How to Carrier Train Your Bird | Training Progress

CJ is our newly rescued Goffin cockatoo. Carrier training your bird can be incredibly important! Carriers are used for safely transporting your bird to and from vet appointments, are a good option for safely taking your bird outside for fresh air and sunshine, and are even used when your bird is sick or injured and can't safely have lots of room to move around. By carrier training your bird you're helping them build a positive association with the carrier as well as a positive association with being inside the carrier. Both of those things significantly reduce stress for your bird when it comes time to go to the vet or be transported.
