a retort done and now some of my locs are connected together and they shouldn’t be 🥹
You make me feel like I can do this. Thank you for sharing.
I love it you did a fantastic job on your locks you rock God bless ❤️❤️
Thanks for that index card picture. I will use it to try my retightening! Great job and beautiful hair ❤️
Oh nice!! I'm glad it helped ☺️
My loctician keeps cancelling on me so I want to learn how to diy. Your video
Is helpful. Thanks
Beautiful can wait to start my own lock
Thanks for showing the 4 point rotation. How many times do you repeat this?

Thank you for this simple tutorial
Lovely!❤️💕 just finished my second retie! And I’m loving it! Have you thought about the Nappy Loc tools? They’re amazing!
I had to buy multiple backups of those because that tool changed the game for me 🤎
@@EspeciallyFree RIGHT?!? I just tried it for the first time, and it’s AMAZING 😍😍😍It’s perfect for small parts. Just glides right through.

Yeah I felt like that at first too but you really do pay for quality plus it’s black owned.
But either way your locs are 😍😍😍
VERY CUTE AND KUDOS TO YOU MY QUEEN FOR HAVING THE TIME AND PATIENCE 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Thanks sis ♥️
See everytime I do my mini twists I’m like hmm what if I just interlocked them 😂
Ur locs are beautiful 😻 I want them so bad but they are so high
Did you start your locs with twists? I love your hair!!
Thank you! Yes I did .
You are so talented 💗💗💗💗gorgeous

Hello! Your locs are 🔥!!! Just started my journey. What kind of oils do you use?
Hey love. welcome to the family. I actually make my own oils :) I just recently closed my Etsy
🔥
What is your grid pattern?
Nice job! How long did it take you?
Thank you! This took forever!! I did this over the course of two days.
Where did you get that needle?
Just purchased these needles!
Where?!
Quick question pls, so when you did your install of the twists did you use the 4 point rotation? I ask cause I don’t recall seeing it
No problem!
Nope.. when I started with the twostrand' I didn't do any interlocking until my first retie.
What made you choose micro locs?
How long did it take you to start the initial starter locs and how long did it take to do your retie
Starter locs 12.5 hrs and my first retie was a two day project 😆
Merci my love
How long did you wait in between your starter locs and your first retie?
4weeks
Yes 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾💞
New subber let’s grow 🚀

My first retie was 4point
What do u call the tool she used
Hi love. They are yarn needles. I also made a video on the tool itself. Thanks for watching
Where you get the pin?
hi. could this be undone?
As in combing your locs out, ? Yes.. ppl have combed their locs out, it will take some time especially after theyre are matured!!
