Yes because the world revolves around England.... No one gives a toss, you've been aloadofwank for decades won one home tournament with a dodgy linesman yet you're favourites for every World Cup, Euros, Wimbledon. A black England 11 could win a tournament instead you've got 'legends' like Pickford, Maguire, Rice. Play defensive negative football score a goal you celebrate like your 1970 Brazil. Cocaine confident fans, sky subscription money and Rice passing it sideways 4 yards he should be Captain!

Why is it always replace Saka. Saka was involved in every goal England scored so far. Foden played 3 positions for city, 10, lw and rw and had 27 G/A this season Saka had 25G/A. For England Foden has 6 g/a in 36 saka has 27 in 25 starts. Espnfc ignoring the facts and focusning on hype.

Perhaps swap Saka and Foden. Saka could try to take on defenders on the outside and Foden could cut inside from the right to let Walker overlap. Seems a lot less predictable than everyone passing it back and sideways

    • @dalmarcampbell1148

Saka doesn't need replacing. It's simple get Trent out of midfield have Bellingham help rice box to box mid Foden 10 actual winger Gordon on the left. Simple as can be the coach is just absolute trash. England will go to at least quarterfinal meet a decent team get bopped off the park .

Don't know why people are so surprised. The last four matches against Denmark (regular time) have ended with three draws and a loss to England. But as always we believe that we are superior. Reality check needed. And the excuses were bollocks , the pitch was terrible (it was) , the heat was terrible (yeap) , but Denmark is not an exotic country and there players played on the same pitch and really they are pro players so it is not better for them than England. And even though England has got the star players , the danish team has players from Barcelona, Roma , Anderlecht, Man U, Benfica, Tottenham, Brentford, Leicester, Milan etc etc and my point is that a team of pro good players playing as a team and with a game plan will almost always beat a star team with no game plan.

If all these players like Foden, Trent, Saka, Rice, Kane, Bellingham and the rest that you keep saying are world class players, they don’t need Ancelotti or Pep to comfortably beat Denmark, and Serbia. The truth is that most of these English players are bang average and they received praise that they don’t deserve at club football.

The real problem here is that all English experts, commentators, socalled "journalists" and fans automatically expect that the England team is ALWAYS going to be way better than every on paper (!) "smaller' team and be able to beat them with ease, even if it's a really well organised, tactically skilled and hard working team like Denmark with nearly all of its players also playing for big clubs around Europa, who are at least just as good technically and physically as your England players.
Several of England's starting players wouldn't even be able to make it into the Danish starting line-up, and not even among the substitutes in some cases, but you simply refuse to realise this for some mysterious reason.
No, you are NOT a better team than Denmark in general, as modern football history clearly shows, but you desperately want to think so and therefore always assume it in advance without really studying the facts and your "smaller" opponents.
England does indeed have a handful of really great individual players, but they are not really working very well together typically, not very well organised at all, don't understand each others far too often, not really hard working all the time and not really willing to run the extra mile - and they don't really have great tactical skills either - that is not just Southgate's fault! - , when they are being neutralised or shielded off and then completely lack alternative plans and ideas.
What you are completely missing here, is that Denmark were actually playing with the handbrake pulled ( to ensure a good result ), and that they just knew in advance from deep analysis before the match which England players to neutralise and shield off where and when.
And Denmark just KNEW that they stood a really great chance of getting a good result against this quite harmless and often bewildered England team, if they just followed the tactics, played very disciplined, worked hard and stressed the rather mediocre English defensive players, as they were most awkwardly and very slowly attempting to play forward - just like Serbia did very successfully towards the end of England's first round match, and which the pretty good, tactically skilled and hard working Slovenia team will now also have noticed before their last match against England. 😊
In Denmark the fans were of course very pleased with this positive result for our team, but no-one here was really surprised by it ( especially after seeing a very poor England team playing against the rather messy and often very lazy Serbia team ).
And most people here thought that Denmark had been dominating for most of the match and had actually deserved to win against this very predictable and poorly organised English team - without even playing at full steam.

  • @ZacharyShahan
    @ZacharyShahan 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

I agree with Don that this squad doesn't seem to be very verbal outside of Bellingham. And they do seem to be lacking leaders/organizers.

    Let's be totally honest here.
Southgate has literally access to the best group of players of all the European countries.
He can even leave great players out if the English national team that other countries dream having.
Yet, Southgate can't come up with a balanced, well performing, ball possessing team and on top of that he cries about missing Phillips.
Which fool is playing Arnold on the midfield, Foden out of his best position(s), afraid to put the best team on the field instead if the biggest names.
It's so easy. All mid level and top coaches in Europe must be shaking their heads, wishing they had the choices in top players that Southgate has. Next to that he sends the team out with a nonsensical assignment. They take the lead and instead of controlling the game and shiw the world how great this team is, they drop back and concede goals.
No wonder ALL the Man United fans were almost dying when Southgate s name came up to replace Ten Hag.
England can only wish Ten Hag was their national coach.
    I'm flabbergasted and in shock.
Can't we fire Southgate before the next match?
The world is laughing their assess of about England.

Play Palmer in attacking midfield and start with Watkins and Bowen who are both very fast. Keep Kane to play final 20 minutes as he can do better after the other team is tired. Where does this nonsense come from that Foden is a right winger ? I had a look at his entire career and out of 277 matches he started exactly 35 times on the right. 88 times on the left and 154 times in a central role. No matter where he starts he usually drifts in as he is not really a winger and his best results are in a central role where England not only has Kane but also Bellingham. Behind him he also got Tripper who is turning 34 in a few months and it shows he had an awful season for Newcastle and obviously Trippier is NOT a left back.
Gareth Southgate does not have a clue how to form this squad or utilize them correctly.

While people will cry at this...again it was a mistake not to have Jordan Henderson in the squad.
He is a leader, he would have helped younger players.
This England team is a mis match and it reminds of Man U.
A team that can beat ,sometimes inferior teams, but as soon as it will play a well organize team with real quality it will get a few bumps on the nose and will get a battering.
Man U did this v Liverpool. Ole Gunner picked his team, Ronaldo up front and he did not get a kick, like Kane for England.
Liverpool turned up at Old Trafford and were 4 up within 30 minutes.
They systematically destroyed a team that they knew was there for the taking.
One of the goalkeeper coaches has come out and said how he laughed at Jurgen's comments before the game.
Jurgen said "Go out and Kill them" in which they did. Fabino nor Mane started that game.
Jurgen had faith in his squad and use the players to fit the system and better United.
This is going to happen to England. I will put 10 English pounds when we play a good organized team. I will bet we get beat 4 maybe 5 nil.

England overestimates the capabilities of most of their players. Pickford is an average goalkeeper, Walker is overrated, Stones' a limited player, Trippier, limited, Rice would make a great central defender, limited as a midfielder, Kane is a great in-the-box centre forward, but no captain material. Other players are playing out of position (Bellingham, Foden and Alexander-Arnold). Personally, I'd would really love to see Saka play as an attacking left back and Palmer with Gordon up front, Rice between Guéhi and Konza (should have been Tomori or White!). Alexander-Arnold on the right wing. Bellingham and Wharton playing behind Foden.

Kane was tracking back and (attempting to), pick the ball up in defense - that's not how you set up your lone senior, super star centre forward, surely.. What was Southgate trying to do here, neither a press nor a counterattacking game..
Muppet in the grey jacket - Rice should not be plying a No 6, role - he can't play a killer ball under pressure - fact. Foden plays down the left here and then cuts right across the front of the Denmark game to take out a Denmark player on the other side of the pitch, who is setting off from the right back position ..why?
