Looking sharp, I love how the Aztec looks. I'm getting close to starting my into darkness enterprise and this build series has been very helpful as a preliminary view of the construction of it.
This is one great looking kit. As always, great job! I would love to see an aftermarket kit to make her nacelle fins open up like they do in the films.
I just finished up my version of the kit. No where near as nice as yours but i'm proud of it. Thanks for telling us about those pearlescent taxidermy paints, the Effect they give is really nice.
So amazing! I aim to start this build sometime after Christmas. I have never lit any models and have no understanding on where to start. I have very limited knowledge on the subject :-( . I would love to be able to learn this skill. Great Job and thank you for this series of videos, most enjoyable.
Just a couple of questions. You build the model before you paint it? Also do you only apply the paint with a spray gun or do you ever use a brush? Thanks!!
Looks fantastic - I realise this is an old post, and I've been skipping through the videos so you may have already answered this - But is there a reason you didn't aztec and spray your patterns on the individual pieces before assembly? It seems more hassle to have to mask everything etc afterwards when it's assembled? Thanks
You will need to putty over all of the seams where the parts go together and then sand them smooth and paint over them. And this particular model has lot's of seams that need to be fixed to build it right. So you can see that if you pre painted the aztec panels on, that a lot of the work would then need to be done over after the seam work is finished.

Watching this at the same time while watching TNG on BBC America. Can never have too much Star Trek!
Such an awesome model.

I just got my kit here in Korea. Paragrafix is coming out with a brass set soon-I saw it on CultTVman, and as usual, your build is an inspiration!

Arent you think too that the Registry Number should belong to the Saucer?
Kinda Strange to see it on the Secondary Hull.
