I’m glad this addresses the very real problem that the death star was gonna be blown up, regardless of whether Luke won, or lost, or turned. Already feels very believable
I'm glad you agree. Despite these events playing a pivotal role in the overall story of the Skywalker Saga, realistically, they are self-contained events that wouldn't have any impact on the battles that were occuring at the same time. It was my design philosophy when making Maul's storyline, and it's the same here.
Luke probably didn’t kill the Emperor then and there because he’d still need him to gain an actual position of power in the Empire. Otherwise he’d just be the rebel who killed Vader and the Emperor. And the Emperor is likely a good source of training in the Dark Side. Like this ending, a proper change of place and Luke likely being trained up into a proper Sith.
Palpatine: What, are you gonna backstab me now? Come on man, I tried that and all I got was a Muun fist in my face. The Sith wouldn't be here if we didn't play the long game to usurp power
Could you imagine Lord Skywalker? He would have been like Vader in full nobody gets in my way. If Luke turned and killed his friends there would not be that little spark Vader had with Anakin. Luke would have been fully lost and terrifying
Very nice! I see some similarities to The Force Unleashed Dark Side Ending (“Lord Vader was a broken shadow of his former self! I knew that one day you would replace him”), and the sequel’s Endor DLC (“There is but one last detail to take care of”).
I get that he would kill vader out of hatred and anger but why would turning to the dark side not make luke kill sidious? Why would he not try to be the emperor himself? That is one question I never got the answer to.
The perfect ending: > Luke kills Vader in a rage and succumbs to the dark side > Palpy cackles with delight and designates the name Darth Filius to Luke > Darth Filius says to Darth Sidious "now we will destroy the rebellion and rule the Galaxy" > The Death Star explodes killing the last 2 Sith Lords in the Galaxy > Only Princess Leia remains, and she has too much work re-establishing a republic, and will eventually become skeptical of this dubious familial link to Luke and Anakin > Empress Leia ends her association with Han Solo as it's politically unfeasible, she rules the Galaxy and dies childless, but very popular. > Kylo Ren is never born, and the events of The Farce Awakens never take place.
This was actually supposed to be the original ending. Originally, Luke was going to put on Vader’s helmet and declare himself to be Vader but the writers decided it was a stupid ass way to end the movie
Luke shouldve killed palpatine and then taken Vader's suit with him to wear himself (which is similar to one of the endings they came up with in the early sessions lol)
I could see Luke wearing the motifs of Vaders costume, like the shoulder armor and black gear, but make it more suitable for a whole organic being to be placed into it. Plus upgrade it because Palpatine gave Anakin a fuckin relic to punish him. Vader could have had the top of the line tech but settled for older model based off old Sith Lords.
@@KenobiStark1 Another thing to consider is that Vader could've always upgraded the suit, but chose not to in order to keep his connection to the Dark Side intact.
So part 2 is basically Luke going down to Endor in the Imperial shuttle and killing the Rebels on Endor but trying to get Leia to join him as a cliffhanger. 👀
Hey everyone, I wanted to quickly thank everyone that's come to view this cutscene many many times (26k views as of writing this! Amazing!). I've seen a lot of comments as of late expressing confusion as to the ending of this cutscene or theories as to how this story will play out. I love reading all of your comments and I'm very excited to bring this story to you all. While I can't say anything with serious detail, what I can say is that this cutscene was edited to not contain spoilers.
I always thought if luke killed his father then he wouldn't hesitate to kill sidious but would fail miserably and end up with permanent injury and enslaved to his bidding and just growing until his anger is stronger than his masters and becomes the very thing he never wanted
Very well written and acted dialogue, but I’m not sure Palpatine would handle it this way. The reason Luke turned to the Dark Side would have been to protect Leia and his friends. Anakin still loved Padme even after turning, until he started to think she betrayed him. I don’t think Luke would have been able to immediately go and kill all his friends just because he dipped into the Dark Side a little bit. Seeing them might even turn him right back, and he’d have been treated like a hero regardless for killing Vader. Palpatine would probably have taken Luke with him. He would isolate Luke from his friends, make him endure painful Dark Side training, fill his head with the idea that his friends have abandoned and betrayed him. The rebels would have no idea what happened to Luke, probably assume that he died on the Death Star. Only once Luke was fully converted and turned into Palpatine’s willing pawn would they spring their trap and send Luke back.
I doubt Luke would have served the emperor even if he killed Vader. He probably would have rejoined his friends but with a darker or perhaps even guilt riddled mind. Or, turned on the emperor still, but get killed or “put in his place.”
Was half expecting a lightsaber blade to come through the chair.
Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!
me too buddy....
like anakin when he beat obi wan and killed palpatine on mustafar
Me too, but let's not forget that Palpatine can sense the bad feelings and intentions from people.
Luke: No this galaxy belongs to me!

@@Linken233Right lol? Definitely takes a different route.

He definitely would've killed Palpatine.
This question will be answered once we release the remake. :)
Why would luke want to he emperor? Or turn against his friends.. it makes no sense whatsoever
@@Ty_disciple_of_LordJesusChrist He would have lost to him, ROTJ Luke is equally powerful to Anakin from ROTS
Facts. Like in the alternate ending where Anakin defeats Obi-Wan, he immediately kills Palpatine and became emperor

Very stupid way, glad that never happened.

I don't think a life support suit would do much good for a perfectly healthy individual like Luke, truth be told.
Luke would be swimming in the suit. Vader is a foot taller and bigger than him.

He wears a suit similar to Vader's after he becomes Palpatine's apprentice in Dark Empire
