Donald's 90th Anniversary hits on June 9 2024. And since donald duck is a corporate created work, a Corporate created work's Copyright expires after 96 years. So the earliest iteration of Donald duck remains copyrighted for six more years until 12 am midnight of december 31, 2029 on new year's eve.
I think if Epic Mickey Rebrushed sells well, THQ Nordic and Disney will not only greenlight Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two Rebrushed, but also greenlight this scrapped idea as well. With Purple Lamp returning to develop both.

Pete would be the bruiser and combat guy, goofy would be the leader almost taking donalds role from kingdom hearts as the support to pete's strength. Pete's RV is one of many vehicles used to get around, which can be driven all the way around the city and even in the outskirts were you may find a bigfoot waiting
Epic Goofy could also be set in the neighborhood he lives in from the cartoon, it could be like Disney’s San Andreas in the style of Simpsons Hit & Run
