    When I say trust the process! 🙌🏾 believe it. I have had micro locs for 1 year. And when I say my locs look beautiful and yes they started off short and skinny. Just keep them hydrated enough and wear a bonnet at night. They are definitely worth the little time and Lots of money put into it

      So I just started mine I'm a week in and I'm not sure what I should do to it daily. I am just spraying it with water and oil my scalp every 2 days.

    Your hair is beautiful, thanks for sharing with us. Did you say you wash your hair 1-2 times a week? How soon after installation was your first wash?

    • @TheMamaGreen

      You're welcome. Yes, I wash 1-2x a week. I would wait a month if you can. If you work out. just braid and band and you'll be fine. Don't take braids out until your hair is completely dry!

    Thank you so much for this video! I too am a Black girl who regularly practices hot yoga. I've been looking for advice for microlocs (specifically starter microlocs) from another yogi. Thank you!

    I am thinking about getting micro locs. Just afraid of how short they will look and may add extensions.

    • @TheMamaGreen

      I’m thinking about doing DIY microlocs due to cost reasons, could I start my own?

    My head snapped up so hard when you said you do hot yoga because I have been trying to get into it and struggling with what to with my hair! This was so helpful, your hair is gorgeous. I was shocked when you said you didn't do any conditioning, locs really can't be treated like loose hair :0

    you gotta let your hair shrink to loc properly... its part of the process

    How do you prevent frizzing? I’m having a problem with that

    • @TheMamaGreen
      @TheMamaGreen  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      Frizz is a part of the process. I would embrace it and not worry so much about it. Your hair will eventually loc up and it won’t be an issue. I find that braiding and banding helps maintain the frizz. Whatever you do, do not put products in your hair to slick it down

      My Loctition said the more you oil and wet your hair it will frizz
