It was a relief to me as an adult realising ALL the female celebrities i considered naturally beautiful had clearly had some kind of plastic surgery. Growing up I felt plain, but as an adult i realise how much of the beauty we see is constructed- be it through surgeries, makeup, camera angles, lighting etc. The women actresses i find most beautiful and interesting ALL appear to have had a nose job- Marilyn, Audrey Hepburn, Carey Mulligan, Jessica Chastain, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway- all have clearly had work done when you see their younger days.

This is true.. What I find disturbing is that young women "look up to" these people who were created by Doctors and use them as a role model. It does create a "self image" issue which is unrealistic. One example.. Marlo Thomas ( I do not dislike her or have any issues with her personally ). In the TV series "That Girl" she appears to be a cute perky young woman on her own in New York City. Marlo inherited her fathers Lebanese nose and needed two rhinoplasty procedures to diminish it, as well as a chin implant with cheek implants and capped teeth. Yes, she "looked cute" and wore expensive "Couture" clothing in the series. Many young girls at the time looked up to her as an example of what they wanted to aspire to , but it was all contrived and fake..

Angelina Jolie and Blake Lively also had nose jobs. As of Blake is quite obvious, her nose was big. I mean, I'm not saying she needed it, but it seems that we can't live with our natural noses. I think Marilyn was certainly a beautiful woman, face and body. But I also think her personality shining through was undeniable, she had great charm and charisma. No surgeons knife or amount of makeup can give you that star power, she was a natural beauty. It’s sad that people took advantage of her personally and professionally. Today I think better therapy techniques could have done her much better than what was available to her back then. I especially wary of “method acting” . Plastic surgery is so fantastic! If done right, it can make someone look so perfect!
Are the Miss World and Miss Universe contestants required to disclose if they had plastic surgery? Because it is almost like rich nations would cheat by having their faces altered to look perfect. I bet a lot of the girls have had some plastic surgery but it is kept so confidential. I know there was a bit of controversy in India with the actress Priyanka Chopra. When she was 19 her mother took her to see a movie executive in Bollywood. It is believed that he arranged to alter her looks. One can clearly see that she had Rhinoplasty. She may have also altered her chin. She had a very large fat nose when young and the immediate change at age 20. She then entered the Miss World competition and won. But she has always claimed that she has never had any plastic surgery, when it looks so obvious. So I guess beauty contestants can lie too, that they never had plastic surgery, which to me is cheating.

The rhinoplasty and chin inplant are well established facts. The inplant was a small piece of natural sponge that had disintegrated over the years and had to be replaced in early 1962. The genius of Marilyn's long time make up man changed the shape of her eyebrows, highlighted and shaded her eyes ,used 5 shades of lipstick to make her mouth look fuller and emphasised a small natural mole with pencil to create a beauty spot.there has been in recent years alot of speculation about Marilyn having electrolysis on her hairline, but no one can give any proof or reference. Bleaching hair will make the face look wider and the hairline higher. The only star the i know of definitely having electrolysis is of course Rita Hayworth .earlier in her modelling career, Marilyn was taught to lower her top lip to disguise her high gum line and that gave her the quivering pout. Marilyn and another legend Marlene dietrich where both experts in posing, hair ,make-up and very importantly good lighting.

00:31 Everyone who I have ever known who had a "widows peak" aka a heart shaped face, had significant Scottish ancestry which was proved when Marilyns biological father was revealed using DNA.
According to people who knew her, Marilyn had a chin implant, had the ball shaved off the tip of her nose. Johnny Hyde also paid for Marilyns teeth to be made to look more attractive.
Much of what seems to be different in different photos is most likely due to make up.
Marilyn exercised regularly, she also started a very consistent skin care practice. Although she was fond of champagne, occasionally smoked cigarettes, loved her hot fudge sundaes, she also tended toward healthier food choices for every day meals. It was said of her that she would have warm milk with raw egg stirred into it for breakfast. She loved carrots, tomatoes & avocados which are all very good for the skin.
Marilyn was said to use a hormone cream, rubbing it into her face, which it was speculated to have caused the light peach fuzz hair on her skin, which gave her face a very luminous quality.

@@mimikins7748 Cosmetic surgery has been done since the 1700s. I have never seen anything about Marilyn having buccal fat removed. I'm not doubting, just, have never heard of it before.
A friend of mine had a book that had belonged to Marilyn. He had a certificate of authenticity from a person who was in charge of Marilyns estate at the time.
He left it to me in his will. Upon looking in the pages, Marilyn had written notes in the margins. There were also strands of her hair in the book. Marilyn had a habit of twirling her fingers in her tresses when she read.
The strands of hair had the root attached.
It was expensive, I had the DNA tested to see if it could have possibly been Marilyns hair or not.
      It was a match!
I gathered the strands, as many as I could find, put them in a container to preserve them, then, put the container in a small 100% linen envelope I made, along with the certificate. I have it clearly marked & placed in a fireproof, waterproof safe. The safe has a label marked with what is in it.

The contours of her face were perfectly aligned. The most beautiful people are the ones whose face is divided into thirds & that it is all symmetrical. MM was perfect when the analysis was broken down in that manner. Regardless, she is an icon, who's legend will never die. Marilyn's looks may look timeless because she wasn't alive very long. She liked to do her own makeup and took hours getting it perfect. When she worked at her first modeling agency, she was told to practice her smile so that the distance between her upper lip and nose was higher.

  • @neildickson5394

Her "folds" were the result of Marilyn smiling too high. She was instructed by her modeling agency to lower her smile. She did, and sometimes the result of this effort gave her that tremulous lip movement she became famous for. Her mole was real, colorless which she accentuated off and on, but it was a trademark. The only enhancement she ever had was very minor nose tip surgery. Her lip change was pure lipstick. Marilyn was a makeup expert.

Thank you very much, I have been a fan of Marilyn since I was a teenager, I have collected everything relating to her, books, vinyl records, DVDs of all her films and I think all the gadgets relating to her, posters are called "memorabilia". , stickers, pins, mugs, beach towels... and much more. I am not a surgeon, but an accurate and critical observer without giving discounts to anyone, many untrue things have been written and said about her, apart from the color of her hair which has been lightened, I have read about electrolysis treatments to raise the hairline and the "sideburn" type hair typical of auburn brown. I read that in order not to show her gums she learned to lower her upper lip, and in fact every time she speaks this is noticeable, that they have implanted something in her chin... I don't believe it, we are faced with an era in which stage or studio photographs, thanks to super-professional lighting technicians, knew how to accentuate or hide, with the use of grazing lights and filters to soften. Certainly her make-up artist Allan Whitey Snyder who was revolutionary in using two tricks on her for the first time: blush to shape her nose, and false eyelashes in tufts, which he obtained by cutting them with scissors, so as to apply them only to external sides. He applied a thin layer of Vaseline to provide the skin with extra moisture and clarity. Allan Snyder used a dark foundation to slim his face and highlight the center. This allowed him to get to the secret concerning the lips. In fact, accentuating the center of the face just above the lips meant giving less attention to the lips themselves. Allan used various pink-toned makeup pencils to touch up the diva's nostrils. The purpose of this action was simple: to make them visually smaller, the make-up artist's last secret concerns the eyebrows. Whitey retouched them slightly with a black pencil, so as to make them take on a different triangular shape compared to the original. This is why I don't think he underwent a facelift... it was just make-up and the right lighting. On the lips skillfully modeled by a contouring, apply various layers of Revlon lipsticks (still on the market) illuminating the central part so that it appears more voluminous. Stop I think I have clearly made it clear that I appreciated your (I'm much older than you, the profile photo is from last summer...so I allow myself to use "you") video, unlike your other "colleagues" or the usual cheap influencers, who would write for a like ...who died of Covid! But Marilyn Monroe clearly had some minor surgeries and changes done to her face, not just makeup...

I think she did more to enhance her beauty with makeup than she did with plastic surgery. She had the best makeup artists money could buy. They could contour, shade, enhance, and fill all parts of her face simply by applying makeup. In person, these makeup effects might not have been as convincing, but they looked fantastic on film.
Let’s also remember that photographic retouching was very big in that era. I was a film photographer for many years, and before the age of digital photography, we did retouching by painting directly on the film negatives and then painting or airbrushing on the prints. You could easily alter the shape of the face, lines in the face, and other contours this way. Using the glamorous portraits to look for evidence of plastic surgery is less convincing than using more unglamorous candid photos, which are far less likely to have been retouched.

8:00 Tell that to Madona. I feel like she is a hiddious witch now. Im not kidding she could play the evil witch in a disney film with absolutely no makeup on and horrify us all. Some ppl do not age gracefully and someone who is in the spotlight id imagine that's worse than death.

What ppl fail to remember is silicone injections were kind of a new thing, but doctors used silicone as a filler back then. They may have had implants and stuff. But like today, silicone would’ve been a lot cheaper with less downtime. Which would work for the Hollywood studios. I think a lot of stars back then had silicone injections

YES. I've seen pics of her before her fame. ANd look how happy NOT she turned out. Sometimes a person should leave well enough alone.I know some people need it; many need nothing.

I read that her friend, actress Shelly Winters, talked her into having her eye teeth (canines) removed (Shelly supposedly did first) to have a better smile. In comparing her early pics, her upper teeth alignment looks different than her latter pics, too, but I wonder if this is true.

I have a question. I used Finasteride for 6 months and noticed that the hair loss became less. Then I switched to Dutasteride for 14 months, but when I comb my hair, a lot of it falls out. Is it possible that I respond more to Finasteride than to Dutasteride?

One of these days, take a look at the South Korean Lee Hyo Ri kpop singer.
She has a show where she's on without makeup - and, of course, most of her kpop clips are with her with makeup on. The difference between the two is startling to say the least.
Makeup can literally transform your face to something else entirely - create an illusion of big eyes, big lips, chin, etc.

Hey Dr. Gary, happy new year! I’ve been on fin for 12 years, rogaine for 3, just switched to oral min. First transplant 4 months ago. Efficacy is fading with Fin.
What would be the best addition to fortify my stack - oral dut once a week, topical fin?

The thing I noticed the most about all the changes, besides her nose, are her teeth. I don't think it was mentioned in this video, or did I miss that? 5:22 if you compare her teeth is clearly obvious that there was a huge change of her upper teeth and I heard she had her teeth done… Her teeth are almost perfect in her later years, but not in the earlier years at all.

I don't think the public is aware that she had plastic surgery to tweek her beauty. Plastic surgery can alter minor imperfections of nature, and make a huge difference! If i was young and had money, i would have had plastic surgery to tweek my looks, and maybe a little more than tweek. I think plastic surgery should be avaliable to anyone and not just the rich.
