    I didn't know anyone else called it 'essentialism'. I've been using that term for a few years for a kind of modified minimalism. Have the things you need, avoid the rest. It's not about having the absolute minimum. It's about having only the things that you actually use and that bring value to your life. Cheers.

    Hey you😲! I'm ashamed to admit that this has been sitting in my watch later forever😖. It's a damn shame because you have addressed pretty much all of my current issues. I want to call this an EPIPHANY but I'm gonna call this a START. You've given me so much to work with. Now I'm gonna roll up my sleeves because your message seems tailor made for me. Many thanks😀 and stay tuned😊!

    I'm 30 pages away from finishing Essentialism. I appreciate your personal takeaways. I'm taking notes and reflecting on mhy own takeaways. Locating the slowest hiker resonated with me most. Before this, I read Bullet Journal Method by Ryder Carroll and Tranquility by Tuesday by Laura Vanderkam. I highly recommend that latter.

    I successfully completed six college courses in 1.5 years by significantly reducing my time at bars/eating out. I kept telling myself that three hours at a bar would be better spent reading books of academic interest. My plan worked beautifully.

    Last month I started journaling again, not as often as I used to but I was doing so just to get back on track on who I am and regaining my identity. I was actually writing out something similar to your last rule for myself, labeled a little differently, but relationships was my fifth heading because I really believe building your community is an essential way of living. Find the people, and keep those people with your, to grow together and be part of each other's lives.

    Anthony, another raw video. Would enjoy a video on LEVERAGE. In addition, interested in your thoughts/a video on imposter syndrome, e.g. dismantling misconceptions about the amount of competition and abundance of money/opportunity for those looking to start a business. Basically like you to cover the mindset of ownership versus the logistics of it, as you've greatly detailed.

      Thanks, I appreciate it! I am very critical in the TH-camrs I follow for productivity advice, because many of them are relatively structured by nature and would never understand the challenges that we face. I was critical of you too when I saw your videos for the first time, because you seem like you have it going on so well (no judgement, people have that perception of me too so I always try to look beyond that first impression). But as soon as you said you have ADHD I was sold and immediately subscribed. You are exactly the type of rolemodel I always search for.
      I only got diagnosed by age 22 (I am a woman, so that explains why), and from that very moment I decided that I would do everything it takes to be part of the minority group that turned it into their superpower instead of their handicap. However, I probably won’t have to explain that it comes with serious struggles from time to time. You have motivated me to get back on track. Currently I am slightly younger then you were in your ‘rock bottom era’ and promised myself that I will become a millionaire within 10 years or less too. Not because of the money, but because I want to explore my full potential, give back and be a role model for other young women and people who struggle with neurodiversity!
      I’ll get back to you when I succeed. In the mean time I will keep on enjoying your videos and apply your advice 😊

    I really love
    Your TH-cam description, I’m 14 years old and eager to learn about real estate. Right
    Now I’m obsessed in learning how to acquire wealth and make my self better/learning from others that are or already doing what I’m trying too. Since I’m 14 I’m in school and I feel as school is just taking time out of my day to learn about what happened 100 years ago and how to solve a2 + b2 = c2 and making kids feel stupid, stressed, and anxious since there so young and vulnerable to others opinions. Why school isn’t teaching us more relevant things and how to do taxes and how to make money etc.. Cramming useless nonsense into peoples head telling them follow there advice-get good grades, don’t take risks, and go to college for 4 years and be in debt for months making 15 dollars+ working to pay that debt off. People I listen to say go to collage if your job you want requires a degree like a doctor etc… I rather finish high school focus on making myself the best as I can be and be financially stable not be in 30 thousand+ in debt. This is my personal opinion feel free to estate your opinion or add

    I like your mental model and the way you priotirize things to be done in your life or on a daily basis. It is also alike the project plans or solution focused coaching versus traditional coaching. The mental model is the paradigm shift which can lead you to succes. It is that mindset-when u break all the barriers than you will realize that you have nothing to hold on.

    I started using ICE and three to free after you talked about those things in another video. I accomplish so much less now, but somehow get more done!...I'm also moving out of my rental and into my car this week, created a spreadsheet for my debt elimination plan, made a plan for honing my skills (especially those that will contribute to my income) and so many other things...It's interesting how my mindset changed only after I started moving forward. I was feeling so discouraged about my finances and I could not get out of the negative mindset that I was in, so I twisted my approach a little bit. I stopped focusing on my mindset and just started making plans, big plans, like a could radically change my life, even though I didn't actually believe that I could. I started packing up my house and just said "this isn't what I want!" Then I paid off my smallest medical bill, and my mindset changed instantly. I started to believe that I really could achieve all of my financial goals and those beliefs led me to connect with people and resources (like this channel) that are helping me to accomplish those goals...I wrote that essay LOL to say, "Thank you so much for your videos, they really inspire me!!"

    This was a very intresting video and honestly the first I have ever seen from you. I have a small and all but minor disagreement. On moving backwards or forwards part. I think that even backwards can be a progressive mode.
    The worst mode is staying still which as time moved forward those that don't move will give the illusion of progressing backwards. When really that haven't taken a single step.
    I had a silly saying when I was younger that paired with the older which is: "one step forward two steps back." Well saying was: "if I'm taking two steps back I will learn to walk backwards."
    So over all I think standing still is the most harmful. From ones life, stagnation is ruin.

    • @AnthonyVicino
      @AnthonyVicino  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agreed 100%. Sometimes we have to retrace our steps cause the path dead-ends in front of us. Going back down the mountain so we can find a new path up isn't necessarily going backwards. Sitting down and going stagnant, as you point out, that is the ultimate failure.

    Whatever you work is, it's a tool to get what you want, not necessarily an end goal in itself. Sure, some work can carry intrinsic value, but always question what it can do for you. This mentality of doing the most for work can cloud questioning of what you really want out of life

    wow loved this video. All of the ideas are something new , I'm so glad that i got this recommendation before sleep. I'm sure I'll utilise some tips in real life.
    I'm also using greyscale mode and dnd and focus mode most of the time. I'm trying to disconnect myself from unnecessary people and not using social media anymore.. but can live without TH-cam as i don't have TV.
    however I'm not finding a solution to study timely and regularly as i do work from home so it's really boring to study more and the same place same pc for more hours. any suggestions or video for that?

    Amazing !! I can really relate to the Mental Model of setting priorities. I am a competitive Exam aspirant and also have my own telegram channel where I put my learnings of the prep journey. But that channel started eating my brain every now and then, So I decided to set priorities so that I don't invest my time in useless stuff.

    My biggest question is, where does God come into the equation? I love what you teach, but for someone like me who wants to follow God's will, how do I do that if I'm only focused on my personal desires? I know you are not a Pastor, but perhaps you've read something about that matter. You explain things better than any other coach I've found. Thank you so much!

    • @AnthonyVicino
      @AnthonyVicino  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Interesting question... So little known fact, one of my degrees is in religion (and I was a youth pastor for a year). My beliefs have since changed, but I understand the struggle of reconciling your personal desires with the notionyou have for gods will.
      For me, Id think of it like this:
      Your purpose on this planet is to become the best version of yourself possible so that you can make as big of a positive impact on the lives of those around you as possible.
      Its from your overflowing cup that you can help others.
      If you can't fill your own cup, then somebody has to fill it for you with bounty that could have gone to somebody else had you developed yourself sufficiently.
      In your abundance you can be a blessing to others in a way you never could while living in want.

    • @bluesash10
      @bluesash10 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AnthonyVicino Thank you so much for answering! I didn't know you had a degree in religion. You make a good point. I've struggled with religion because of poor interpretations, but I believe in God. My resistance is in filling myself before filling others, but you are absolutely right... If I don't produce and give, I'm taking from somebody else. That is wonderful advice! I so appreciate your taking the time to respond to my question. Thank you!!
