Sis, I like to soak mine in vinegar water after cleaning (30 min), then parboil until the brown/black stuff comes to the stop, rinse, then season and boil until tender, then bbq then up in the oven they go. but, yours look good.
@@OhSoLoring9113 Great, try it, the vinegar cuts the fat, tenderizes it and kills the swine/porky taste, and won't give you a headache either. Peace and Love to Ya.
I love pork neck bones, old white country boy here, always looking for different ways to eat me some pork neck bone. These look amazing. Good pot of greens ,beans and some cornbread, cant beat good ole comfort food.
You can cook your neck bones with greens and Cubed turnips. I have a little apple cider vinegar because I like it with my greens but it is a very nice meal all in one pot. :-)
As a kid, I ate lots and lots of neckbones - in all kinds of beans, greens and in Spanish rice. I've never had barbequed neckbones until today. My daughter picked up a large package of them on sale at Kroger for $6.07. She'd cooked a pack for the first time a couple of weeks ago and they turned out pleasant but not "homey." I have never cooked neckbones as an adult so when she said: "Mom, I know you would want to do them your way," I didn't have any of the items my Mom, Aunts and Foster Mom used way back in the day, so I headed for TH-cam. Lucky us!!! I followed your directions almost to a tee. The only thing different was the bbq sauce. I can't thank you enough. The bones turned out excellently and we can't wait for the next time. I made some doctored up Kraft M&C and some doctored up broccoli florets IAdobo and pepper on each) and as my dearly departed former MIL would say: "I swanee" that was one of the very best meals ever! Well worth the time to cut off all the fat and other stuff. There's nothing left on my plate but smooth bones. I'm stuffed!!!! THANKS again so much!!!!!
Excellent! Never cooked pork neck bones and my husband was wanting ribs. Ribs were expensive so I tried this and we love them. Thanks so much and blessings back to you!
Wow .. gona try this! Such easy preparation!.. Don’t have to get into adding a thousand different seasonings & all of this cut up onion, garlic, celery etc! .. I love it!. U find out that some ppl just get soooo extra in their ingredients once u compare what they add, to what other ppl in their videos add.. and it just turns me completely off!. Thanks again for this clip!! ☺️.
Yay!!! Thank You for making this video. I loved My Mom's BBQ neck bones, but I never cooked them before today. My Mom made her transition in 2001, so I couldn't ask her how to make them. I am so glad you're here to step into the gap ❤🙏🏽❤
Thank you I’ve never cooked neck bones before and my husband is sleep so he can’t guide me right now 😂 your video helped a lot i know how to cook i just needed an idea where to start with them.. thank you i am subscribed!

I have never had pork neck bones, but my 100 yr old neighbor man was given some by his grandson, but I had to look up how to cook them for him 😊 Decided to buy a package of them to try out 😊
Yes this is EXACTLY how I do mine except I put mine in the smoker or on the grill instead of the oven. But I am going to put them in the oven next time. There is nothing like them. GREAT video!!!
Awesome I did not get to use my neck bones for the pho broth (Vietnamese soup) I was planning, so it's a good thing I came across other recipes. See oxtail meat is expensive as hell so I thougth I'd imporvise with neck bones instead.
I like the way you did that, why do mines like that one time I had a small pack of neck bones and a small pack of country ribs and you know what I did with him don't you that's right put them together and work it out baby girl I am at little green peppers and some onions on my workout good. Keep on doing what you doing boo don't you dare stop.
I haven't had neckbones in years!! These turned out great. And I wash all my meats the same way.....they do it that way at restaurants as well..Hell sometimes the restaurants don't rinse off their meats, but & however, everybody LIVES💕💕
This looks good finger lickin' good. I need to fix this soon with some greens and granny's corn bread. I've only used neck bones (smoked) when fixing a pot of beans until last night. The meal went over well with my little ones and my husband. So now I've got to try this one. Thank you for sharing
They look good. I also take a knife and get the bloody gell out and let them soak a a few minutes. Then, I have to skim the foam off when boiling. Yes, a tedious process but worth it.
We raise and butcher our own pork. Im always looking for ways to use more of the carcass. The neck bones look delicious. I think I'll try your recipe, except after cleaning and boiling the bones I might smoke them in my smoker for an hour.
My Aunt would make BBQ Pig Feet, and let me tell you they would be the first thing to leave the table. I'd be the first one to eat them. I don't eat them any more, not because I feel some kind of way it's just she has passed on and I don't cook them. Love the recipe.
What are you cleaning? You seem to duplicate work by rinsing and not putting them in a colander. Looks good, however you boil the flavor of the meat away.
MissChocolateLife 2017 no thank you for sharing...my mom used to prepare my family bbq neckbones....brought back sweet memories...thanks again and keep em coming
You don't have to boil them. Once cleaned. Season with garlic powder salt&pepper. Lil seasoning salt. Sprinkle with Wortershire sauce and liquid hickory smoke. Place in baking pan. Cover with foil punch holes in foil place in oven baked til tender cover in your favorite bar b q sauce leave foil off place back in oven til sauce begin to stick to neckbones ..should take about 2 hrs .on 350 oven
