    I was lucky enough to fly Qantas A380 Sydney-Singapore business class, grew the confidence to kindly see the cockpit, and theg allowed me, was absolutely incredible, I have to save again, but I cant wait for another opportunity!

    So interesting. It's good to see Qantas using a better seat in Business for their A380 King of the Skies - such a wonderful aircraft. When I've flown with this airline, the crew's unique, relaxed professionalism enhances the experience. Thanks for sharing. Hello from London : - )

    On a long flight, the really good use for the unused lounge would be for some stretching exercises. I also want to grab those Qantas pajamas as a souvenir!

    Great review, many thanks. I recently lucked out on a BC flight from SYD-PER on a Qantas 787 & the seat, cabin, crew, food & service were beyond amazing. The seat is the best BC seat I've flown & changed my attitude towards QF which wasn't favourable. I flew back to AKL in BC on Air NZ 787 & their product is hideous in comparison. I feel for those going from AKL-JFK in BC, I'd have claustrophobic seizures! No wonder they're changing it to replicate the QF model. Again, great review.

    Fair enough comments; my/ our experience with the new business class seat is that it is on par with the Qatar Suite, although missing a door. The new lounge on the upper deck is still a bit like a dentists' waiting room. Upon reflection, the space might have been better used to bring relief to passengers to create a couple of decent sized toilets.

    Thank you for sharing your trip review. Being able to go to the membership lounges is nice before and after flights are nice. Flying in Business Class is very nice on the long-haul flights when flyers can.

    Aussies love to hate on Qantas, but I find the airline great, even in economy on trans-Tasmanian routes to NZ.

    Thank goodness I wasn’t your companion on this wonderful journey. I would have simply stayed in the Qantas lounge working my way through the ‘Gin Bar.’ Great video. Definitely subscribed. 👍

    Thank you for a very well presented review. Qantas regards the first meal as supper, assuming most passengers have eaten in the lounge. This explains the lack of an entrée. It’s the same on the late night LAX departures.

    Great video and I will be on QF1 shortly. The crew is Qantas biggest asset. As for Joyce I have little to say about a little man. In the past my wife and I was lucky to travel QF1 first class on a points upgrade from business. Of course the service by the crew was first and I felt privileged and pampered. Whilst departing my wife heard a Gloria Glam passenger say “ it’s not a touch on Emirates First” in earshot of the dedicated crew members. Luckily for glam pants I didn’t hear her .

    I can not accept that a drinks trolley isn’t a first priority. Even economy on Thai had a drinks service about 20 minutes after take off.

      Usually they do a drinks service right after take-off but also depends what time if departure is around dinner time they would usually go straight to supper service with drinks.

    Not bad at all for a western airline. The beef steak looked really good! I would have loved some Asian choice though, so Singapore Airlines seems to be the better choice albeit more expensive

    Definitely huge upgrade of the seat vs the previous one. It was already outdated from the start. Food seemed a bit skimpy and no pre meal was weird.

    I thoroughly enjoy the new BC offered by Qantas on their A380's. As someone who had flown on their previous BC I was disappointed with the lack of privacy, modernness, and the 2 2 2 configuration they had. Having a 1-2-1 is much more effective and you don't have to worry about walking over someone you don't know because you want a window seat. I do feel they could go a bit further with everything but I am for happier with this layout than the previous one.

    I ageee with you Jonny The fast track is always messing around with the staff and also queues at Heathrow its something i believe all airlines has to raise to BAA every time i go through fast track i give my feedback to BAA managers and airlines managers too.

    Another superb video with your usual eloquent voice over…as for the Business Class Lounge in the Upper Deck of the A380, with all that dark work panelling and no windows, does it give a “depressing” feel in real life? Maybe that’s another reason it stays empty/hardly used? From watching, it gives that impression🤷🏻‍♂️

    Having just flown around the world with Qantas and BA, on QF1, QF4 and the BA transatlantic 777, the new BA business class seat leaves the Qantas product for dead. No bad seats on BA, and the food and service was surprisingly good. Qantas run an offering that is very expensive but they fail to deliver value for money. Cheap toiletries bag, the food is getting tired and they need to move Neil Perry on and freshen up the whole culinary experience. The Qantas cabin crew are Allan Joyce’s biggest asset, even though he screws them over on the pay and conditions, and Joyce does really disingenuous stuff like using UK cabin crew for QF1/2 and New Zealand cabin crew for QF3/4. So much for being an Australian airline, when Qantas are employing foreign nationals to work on Australian registered aircraft while all the time preaching how socially responsible Qantas is.

    I've flown Qantas business a few times but Singapore beat them hands down. Great reporting and video - really appreciate your work however I'll continue to fly Singapore as they're superior to Qantas in every way.

    My only quibble is the v/o. A nice voice, but so many strangely emphasised words. Trek Trendy has developed the same problem, which he didn't have when he spoke direct to camera. At least you don't say Hey guys, what's up?

    The lounge looks better than Sydney's business which is home of Qantas so imagine what mess is in sydney. personally, having experienced both their business and economy products, I would never fly with qantas again.

    The 'lounge area' is just a wasted space. Qantas should of thought about utilising it for private first class suites or something similar.

What I will say, is that the hypocrisy of the Islamic state based carriers knows no bounds given that their religion is against alcohol but they are more than happy to try and fleece revenue from wealthy westerners by enticing them with bars on their A380s.

    What a shame they didn't go for a door. That extra privacy gave me the best sleep I've ever had on an aeroplane with Iberia's A350 (with, incidentally, far healthier food than this bread based nightmare).

      I agree, it would have been lovely to see stemmed glassware. That said, Riedel does do stemless wine glasses too, so it's perhaps more a question of personal taste now.

    for me a380 was only plane built with passengers in mind, even the new 787, 777 etc are just cramped tubes even in business and first

    Having flown with Emirates and Qantas, I'd recommend Emirates - its business class is far superior.

    so many teammates in trios just drop solo into a place where there’s already teams that have players in them
    i wonder y they’d think they can fight 3 or more players by themselves then they start blaming u 😂
    even when on ground, some teammates leave me or 1 of the teammates wander off w/out pinging & get surrounded by another team or teams
    also some teammates attack a full 3 player team thinking they can beat them all while wearing lvl 1 white armor against 3 players w/ level 2 blue armor or lvl 3 purple armor & so on

    I have flowen many times on QF Business class & the seating I found was comfortable.
    The crew were for the most part wonderful but this is were it stops.
    The food offered is a joke
    The Neil Parry salad should be called the Neil Pathetic salad
    The salad is just leaves which are usually dry and lifeless with a dressing
    Moving on the main courses are shoody,small tasteless excuses for food
    So far the one time scollops were on the menu gave me a rather bad stomach upset on the second 6 hour plus flight
    I was not at all impressed
    The mains are tiny and the sweets ah what sweets is icecream that you can not eat as it is frozen
    Neil Perry needs to step aside and have a new enthusastic bunch of chefs take over
    On flights like LHR-SIN I much prefur SQ or CX or TK
    Now the above airlines offer amazing menus and generous portions
    I only use QF if there is no other choice

    The food looks to be nothing to shout about. The starter was cheap and embarrassing, for "Bistro style" read "a mess" and the beef dumped on the carrots left half of the plate empty. They don't activate the tail camera for take-off because they don't want the passengers to watch their final moments instead of paying attention to the important stuff if it all goes to $+&%. They're haunted by QF32. But, hey, it's an A380 - who cares about the food, it's an A380!

    I feel this airline has really slipped. In service, quality of offering and comfort. Pretty much you take pot luck now. The Qantas lounge I can describe as a dump. Seats have springs gone, are filthy dirty and the food choice is poor. This airline has really gone backward in 2022. wont fly them in 2023.

    That Business Class MENU is APPALLING! I could get a far better and classier meal at the Salvation Army. Thank heavens I gave flying with QUAINTARSE 10 years ago. The little Irish Fairy took away 274,000 of my Frequent flyer Points back in 2007, without any explanation. I'll Fly BA any day. Their staff are courteous and professional.

    You run rings around the crappy product air nz has , good on you . As a kiwi we have given up and don't get me started on the rubbish safety video .

    Be educated- 50%of meals are attached to chillers .._ never assume….their priority is emergency procedures

    Femininet men serving really annoys me. Depressing grey interior , hardly inspiring. Food looked nice but again not inspired.Ill stick with Singapore Airlines.

    What a mediocre product. Small set. Tiny screen with a HUGE frame ? Gosh. Is this 2023 or 2003 ? Qantas is really going backwards.

    Beware which plane you book in case you get old 2 seats by the window. Pretty awful menu if you ask me, nothing cold or of this century. I went away from Qantas pre covid as Etihad, Emirates and Singapore are so much better and Etihad has had the 1:2:1 for years.

    Qantas is a hit or miss airline. Great crew great flight. Mediocre crew then expect dissatisfaction. I prefer Singapore Airlines any day.

    Still think this is a pretty average product for the price. Singapore Airlines are far more appealing on this route.
