    Badlands all the way. I've managed to damage one of the Masher X tires. It tore up after like a month of use. After about a year using the proline trenchers, they also started to rip. So now I have to go get the tires that I should have gotten in the first place. The badlands Mx 43s!

      Badlands are an awesome tyre

      So both the MX57 and the Mashers gave up on you? Torn sidewalls? I've definitely heard much praise for the MX43's but won't they require hex extensions since they're only 4.3 inch wheels? I'm on the hunt for new tires for my X after having been let down by both TRX and Arrma's cheap open cell foams gave up. Perfect condition "flat" tires..cheap basturds.

    My Xmaxx and XRT do that thing where you do not get full steering unless the TSM is turned all the way down. Haven't figured it out yet.

      Our Maxx does that sometimes. Our solution is to reset the TSM by holding the button on the receiver down when turning on the ESC - this switches the TSM completely off (green light flashes). We then switch it off, and then on again with the button pressed to switch the TSM back on (steady green light). After that, it usually works properly again.

    Backflip 8s are lighter then the mx57 and I find they allow the car to turn in and rotate better. I’ve done a back to back comparison and this is just my opinion. Definitely worth a try though for your style of racing

      Thanks for the info - tyres make such a difference!!

    Since the Badlands are cheaper, lighter and have more grip they seem to be the best option. 👍🏼

      The mashers are actually lighter in about 100grams per tire

    • @TeamRC3D
      @TeamRC3D  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No - the MX57 Badlands (on the 5.7" wheels) are lighter than the Mashers - as they don't have belting inside the tyre. Perhaps you got the weight for the MX43 Badlands mixed up? Those are heavier due to the bead lock wheels.

    None. All of them are heavier than stock, and that only means more rotating mass, more breakage down the line, more stress to the electronics and transmission and less reliability… When proline releases a tire as light as the stock one (or traxxas puts acceptable foam in the stock ones) we’ll get a perfect alternative, in the mean time is just compromising the durability and maintenance of the truck.
    Good vid as usual.

      The Badlands are about 100g per wheel / tyre heavier than the stock tyres. The Mashers are another 100g or so more. Either way we feel this is easily handled by the stock electrics and gears, as we have had no problems. Our favourite is the Badlands, as the stiffer tyres don't balloon at all, and are far more responsive when turning. In our view they completely transform the truck!

      Oh geez, you are right my bad, like you mentioned in another comment I got the older beadlock ones. These mx57 are actually identical weight as the Sledgehammers traxxas sells

      So are the badlands mx57’s heavier than stock?

    • @sebasjon33
      @sebasjon33 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@willeymunda Stock X-Maxx unbelted tires are about 630 grams. MX57s are about 680 grams (the ones tested in this video on the green truck)
