Have you considered the possibility that you don't know the full story? Have you considered the possibility that she might be lying for views? It seems gross, but there are MANY examples of people faking things for attention. If the police don't see a threat, maybe they actually did their due dilligence. And the fact that she refuses to explain the situation further is a huuuuuge red flag.
I could be wrong, though. Maybe there is a stalker and the police don't care. But just consider for a second, that what you're being told isn't true. Maybe there isn't really a stalker and this is just a 'complicated' relationship. She's mad at her ex-boyfriend and has stolen his DVD collection. The reality is you don't know. People are shitty and are liars and the UK police are pretty good. It's not like they're the corrupt Mexican police or the police from China.
All I know is that internet people are gross. They're liars, self-absorbed, they can fake things quite easily and rope in young and naive fans to get money. On the flip side of that, there are creepy fans and retarded parasocial stalkers that exist. All you know right now is there is a lack of information, that people are liars, that money is involved, and an "internet personality" is not exactly forthcoming in the totality of the situation. You have one-sided social media messages. If you're that gullible and susceptible to someone telling you a story, well be prepared to be let down in life.

Speaking for the USA and possibly UK to by the sound of it, stalking in general is not taken seriously by the police. Stalking laws are in dire need of reform. Police should be held legally responsible if they release a violent stalker with no more than a slap on the wrist. These people don't let up and the stalking only ever ends with the victim being forced to run away or face assault or murder. They need to be jailed and placed in therapy or involuntarily committed until they can be proven mentally stable. We also need stricter restraining orders and less proof/offenses to require one. I strongly doubt anyone is using restraining orders maliciously, so making the barrier to getting one so high only hurts the victim.

It ticks me off police don't take it serious.
In my state to get an order of protection (what my state calls it instead of restraining order) you have to have a relationship in some way to the person or the judge wont grant it.
In my state, if a streamer started being stalked and followed by some stranger that found them through social media or streaming services - a judge would not grant one. 😡

2:15 - she handled it right. The worse you can do is say their name, highlight their behavior, and give them attention.
Stalkers are fueled by those things, and will only be emboldened by them.
They will get more crazy, and act out in worse ways to get more of your attention.
The best thing is to not speak of them, report to police, and collect all the evidence you possibly can because sadly here in the states and most other countries stalking isnt taken as serious as it should be.
Stalking often starts from a distance, and unfortunately police often wont do anything because legally speaking - they havent done anything.
Police - oh, they are standing on the public sidewalk staring at your house for hours? Sorry, but they can legally do that!
Smh. The problem is they will get closer and closer til eventually they will cause physical harm.
The stalking harms mentally and emotionally, but police wont charge for that, and when it turns physical its often to late and someone ends up d*ad. 😔
Im a nurse, and worked on a psych ward for years.
Stalkers are obsessive and have no self control. They are extremely impulsive.
    That makes them EXTREMELY dangerous.
    No stalker is 'harmless'.
If you're being stalked you should take it very serious, and think of every way possible to protect yourself, and amp up any sort of security you have. Get cameras. Put extra locks on doors and windows. Do NOT post locations on social media. And take g*n safety course, get your carry license, and get armed. Stalkers are no joke and it IS only a matter of time before they switch from watching to actually attacking.
(Also, stalkers wont be stopped by a piece of paper - restraining order. So dont let your guard down once you get one.)

It always shocks me how few consequences there are for stalking/harassment/threats. Even when there's absolute proof and it happens over and over again, it seems to only result in a slap on the wrist and being told to stop until the victim ends up dead. There should be consequences from the first offence, and they should rapidly escalate to prison time if the behaviour continues. Nobody should have to live their life wondering if today is the day they get murdered. Nobody should get the benefit of the doubt right up until they actually murder someone when they're openly broadcasting their violent intentions.

Don't beat around the bushes. Everyone should be a vigilante. Stand up for what's right and protect those who can't protect themselves. I say we need to openly encourage people to do what the police won't, especially in a case as blatant as this. Don't pretend it was an accident, make it known that justice will always come one way or another, we're all in this together and we should care for one another. Don't let these people thrive on any square foot of our planet.
