      Once I went to Japan to visit my cousins. I was walking to the convenience store close to our home when I saw a man wearing a large jacket with a mask following me, I didn’t mind it very much until I saw that he had a sharp object in his hand. I rushed to the convenience store and quickly went back and tried to lose him a couple of time by running to different locations. I called the police and I told them what happened. They checked the security footage of the store and asked the staff there but they said that they didn’t see the man holding anything. The police told me that maybe he was just walking the same way?? And that I shouldn’t just call them because I was just scared for no reason, because they had more important things to check out. And it was also because I wasn’t a Japanese citizen? (I’m half Japanese though). I was legit too scared to even go out during my whole stay lol.

    • @lutch4379

      @@foolcoooym1425 Wow i'm amazed at the incompetence of the police in Japan, and it's stupid that they didn't take your claim seriously, just because you aren't a japanese citizen. If they are a police force, then they should act like one and actually protect and serve. The way you explained the story makes it seem like the police took the guy as a victim more than you. It's honestly shitty that you had to go through that.

    • @foolcoooym1425
      @foolcoooym1425 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      PecoXD 420 many girls in japan tend to wrongly accuse a man of groping them (even if they didn’t) so that they could get money. So I guess that’s why they thought I was lying, and took the man as the victim.

      @lutch4379 4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      @@foolcoooym1425 i guess you could say that it is like the rape accusation that women do on men in the western world, yes it happens and some accusations are true, but sadly some people are selfish and do a lot of damage to somebody who wasn't even involved in the situtation in the first place, but that's why police and the law exist in the first place, to prove who is the actual victim and who is the actual perpertrator in the case. Sadly people judge quickly and you are guilty until proven innocent, but it should be innocent until proven guilty. Atleast that my take on justice and the law.

  • @idolsrule4678

    Fact: recently there has been policies for idols to censor their backgrounds when taking selfies for protective measures. I hope a lot more idol agencies take these measures for their artists safety. My current dream is to become a Talent Manager to improve the conditions of celebs (High, Medium, and Low) seeing cases like this makes me sad as an Idol fan....these girls sacrifice so much to achieve this career and these asshats want them to sacrifice their freedom and even their life for their sake? That’s madness.
    Note: There’s a darker side to stalking including Tabloids and Scandal magazines who try to get close to idols to the point of actually trying to damage their careers ( Yamaguchi Maho’s case) and the whole NGT48 situation.

    It's a shame how Asian idols are treated like objects, instead of acknowledging them as human beings. I'd wished they were allowed to be in relationships with the people they know and want to be with. Plus, their fans would accept their idols' way of life, just like the fans from the west are okay with the English pops' relationships.

Sadly this sort of obsession happens everywhere, and while these people are quieter with western celebrities, I've seen plenty of backlash and horrible social media comments to actors and singers being married.

      Some accept it and some dont. For example Nijisanji Vtubers are ok having couples from the start while Hololive Vtubers are not allowed because fans made an uproar when they made a male and female collab (they both do the same kind of content). The safest way to approach idol entertainment is join a company that is ok with relationship from the start that way the fan knows what to expect from the beginning.

    Can you do a video on the founder of Japan's top male idol industry, Johnny Kitagawa? His company, Johnny & Associates, are still thriving to this day. Most idol groups under them have longevity and the popular ones are already in their late 30s & even in their 40s. They were responsible for SMAP, Arashi, V6, & more. Johnny himself just passed away last year, but I do want to know more of his past crimes of pedophilia. So many of the boys got debuted in their teenage years (some at the age of 12) and Johnny himself personally picked them. It's kinda scary because most of the claim of pedophilia by some of the boys got silenced due to his power in the entertainment industry. It would be great if the world could know what this guy did.

      In essence Japan is roughly only a few hundred miles larger than California. While that is still a huge landmass, the compact cities and transportation system makes everything around it seems smaller and shorter in comparison to any place in North America. You can take the train and in 3 stops you are in another city/prefecture, unlike LA where the whole Purple Line is just within LA City.

      The big idols out there are Momoiro Clover, Keyakizaka46, AKB48, BABYMETAL, among others. These girls were extra unprotected because they were rather small idols. This is what happens when people sensationalize details without being fans or actually doing more research (note this video's description saying both these girls were "Jpop stars"). Granted, some bigger idols can sometimes be seen in public places just like normal people, but comparing Mayu Tomita and Ena Matsuoka to KeSha (is she even relevant anymore? idk) is kinda out there lol. For example how on Earth was Mayu Tomita's home address public? That's crazy. Most idols are very private, disclosing very little personal information. Also, the approach some Japanese public figures take is different from American celebrities. It's not only about Japan being a small country but also has to do with the fact that most Western celebrities usually travel using private transportation and hire security guards and stuff.

A regular woman was followed home by a strange man and was thankfully able to get inside her apartment before the man was able to follow her in. The rest of that clip shows the man trying the doorknob and attempting several different passcodes on the lock before giving up and leaving.

    I used to be a big J-pop fan but I was shocked by how agencies ban idols from having romantic/sexual relationships... I think it's to fulfill the toxic fans' twisted, selfish fantasy of "hey, if this idol is single, I can get a chance with them!!" which in turn, makes the idol more desirable and therefore more profitable. I remember a female idol had to shave her head to express her shame and remorse after she was caught being with a guy. It's so fucked up to deprive a person of such natural human connections.
