This was super helpful, I heard lots of complaints (and experienced on test drive) about wind buffeting but no one else seems to mention the solution. Definitely grabbing the wind guard when my supra arrives

Nope no issues. I actually need to replace the battery at this point, but it's overdue. I will be doing the replacement in the next couple of months! Hope that helps and hope that you'll be happy with the purchases!
Thanks Suma Performance! I've had it for almost 2 years now, but I still feel like I got it yesterday. Excited to keep sharing the car with everyone here!
Just changed my Toyota 86 TRD SE for a 2022 GR Supra A91-CF Edition🎉 can you please post the link for the kit for the rock guard and for the annoying air noise lol it is horrible!! TY for such a great video. 😊
tuxmat is great! However, on my previous car, i couldn't get throttle to 100% with them on, had to eventually remove them. Hopefully these will be fine!
I’m a little hesitant to make a finances video because there are a lot of variables related to this. So generally of course your credit will affect it, your APR, loan term, who you’re financed with, how much you purchased the car for etc. With insurance, your age, location, how many cars you have insured with the company will affect your cost per month. I live in Oklahoma and have excellent credit so those two variables will be misleading if someone was to live in higher cost areas like California or NY.
Not to be rude, but your comment question is kinda hard to answer in that you’re using the wrong terminology and words that mean something else: “wheel setup” is in fact staggered if the wheels have different widths and offsets/backspacing, but “offset” has nothing to do with tire widths like 315/275. Understeer is when, for lack of better words, the rear end breaks loose so I don’t know how that could affect the mkv’s performance bc it comes from the factory with 255F/275R. It’s naturally a tail happy car from the kick, I know mine is
Like the above comment states, the 2020s are known for their oversteering characteristics so I don't thin the wheel offset/size would affect it all too much. I don't track my car as it's a street car/daily driver so take my comments with a grain of salt. Typically the oversteering and understeering characteristics are more controlled in the suspension and camber/toe setup.
it cost 1300 dollars to have a new repainted bumper. and ppf doesn't protect everything I know cause I had em on 2 of my cars it's a waste of money and yellows over time if anything just ppf the headlights and the plastic trims yourself instead of wasting 700 to 1200 dollars on ppf for the front bumper, side doesn't need it hood can be done easy doing partial front half by yourself.
High quality PPF shouldn't do that. I have a good friend who installs PPF and some of the cars he installed over 5 years ago still look great. Of course every work is different, but sucks that you had a bad experience with it. I would definitely be upset!
Thanks Shan for the support! Yes! Keep working at it and you’ll be able to do it. I never thought I would be in a position to get this car and I was able to. If I can do it, you can too!
Your buddy recommends PPF/clear bra to protect the paint, if I were to wrap the car with a different color would it eventually still cause bits of damage like it does now? Or is that another solution to avoiding damage/chips to the paint?
If you were to wrap the car, then that will serve as a replacement for the clear bra if you don’t have anything on the car. If you are asking to clear bra the car then eventually down the road, you’ll wrap it, you can actually wrap over the clear bra. I would recommend going that route even though it is more expensive (clear bra then wrap) so either way you go, the car is protected! Clear bra is the best way to avoid damage/chips in my opinion. Some people say ceramic coat, but the protection that does in regards to chips is minimal. The only other option I can think of would be to put painters tape all over the bumper!
@@VinceChristmastree Thanks for the recommendation! I've driven around a few Supra's that didn't have the clear bra. Sad to see such damage on the car, will be putting that into my budget!

Congrats! I didn’t add any BimmerCode stuff on this video since I don’t have it for my car surprisingly. I love it! Really understated and I probably get more compliments from it than my wheels lol
Not really. If you’re wanting to mod it, go for the 2020 so you don’t have to do a bench unlock for locked ECUs that are in 2021+. I believe that few 2021s can be unlocked without shipping the ECU out if the car was manufactured before June 2020 or something. That date is probably wrong so I would recommend double checking. Some people are offering 2021+ locked ECUs like Visconti but it’s super expensive. $2k+ just to be able to tune your car.
