I've used 3 of these reels for over 15 years now. The only problem I've had is the clicker. I use the clicker and all three don't click anymore or haven't from about the second time I used them. Other than that they've been great reels.
Thank you for making this video I was looking for a PDF parts list online couldn't find anything my grandson had taken this real apart after watching your video I was able to put it back together thanks again. 👍
Just stumbled on your video and channel doing some research on this reel. Literally answered my questions better than cabellas. Preciate' ya very much!
I think it’s a great cheap reel, and I don’t even wanna call it that. Had it 3 years or so. And it works just as great as the day I bought it. Casting is a breeze, so smooth. I don’t even have a complaint with it.
I know plastic is part of modern manufacturing but i avoid reels with it inside as much as possible. I'm running late 50's early 60's Pfluger rockets and mid 80's Daiwa Sealine 47h reels , the Daiwa reels are really trolling reels and a touch to big but the Rocket is perfect
Seems like allot of high end reels have plastic cog wheels now days the Abu Garcia rockets have been using them for quite awhile now I haven’t tried and pflugers I’ll have to give them a shot
@@carpandcatfishbaitstipstri7309 The old rockets are 100% metal except for the drag washers , they're cool old reels & if you're into vintage stuff they're the cream of the crop from that time
They are cheap I got four of them paid 30.00 each at basspro!!! I am on my second year with mine!! The clicker is loud and I like mine better than the Sweden abus I got because of price point!!! Going go check that channel out now!!! And mines the 1000 size
I have two of them and one of the clickers engaged during a long cast and now the clicker is very faint sounding on that reel. Other than that they ain't bad for the price
I bought mine used from a pawn shop used the pair for 2 seasons of Paylaking and only issue was the worm gear got loose and worn but no clicker issue and even the worm gear issue was never really a issue
Hi ,as with many budget reels they can be made in the one factory and different companies sell them calling the same reel a different name.Pretty sure that is the same reel another company calls it a Aihua.I have seen a takedown on one and the reason the clicker comes on under load is the spool tolerance is not the best and it can move enough to engage it .
@@carpandcatfishbaitstipstri7309 Yes for sure.If you want a Piscifun chaos xs in gold and black trim with a paddle handle ,the LEWS SC600 is exactly it.Although I think they charge a bit more for it ,the reel is exactly the same, even has that weird design with that triangle plate on the clicker side.
@@chepachii Yep that one I do know is the same. Thats the one reason I really like the chaos xs its the same reel that lews sales for less then half the price lol. Catfish sumo is the same as a kast king rover as well. The other lews reel that is silver in nature is also the same as a kast king rover
I caught the biggest fish of my life on that real 64l blue. The real was junk though not going to lie! Lol the line tensioner would get stuck on either side as you reeled and you would have to pop it off with your finger every crank. My heart was literally in my stomach the whole time fighting that fish I just knew it was going to pop the line but it didn't and I landed it. Matter-of-fact Todd Rossen netted the fish!
Thanks for the info I know I have seen allot of these reels on the bank I was curious to what people that have owned them thought about them and the longevity of the reel.
Yeah I actually had two of them the first one the clicker wore out within a matter of a month and the other one lasted about a year then I use the other one for parts and fixed the second one until it finally crapped out. I don't think they were very expensive it at all they were okay for the money and like I said I caught the biggest fish of my life on one so it definitely got its money's worth LOL
@@on_empty I might be wrong but it seemed like a few years ago I saw them for like $30 a piece there 49.99 now but at $30 that def would have been a good deal for someone on a budget
I’ve always used spinning reels, so I’m curious what the clicker does, and what it does when it breaks. If I bought one, should I just remove the clicker? I imagine I could find a how-to video.
Hey josh it daniel i finally got the youtube to work right and ive been watching some of the videos the content is awesome ill keep watching and telling people about you keep up the good work! go EAGLES!

Had one for about one year and for the price it ain't bad level wind doesn't go all the way to right but overall it ain't a bad reel
Good job! I enjoy these reviews.

I would say you are probably correct I haven't seen that reel but most budget reels are painted a different color and called something else

That's exactly how much I bought them for. LOL that's crazy you remember that
I have two, clickers went out and can't get parts.
I got rid of the clicker on this one since it would engage for no reason
Plus side they cast very good!!

I've got 4 of them I also took the clicker out of 1 because of the same thing no problems with other 3
Can it be used for catfishing or what fish is it best used for?
Yes catfish carp or other similar fish
What line is that?
Like that blue
Whisker seeker
Im goin to indy next month from central Illinois where do you recommend a guy go for paylake put and take channel cat gonna be there 4 days
Pre comment: I cast this thing three times, the clicker no longer works.
May have to check it out
thanks for watching brian
Great review buddy I definitely had that clicker problem before on the ones I still have
thanks for donating it for a give away and video.
I think the clicker comes on because of the bering having up.
Only time it would come on for me was in the middle of reeling a fish in out of the blue. I bent it so its no longer active
Looks like a decent reel thanks for the reveiw
