Thanks, Jordan is such a good bird. She loves baths and hate being sprayed. She was adopted from a bad situation. Original very afraid of any human touch. A lot of time and training she now loves letting me get her pins, scratches and rubs now.
Somehow some birbs love a good soak and get all excited. Some just hate it and switch into "drowning mode" (squeeky sniffler waay up in the air) to reach the air above the water droplet.
My cockatiel hated baths. I had to spritz her while in the cage and she’d run around. Rarely did it and was sure to cover her after so didn’t get cold.
Of all my birds most love the spay bottle, Jordan hates it. Only baths for her. I typically raise the heat in the house when they get sprayed and let some sit on my should for heat. Bath time is always random as they have the choice.
Awwww honey I'm getting a new little parakeet in a couple weeks .there are two names I really like I am considering Gabriel or AJ which ones do you like
my free range chickens take dirt baths...... part of me wish they were like other birds that wash in water. When they come running up to get the food and dust themselves off and a HUGE CLOUD of dirt floats away or falls off..... i guess that is like a dog shaking the water off themselves.
Interesting thanks for sharing. I have seen little wild birds rolling in the dirt. Nature has interesting methods. But yes dusty birds are messy lol. With the cockatiels we get lots of white dust.. :p
@@BrettCaleb Jordan love this green bowl. She comes for it every day at least for a drink. If it's not ready she waits for it to be filled and placed for her.
Yes we have all types of personalities. Some of our birds only like baths or being sprayed with water, some both. Jordan loves baths but dislikes being misted/sprayed. Patience is key. I have one rescue Phoenix that have had for over 7 yrs she is slowly accepting more from me. She does tricks for treats now and will land me more and more. I put treats in a cup shaped fist to encourage her to put her little head in my hand to get it to be comfortable with contact. Phoenix loves to be sprayed :) but no baths..
Oh she loves it and a bunch of my tiels love bath time. They truly love baths. Some like the spray bottle to be misted like it's raining. Jordan hate it though..
you’re right you’re not an expert. that bird is having the time of her life in there. she’s super comfortable around her owner too. birds love baths. cockatiels especially need it because they’re dusty af.
that is SUCH a happy little bird, i love the baby-talking too...

My cockatiels tend to rotate round and round in their bath 🌊🦜🦜🌊
Thanks, yes it's very cute to watch :)

I never get bored of their antics :)
Lifting her wings for you how sweet😊
Definitely, she's a good girl!
Gotta keep your birb sparkling. ✨
@@rosyvision super sparking fresh
The owner is besotted and the bird is spoilt. Good to see.
So true, I had to lookup and confirm the meaning of besotted and spoilt. Getting smarter every day :)
Love watching cockatiels getting a back 🥹
Beautiful tiel. I recommend getting a spray bottle so he/she gets a stronger misting :)
@@thegreenskittle Jordan dislikes the spray bottle :( . only likes the bath and mild sprinkles of water :)
Cute bird gest her little bath!!! ❤
Fresh and clean :)
Awww i also have two birds but the female one only takes a bath and the male one just drinks out of it lol-
Out of all of ours some prefer misting, some like both. Jordan does not like misting just baths.
Somehow some birbs love a good soak and get all excited. Some just hate it and switch into "drowning mode" (squeeky sniffler waay up in the air) to reach the air above the water droplet.
She's an odd one, she some times seems to hate water especially misting.. But when she finally gets in the mood she really soaks up the water.
I have a rainbow lorikeet and she loves bathing 😄🤣

@@BeakFace_ is it plastic? It’s such a nice shape.
Right? It is the perfect shape and size. Anything I have seen that is meant for pet bird baths are way too small.

You can hold ya bird under warm water faucet they are easier to clean than your sprinkles method
Jordan is a big baby. She only allows little sprinkles. I think she likes the direct attention.

thanks :)
No they like it a bit deeper. Not too much

I'm not an expert but I don't think he want to take a bath. I also don't think cockatiels just take baths like that.
