Well to be fair with 4points they basically secured quarter finals spot. It was not good showing, but group stage is quite boring most of the time in tournaments as you just need to make you get in top2 (or top3 with enough points and good goal difference).

I don't like or support England, but the objective truth is that no team will "rinse" them. Uninspired as they are, as plodding as they are, they're not easy to beat for some reason. I still think they'll top their group, get an easy round of 16 draw, and wind up at least in the semis.
The problem with the media is they do not provide any context for English players and constantly hype them up to be players they are not. Bellingham, as an example, is a very talented player for Madrid. But he categorically does not make the team tick. He gets on the end of plays for Madrid like he did against Serbia. But anyone expecting him to dominate midfield battles hasn’t been watching him closely. That’s not his game. The same goes for a lot of other English players who the media never actually constructively analyze correctly.

Yes, the only strange thing here is that this comes as a total surprise to the England team and their fans 😊 You were very lucky to win the Euro semifinal against Denmark in 2021 - and even had to get a lot of help from the referee as well. 🙄 The main problem with England is that you are always underestimating the smaller teams on paper (!) - expecting easy wins - and thinking way too much about, which clubs their players are playing for - completely forgetting that most of our Danish players are also playing for big clubs all over Europe ( so that they are used to this level and tempo ), and that our team seem to be much better organised than England and have better tactical skills ( with a very flexible midfield and a 5 man defence when needed, where the players aren't "static" ).

Guess I'm the only one who witnessed the entire England defense argue over whether to waste time on a free kick or try and get a winner and for me that speaks volumes over the absolute shambles of a strategy that Southgate has implemented. I never want anyone say England is one one of the „favourites“ until they win something again. I think this was by far one of the worst displays I‘ve ever seen. Compare it to Spain who were ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT ! I know people don’t want to hear this, but english players simply aren‘t as good as the media portrays them. Yes, Bellingham plays good for Real but the main man for Real is Vinicius (and Kroos in midfield). Both can be true. I'm English and freely admit we were lucky to get a draw. It felt like we'd robbed the Danes. But England were so sloppy misplacing passes when they weren't even being pressed. Denmark also just seemed to want it more. Running hard chasing every ball. Fighting for the win. England trying to be clinical, efficient and conserve their energy. That's what's most disappointing.

If Gordon (comfortly fitting in with his club teammate) and Saka were both playing and and were running the lines Trent would fine them regularly and we'd be in. The problem with the media is they do not provide any context for English players and constantly hype them up to be players they are not. Bellingham, as an example, is a very talented player for Madrid. But he categorically does not make the team tick. He gets on the end of plays for Madrid like he did against Serbia. But anyone expecting him to dominate midfield battles hasn’t been watching him closely. That’s not his game. The same goes for a lot of other English players who the media never actually constructively analyze correctly.

The main problem with England is that you are always underestimating the smaller teams on paper (!) - expecting easy wins - and thinking way too much about, which clubs their players are playing for - completely forgetting that most of our Danish players are also playing for big clubs all over Europe ( so that they are used to this level and tempo ), and that our team seem to be much better organised than England and have better tactical skills ( with a very flexible midfield and a 5 man defence when needed, where the players aren't "static" ).

I never want anyone say England is one one of the „favourites“ until they win something again. I think this was by far one of the worst displays I‘ve ever seen. Compare it to Spain who were ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT ! I know people don’t want to hear this, but english players simply aren‘t as good as the media portrays them. Yes, Bellingham plays good for Real but the main man for Real is Vinicius (and Kroos in midfield). Foden is more of a luxury player for City, I bet they‘d be equally as good without him (as they also showed in a lot of games) and Bayern also scored goals before Kane arrived. English players and English football in general simply lack the knowledge and right mentality to take on matches by themselves. Even the players of the golden generation had the same problem. Individual brillant players but can‘t solve problems without a world class coach at club level telling them EXACTLY what to do and world class foreign players who HAVE the right mentality to take them over the line. It‘s been a pattern for DECADES.

Both can be true. I'm English and freely admit we were lucky to get a draw. It felt like we'd robbed the Danes. But England were so sloppy misplacing passes when they weren't even being pressed. Denmark also just seemed to want it more. Running hard chasing every ball. Fighting for the win. England trying to be clinical, efficient and conserve their energy. That's what's most disappointing.
