I’m amazed at how much you accomplish and still have time to respond to so many comments! I’ve been trying to get support for a co-op idea that would mass produce and semi automate making successful capitalist entrepreneurs out of all members using velocity of money and ‘kicking the can’, of externalities and profits, down the road to be paid for by manipulating the currency creator into covering the costs. It’s using capitalism to more equitably distribute the benefits accrued to a technologically advanced society from a grassroots movement instead of just trying to rally people to our side we would make it more profitable for them to join us (and also to Go Green) than it would be to not join us. I thought perhaps we could crowd fund experts in the appropriate fields, accountants, attorneys, investment managers, salesmen, etc. and provide a service of setting members up in an LLC (or maybe multiple LLCs?) and use money making strategies that the people that sell programs teaching others how to make money use, I’m sure some of these methods work for some people but my belief is that most of us don’t have the skills to succeed at these methods. So if we have a group of experts that automates the steps needed and basically does the work for them we could make everyone successful. I would like to network with people that are passionate about making real change and who have skills in areas I lack. I lead a very secluded life as I’m retired and don’t have much interaction with others. I’ve been trying to reach out to people that have similar interests but the ones that are go getters are busy concentrating on their own approaches and the ones that pay attention to my proposals are not go getters. 🤷🏻♀️ I just don’t know where to get real help with this idea?
I know it's been three months, but this is what I listen to anytime i need to get shit done. There's something masterful about how you illustrate your points. Whether it be the proper context or sequence of ideas, the discussion never gets sidetracked. Anthony, your video on unlocking insane focus on command was a game-changer for me! The 10 Commandments of HyperFocus you shared are incredibly insightful and practical. I appreciate how you broke down each principle and provided actionable steps to implement them. Your emphasis on measuring and managing focus, along with strategies to improve energy, prioritize tasks, and optimize the environment, is truly valuable. This video has given me a fresh perspective on productivity and focus, and I'm excited to incorporate these strategies into my daily routine. Thank you for sharing your wisdom and expertise!
I wake up at 6am. I decided to change it to 5am. That hour changed everything. I was having writers block. Waking up at 5 is too early for me. I am too tired to think. I would start to write in this state & since I’m too tired to think all the ideas & inspiration just flows naturally. I get more work done in that hour than half a day of writing.
As a new/recent ADHDer, this was awesome. I was expecting the usual theoretical gobbledygook that makes me feel good and encourages me to change nothing. This video was neither amateur hour nor overly produced vagueness. Instead, actual practical tips to implement immediately. Well done.

For the fellow ADHDer's The 10 Commandments of Hyper Focus (Powerful takeaways, "That which gets measured, gets managed", "Do, Delay, Delegate, Delete," and "Focus is the most valuable asset, not time.") 1. Focus is your most valuable asset, not time. Measure and manage your FOCUS. 00:47 2. Conduct a focus audit to understand where you're leaking attention. 1:48 3. Set clear priorities - use Eisenhower Matrix or similar system. 5:44 6. Never set a goal without a ***System***. Use "implementation intentions." 8:05 7. Guard your intention - use random alarms asking, "What's my outcome?" 9:09 8. Lift mental weights daily through journaling, meditating, and reflecting. 10:40 9. Optimize your environment - reduce audio, visual, and vibe distractions. 11:43 10. Execute a focus ritual before deep work - tidy desk, timer, candle, music. 14:52 In summary, audit where you leak focus and set systems to maintain energy, close loops, set priorities, guard intention, lift mental weights, optimize the environment, and ritualize focus. Psyched you found the channel, Nikki! If you haven't already, I'd check out the From $80k to Millionaire in 3 Years video because that really unpacks a lot of my story which I think is helpful for understanding the rest of the videos.
I just prayed that Jesus would heal my mind and teach me how to be more focused. Your video was an immediate answer to my prayer. Thank you so much for sharing this wisdom!
Awesome video. Thank you for the tip, constantly reminding myself that I have ADHD isn't helping me lol. Question: how many times a day do you set the alarm with 'what's your outcome?'
I used to set the alarm 4 times per day. These days I don't actually use the alarm anymore because it's just ingrained in how I think about everything I do.
How come some ppl don’t believe you ? Some seem to think you’re straight lying; while some believe the value you are given….Me ? I believe it, learning, and applying.
It's cognitively easier to simply be a pessimist and assume everybody is out to get you. You'll notice, however, that no pessimist has ever made a meaningful impact on the world. Their worldview is small, and so is their impact. Not a great way to live in my book.
Regarding the scientific evidence for your pen staring excise, Andrew Huberman has something called “space-time bridging” which he talks about from time to time on his podcast - not exactly the same technique but I would say there’s a strong parallel so that’s scientific enough for me!! 😂
I just found out that pay more attention on what he is saying without looking at screen. Or it's bc i'm crocheting while listening to the video. Or maybe is just bc he speaks clearly and has that type that you could spend the hole day hearing it. I don't know
White noise? Brown noise is better. Deep, smooth brown noise. And yeah, they got the pomodoro technique wrong. Do 3 pomos, then a longer break, not 4. That way you work for about 90 minutes and then break for 20, which is how the body’s natural rhythms work, 90 minutes of energy, followed by a 20 minute lull. I’m working on increasing how many sets of those I can do in one day. I did 5 yesterday, which is better than normal, and then crashed today. Going to try getting to bed earlier and make sure to eat some healthy meat.I think maybe the crash was from sleeping at the wrong time, I think my early nighttime sleep is when I gets the most out of my sleep. Also I probably didn’t get enough healthy fats the day I did 5 sets. Maybe should start taking Omega 3 supplements as well…Probably need to start tracking my macros.
@@AnthonyVicino Not sure why I'm sharing this, other than it's an update on what I said before. Probably the reason I crashed on Sunday had nothing to do with what time I slept or the kind of fats in my diet like I speculated before. Now I think it was because of the Alpha Brain Black Label that I took for 2 or 3 days in a row. I think it was because of the Huperzine A that is in it. It has 220 mcg of Huperzine A per serving. It is some pretty powerful stuff that, according to some sources, stays in your system for more than 24 hours. So I probably was having a buildup of and also without being that used to it since I hadn't been taking it regularly recently. However, interestingly, while it can contribute to sleep issues, they say it can also contribute to REM sleep.
Have you read all those books behind you? Not being a jerk, would like to know. Great vid, took notes. Also, I'd say labor/production at work is more important than one's presence. Some people may as well be asleep.
I've read all the books directly behind me. The bookshelf on the far left wall (over my right shoulder) is my to be read shelf. Half of those are unread.
When I lived as a Buddhist Monk I almost took for granted how easy it was to focus on meditation since our entire life and suroundings were made to make it easy to do so. It's dificult to replicate this in daily life but there definetely are aspects that you can and this list was def, usefull for this :)
@@AnthonyVicino There are both good and bad things when it comes to living as a monk. But trying it out for a shorter period would definetely benifit anyone. If you ever do want to do it, send me a message and I'll share some thoughts about advantages dissadvantages of doing it in different traditions and the best way to go about it.
Interesting experience! I am not a monk but I was living in a meditative state constantly about few years, in old flat in block, with cars near my windows, in noise etc. so.. yes. It could be possible. Now I want to return & also organize my life in new way. Thank you both, and.. we can practice out mastery 😉!
Once you achieve discipline and focus it is so dangerous but in a good way. I have always been a disciplined and focused guy, although the last few months I have been knocked off my rail due to certain things. However, I am back on track and its good.
Anthony, thanks for the video. Brother I am struggling with my mind. My mind is fckd as I have no control over it. I can't control myself i just go with the Flow, hanging out, isolation, no routine. Moreover I am broke too. No money and I know about my current situation as well but I don't want to work on it. I wander all around the goals like I started to do something and make some progress but then moved to another thing which makes it exciting and my brain focuses on that thing rather than the one previous goal I have been working on. Moreover I think masturbations fucked up my brain too. Can't overcome this filthy habit. What should i do man.?
I feel that, brother. The struggle is real. Step one is figuring out how to change the internal dialogue you have about yourself. Saying things like "My mind is fcked and I have no control over it" is going to keep you in a negative loop because deep inside you BELIEVE you can't change. I wrote a bit about this in a previous newsletter. You might find this helpful: anthonyvicino.com/bad-habits/
Hey Anthony, thank you so much for sharing this. I'm really struggling with working at home and this is just so practical and useful. I really like how you take advantage of your every sense, prior to working.
I started to pay way more attention to my mental health and my body in the last year, and realized that when things get rough, like exam period, I usually turned away my attention from exercising, diet and sleep and mental issues completely, to compensate my procrastination and focus on the task. In the last 2 semester, I was like "idgaf, I am hungry so I will eat instead of that half hour study it takes away and I will surely do at least 1-2 training this week.". Not much a surprise but I did my exams and everything way better than in the previous years of my life.😅
@@AnthonyVicino thank you!! And thank you for all the great videos you've spent so much time and effort on, really are one of a kind. THANK YOU!! Much Love ❤️
Semantics, time is the only resource that matters. How we use our time determines our efficiency. Efficiently using time is the key to success. Focus is meaningless if you have no direction or end goal.
I have tried some of the items on the list before, others I still practice daily. But this one you put together in the video, is one of the best stay focus lists I have heard, because it includes items I haven't heard others mention when it comes to focus/producitivity. Today, I already went out and bought the nasal inhaler mentioned in the video, and I like it. I am surprised, I never heard of this brand inhaler before, I have seen most of the Shark Tank episodes (the company founders did appear on Shark Tank a few years ago). I guess they only advertise on Facebook, a platform I never use.

@@AnthonyVicino I agree with you. Having a closed mind is a killer.
Excellent

Regarding the scientific evidence for your pen staring excise, Andrew Huberman has something called “space-time bridging” which he talks about from time to time on his podcast - not exactly the same technique but I would say there’s a strong parallel so that’s scientific enough for me!! 😂

I just found out that pay more attention on what he is saying without looking at screen. Or it's bc i'm crocheting while listening to the video. Or maybe is just bc he speaks clearly and has that type that you could spend the hole day hearing it. I don't know
Ha, that's awesome. Sometimes clearing away the visual clutter can be a real help.
second brain soounds so cool.... but we used to call it a dayrunner or day planner. which works better but with out the "hack " vibe
Hm.. Interesting. I have a Day Planner, but don't use it as my dedicated second brain as it would get too cluttered and difficult to filter.
I dig it. Thanks for sharing.
Man, sometimes I think going away and living with the monks for a few months would be an amazing reset.
@@MartinKPettersson Hi Martin, can i message you? i have a few questions and hopefully get some advice from you on that subject.
@@malunachow Interesting experience. When you say "meditative state" what is it that you mean by that?

Psyched to have you here now, at least! ;)
Once you achieve discipline and focus it is so dangerous but in a good way. I have always been a disciplined and focused guy, although the last few months I have been knocked off my rail due to certain things. However, I am back on track and its good.
Dude, really psyched to hear you're back on track now.
You might find this helpful:

Hey Anthony, thank you so much for sharing this. I'm really struggling with working at home and this is just so practical and useful. I really like how you take advantage of your every sense, prior to working.
Psyched to hear you found it helpful! Working from home is sometimes a real struggle for me as well. I feel that.
Not much a surprise but I did my exams and everything way better than in the previous years of my life.😅
Nice! It's amazing how life improves when we keep focused on the things that actually matter.
By the time I do these 9 steps to get focused I would lose my focus lmfaoooo

Semantics, time is the only resource that matters. How we use our time determines our efficiency. Efficiently using time is the key to success. Focus is meaningless if you have no direction or end goal.
Agree to disagree.
Boom Boom is terribly underrated. Great little tool that's so easy to use.
Hey Anthony. I just read your LinkedIn comment comparing children to boats. Real nice buddy. You should read that back to your mother.
My mother abandoned me before I turned 18.
Try again.
@@AnthonyVicino Before 18! I guess you werent a luxury she was able affored. Well good to hear your views on vans boats and deficating on people who rather work to support a family instead of waiting for their EBT card to replenished.
