I don’t care what anyone else says, I loved this reimagining of the Enterprise :) it’s not as beautiful as the original or refit, but sits along side those two designs well. :)
Absolutely gorgeous. My only problem with all these lit kits is the nacelle glow is always overpowering. Either needs more powerful diffuser or less powerful lights.
Unpopular opinion: This is the most beautiful incarnation of the enterprise. Although the kelvin trilogy wasn't my favorite storywise, I did love the JJ trilogy for its futuristic and clean look and you can't change my mind. I still love all of the other enterprises but this is simply the best one.
I am not a fan of this Enterprise design, but this is a really nice model, nice work ( by whoever it was that built it) and will look good in a collection..
I really like all 3 Universes,,,the Kelvin Universe is a little more interesting because it has an altered timeline aspect and well with the starships being so much big that's just cool 💯
so in theory if someone wanted to run around your house holding that model and making woosh, pew pew, and kaboom sound effects how much would that cost? i'm asking for a friend.
Haha love it, it would probably cost the same as the model since it will definitely break, lol. These things are so fragile you gotta pretend like its a wine glass!
I’m actually in the process of making this model myself. Granted I need to get the paints mixed and whatnot, but once that’s done, imma be putting it together. Not gonna have the lights tho. But this sight will do, and it does the job well.

Hi, unfortunately I didn't build this model, so I can't be specific. You probably can find a decent lighting kit for a model kit similar to this on eBay, but if you want rotating Bussard collectors then it may be a bit more expensive/hard to find. Paint wise, I can't really say as I didn't build the model. Thanks for the interest anyway!
He said they designed it to be reminiscent of a 1950s hot rod. JJ is a car man, so the majesty and grandeur of the originals that were based on naval ships is lost.

I think JJ is a hack and all that... but that Enterprise from 2009 film is the second best design in all of Trek. Second only to the Enterprise Refit from the original 6 films. The only way it could possibly be nice is if the necelles where wider apart a bit.
@@johndjenssen there was a game based on the abrams films where it was ship battles with a top down view, but the menu had a rear shot of the ship (2009 ship) with the necelles spread a part and it was perfection.
I call this the Dr. Suess Enterprise in the JJ movies. The designers must have big fans of The Cat in The Hat.- Not a straight line to be found on this ship. Looks more at home in the the good Doctor's books than it does part of the Trek universe.
The originl refit enterprise for me is the most believable and convincing of all of the enterprise ships. A lot of thought went into that model. The other ships design wise are pretty ugly and seem far more fantasy driven.

Depends on where you get it from, but it should range anywhere from $60-$200 in price. If you want the lighting kit as well, some sellers on eBay sell the model kit along with the lighting so I would suggest looking into that. :)

Extreme Nice Work but everything after Patrick Steward isnt Star Trek because Kirks Enterprise cannot change the Design in a modern Style, its a another Universe and so its not Star Trek.
Hi unfortunately I do not build models. Your best bet would be to find someone who would accept a commission, where you pay them to build a custom model. If you want someone who I've worked with before, check out my recent Enterprise E video where their details are in that video's description.
This is waaaaaaay out of scale of anything else in Star Trek. How can it *possibly* be canon? They changed its length after the fact, 1) forgetting to account for the fenestration, and 2) making it not fit with the other starships in Star Trek. When fans protested these canon-eviscerating travesties, they fobbed us off with "Oh, it's an alternate timeline--um, yes, the Kelvin timeline. But we'll fix it soon." This deception constututes a violation of the Non-interference Directive, the sentence for which is permanent commitment aboard the Jupiter Two--wherever that could be . . . .

I don't know, I wish Paramount would leave kirk and spok alone and get some talented writers with goof imaginations to move star trek forward that does not include magical words that can fold space for starships. Star Trek has more in common with light sabers and a fern gully cartoon than it does with the first four tv shows, at least in those the rules stayed consistent and I mean the rules of behavior across the series, no foul language, not lurid sex scenes and the science had to real scientific theory or phenomena. That is not the crap on tv now, not paying to watch that bullshit!

Have you seen the Discovery version of the Enterprise? It looks fantastic.

This technically is the Enterprise from Star Trek (2009) with the three phaser banks on the saucer top and three on the lower saucer hull. :)
