So right about roots type. Mine stray in the beginning. Then when length comes, my roots stay with the locs. I just started my third journey, but my first set of micro locs. This is the best and most informative hair video I’ve seen on TH-cam. Most just love to hear themselves speak. You shared and illustrated well. I love the elephant in the background. Spirit animal 💕

Instead of a bigger needle I just inserted a flat screwdriver into the needle eye and gently but firmly twisted it. That will widen the hole for your fatter locs. I also used wire cutters and trimmed the needle down so it was easier to grasp. Hope this helps you or anybody else.

Would you recommend this two point rotation on thinner hair? What is the difference in appearance between the two...three or four point rotation? Your hair is beautiful.

You did a great job!!! How did u know that your parts were straight in the back of ur head? Like how could u see back there?

racyrainbow i couldnt see at all, i just felt for it. If i could go in a straight line with my fingers where i felt only scalp and no hair then i figured the part was straight!

How do your parts stay so neat? The hair in my locs always ends up in the wrong loc and I have no idea how it is happening. When I try to untangle them, I end up with a ton of loose, frizzy hair (that I should probably just twist around the proper loc) but i'm nervous about ripping through them to separate. Seems like this isnt an issue for you, but if it is, I would love to see how you separate your locs!

Cienna Davis i really just make sure to not grab hairs from any other parts by using clips to hold those hairs down. I also separate my locs after each wash so they dont get too tangled at the roots. Some of my parts have gotten messed up over time, but for the most part those two methods really help!
