I concentrate and also my camera has built in stabilizer. My old videos I used the TH-cam Editor stabilizer but it made the poles bend and look weird. The key is to use a selfie stick and concentrate on creating a picture like making a painting.

Agree, love to see some evidence of what was. Too often, cities or counties manage the trails, and they want to gobble every penny of scrap value rather than value the historical nature of things.
Power provided by 126.8 L two stroke V12 roots blower driven 1502hp. That's how it pulled all those cars by itself. Manufactured from 74-83 there's also a MP15AC version

2 old Soo Line hoppers, and one still looks halfway decent and isn't tagged real bad with graffiti either. They're not as common as they once were on CP lines anymore. Thanks for the video.
Fun to see. I earned my way through college working for the Soo Line as a switchman/brakeman back in the early 70's, in Chippewa Falls WI. My dad worked in the roundhouse there.
You always find the greatest spots to video your trains. It makes them even more fun to watch. And yes! That truck was close. Bet the driver needed a change in shorts.
That switcher has some power pulling that string of loaded grain cars. That was a fairly good sized cut of cars that like at least 10 or 12 fully loaded with corn possibly going to a distillery manufacturing ethanol or a branded whiskey who know. I know one thing those didn't like being pulled up that grade they screamed in protest the whole time. That is probably why they put the switcher on the rear of the train. I would imagine the switcher gives it extra push over grades on the road, is a DPU in a sense that it distributes power especially with the rear of the train is loaded down with grain. Great video by the way!

That six axle unit started out as an SDP-45 for Erie Lackawanna. It was involved in a wreck that destroyed the long hood. It was rebuilt with the hood of an SD45-2.
Thank goodness for all the short line railroads that keep the old lines in operation. Otherwise most would be tore up or abandoned altogether. Love it even more when an old line is reactivated after sometimes years of no trains. That grain spur sure is noisy Jaw Tooth!

That MP15 is the best workhorse the CCET have got ! Best horn too It sure earns its keep every day -despite the rugged looks and no huge plumes of black smoke ! He came back and immediately started cussing at me on the radio and calling me names. He never said why. This same guy use to give me locomotive rides, let me start a GP49 inside of Huhtamaki, he would ask not to post certain things and he let me film from where ever I wanted to. I asked one of the other guys why he was mad at me all of a sudden but the other guy said he didn't know. But now a second guy who works with the angry guy is now against me also. He use to be cool also so I don't know what happened. He mooned me and flipped me off. Just think of the video that I could put together with all of that!! Lol
Jaw Tooth - I worked for a large contracting company that did rail work. Most railroaders are bitchie unless they’re on break, 😂 Retired now, went back to the river but I like watching your videos 👍👍 Thanks
That truck close to the tracks reminded me of delivering to a place on Section Rd on the Reading line IORY. you had to get your bumper right on the rail to get in the dock. And I was in a short daycab and 48 ft van. Fun stuff JT.
Hey JT - Mom grew up around there and lived in Russellville until her passing a few years back. You can still see the old grade for Interurban and Car Barn there on 62. I think the line terminated just past the funeral home.
Guess that guy in the semi really DID freak out when that train approached. Lol. He had to steer left when the train started to pass him so as not to get the right side of his truck scraped.
Jaw Tooth I am glad to see that this co op is prospering. Many have closed over the years. I grew up in Delaware county, Ohio, and there were two big silo operations there. I worked at one of them during the summer while in high school I the 70’s. But they didn’t have a big spur line like yours there. They were short sidings right off the N+W A line. We loaded grainers and box cars.( in sacks). We would be loading a boxcar and you would have a 3 loco freight going by at 60 mph 8 feet away. Good times.Sad to say that both of the grainerys are gone now.

Hey Brian. Trucker probably had made deliveries near the tracks before and never saw a train come through. He knows now that the line is an active one even if only rarely. He won't make that mistake again. Lessons learned. 👍✌
That train was quite till the flat wheel was heard.... I use to work at a place where we fixed freight ,passenger and locomotives.. They had a small locomotive like that one ..they called it pinky..👍
Wow, that switcher even have MU ability. At beginning, I thought the ex-MRL was SD60. If it's still 20-645, feel it sounds like mix of 16 cyl. 645 and 710.

And combined with your commentary l really enjoyed watching and subscribed, that little shunter loco or you say switcher, we have a similar design loco here in Melbourne & is our smallest EMD unit built by Clyde engineering under licence way back in the 1960’s but was powered by the V6 EMD 567 & 645 versions & l am quite sure the only locomotive to ever be powered by the V6 version anywhere & is known as the Y class and was so versatile was just about used for anything on the Mainline as well as the branch lines and they built about 75 for our Victorian Railways and quite a few still see everyday service here in Australia, it sounds like your switcher has a 900 HP or about V8 EMD power about the equivalent to our T class units, anyway sorry to ramble on, but once again thanks for the interesting film.
@ 2:30 - those folks cut their grass. Your other video where you showed the 'house' featured two foot high weeds/grass. About 16 hoppers taken out. One old unmarked Soo Line in and one old graffiti laden Soo Line car out.
That"little"engine has a 800 hp.8 cylinder 2-cycle diesel engine in it. I've seen these SW-8's and SW-1500's pull as many as 30 cars by itself without issue.
IIRC, most of the little engines I worked on as a Soo Line switchman in the early 70's were SW-1's, based on photos I've been reviewing on the Google machine. They were definitely smaller than the one in this video. I don't remember thirty cars being an issue, and we shoved around a lot of heavy loads, mainly steel that a local manufacturer turned into 105mm shells for the Viet Nam war.
One saw some army tanks that "stayed too long" on flat cars in an urban environment......Came away with the puffy lettering down the sides....guess that was the new "Urban War Fare Camouflage Pattern"
Hi JT! It's me again! I found it very interesting that the MP-15 engine had an A/C unit on top of the cab but the SD-40-2 didn't! It's also the first time I've seen an A/C on a switch engine! I bet they use the MP-15 as a lead engine as much as possible during the warm and hot (plus humid as I guess it does up where you're at?) weather! As usual, GREAT video action! 🇺🇸🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🇺🇸

I also like the old code line with the glass insulators. It is still in good shape except for the missing wires there were stolen.

And combined with your commentary l really enjoyed watching and subscribed, that little shunter loco or you say switcher, we have a similar design loco here in Melbourne & is our smallest EMD unit built by Clyde engineering under licence way back in the 1960’s but was powered by the V6 EMD 567 & 645 versions & l am quite sure the only locomotive to ever be powered by the V6 version anywhere & is known as the Y class and was so versatile was just about used for anything on the Mainline as well as the branch lines and they built about 75 for our Victorian Railways and quite a few still see everyday service here in Australia, it sounds like your switcher has a 900 HP or about V8 EMD power about the equivalent to our T class units, anyway sorry to ramble on, but once again thanks for the interesting film.

@ 2:30 - those folks cut their grass. Your other video where you showed the 'house' featured two foot high weeds/grass. About 16 hoppers taken out. One old unmarked Soo Line in and one old graffiti laden Soo Line car out.

That"little"engine has a 800 hp.8 cylinder 2-cycle diesel engine in it.
I've seen these SW-8's and SW-1500's pull as many as 30 cars by itself without issue.
IIRC, most of the little engines I worked on as a Soo Line switchman in the early 70's were SW-1's, based on photos I've been reviewing on the Google machine. They were definitely smaller than the one in this video. I don't remember thirty cars being an issue, and we shoved around a lot of heavy loads, mainly steel that a local manufacturer turned into 105mm shells for the Viet Nam war.
One saw some army tanks that "stayed too long" on flat cars in an urban environment......Came away with the puffy lettering down the sides....guess that was the new "Urban War Fare Camouflage Pattern"

It's me again! I found it very interesting that the MP-15 engine had an A/C unit on top of the cab but the SD-40-2 didn't! It's also the first time I've seen an A/C on a switch engine! I bet they use the MP-15 as a lead engine as much as possible during the warm and hot (plus humid as I guess it does up where you're at?) weather! As usual, GREAT video action!
