It always amazes me that he's been a vet for so long. Yet when a dog is waking and having a tough time he is comforting them. You'd think he'd become "hardened" to it.

We had to make a similar decision about my daughter's 17 y/o cat. She had a thyroid cyst and liver cancer. We had both operations done at the same time. They got all of the cyst, but only about 2/3 of the cancer because of the way it was wrapped around the blood vessels leading to the liver. The oncologist recommended AGAINST chemotherapy because of how toxic it is, the age of the cat and the fact that the cancer was a low grade/slow growing kind. The cat is now over 18 y/o and still doing ok. We are just taking things one day at a time.

Idk if your cat is still alive but have you heard of Essiac tea? It's from Canada...and since no one has a cure you might want to try it it; it comes in capsules. You'd have to put smaller capsules I imagine or sprinkle on the cat food or use one of those feline greenie things and put in center of that but you don't have anything to lose and I think it's 16 bucks for a package. You might want to look into it.

My toy poodle had "shark teeth", so when we had her spayed, (desexed), I asked the vet to pull the extras. He pulled ten baby teeth that day. She was as black as this one, 5.5 months old and it was 21 years ago.

my wee one is the product of a puppy mill. She still has a few baby teeth at 6 yrs old because there were no adult teeth to come in to replace them. She also has elevated pressure in one eye (forerunner to glaucoma) and suffers from dry eye in the other, which means she'll go blind eventually. She's my little genetic freak, but I still love her dearly! Not a mean bone in her body. She's Shih-tzu X Poodle but I swear there's a Jack Russell hiding under that fluff somewhere! Which is very evident during our nightly wrestling matches on the couch! I've met a lot of vets in my life but I've never come across one like Scott! I'd give my eye teeth to move to England and add myself and my pets to his client list!

Hi guys... watching this reminded me of one of our old dogs, a rescue GSD that could barely walk he was so overweight, his tummy almost touched the ground! Anyway, we got a lot of weight off him and he was such a lovely obedient friendly dog, everybody loved him but he was a maniac for chewing on stuff. I bought him one of those solid rubber balls thinking he'd never get through it, which he didn't so he just swallowed it instead!! We didn't know until we couldn't find the ball and he couldn't 'go to the loo'. Took him to our vet and sure enough there it was in his stomach, a few hundred quid later and we had both the ball and the dog back home!! Complete nightmare, he used to chew on housebricks!!! haha

Random anomalies will always happen, even in humans and wild animals; that's not like brachycephalic dogs which usually have issues. Breeding is just fine if done responsibly.
It's easy to tell people to adopt, but a lot of the time, there aren't any animals like the one you want available where I am. There are maybe a dozen medium- to large young dogs (and two dozen senior-ish dogs) available in pounds, TOTAL. So even just "medium to large dog" limits your options to three dozen.

Does Scott make my day? Yes, he does. Did you once think of medical school? Becoming a veterinarian is heart-stopping. Not just the knowledges, the skills, and keeping up with new medicines and technologies, it's the ability to connect with owners and rescue people. I spent almost 35 years in medicine/health care, patient's can only dream of the patient/owner skills the vets I see have. I learn from every video.

The other day they blurred a needle that hadn’t even been used yet.
I don’t think that was the show.

Some vets do non-anesthetic dentals for dogs who are not good candidates for an anesthetic dental. It's basically the same thing a human dental hygienist does.

cellogirl11RW For a procedure as large as this, the removal of an entire set of teeth, would be too large to complete without anaesthesia 😔 wouldn’t be an option in this case

One of my Labradors passed a ball about the same size. I did not know he swallowed it until I saw it in the poop. I had 3 Labs and dozens of balls around the house and yard. After that I collected them all and doled them out 1:at a time.

Had a cat who was probably the result of inbreeding, as she looked like she could of been a rarer breed. A little off in the head and really off heart, so many meds. I personally would of let her go at 5 years old, but I was away from home and my mom didn't want to do that, despite my say in her being my cat. (Couldn't take with, half the country or so away from them and just getting started as a young adult) I did at least get to see her one last time for a goodbye, as they finally let her go after I had an Xmas visit several years later.

I am glad he is very thorough. So it was sad news but it could’ve been far worse than this cat has another a few years hopefully. Most vets want to get the animal put down so they don’t have to deal with it again.

My chihuahua, Dainty, had shark teeth like this! No baby teeth fell out for weeks. About the time I was going to take her to the vet, the teeth started falling out, finally. I got lots of cute/scary pictures but then my computer melted! Actually had smoke and melted mother board and I lost all of her shark teeth pictures.

There’s a high rate of cancer in dogs in the US. There is so much pollution in yards from the search for the perfect lawn…most of the products contain carcinogens…especially the older ones . They don’t just go away.

I miss him, but not the fleas he left us. and this was the night I came back home coming from my mom's so I could hang out with my dad and brothers which was June. I'm tired of everything I love disappear, and the electronics I touch literally just break in my hands...
