That’s basically what the kids at my elementary school thought of the dentist in a rv/van that came to the school sometimes. Like rumors made it so far that kids thought the kids that go in there got hurt (they never did though, it was just a regular dentist lol). Gotta love kids making small things like going to the dentist out of proportions.
I love how the dentist threatened the kids to not tell but legit right after they went out of his office they told their parents everything. Those kids are really brave and smart.

I’m a dental assistant, but I also had experience with an abusive dentist as a child. I don’t remember him doing anything to me but I remember it happening to the other kids around me. He also told my mom she couldn’t come in the back and she thought that was just how things were. That dentist still has his practice as well and has not been arrested even though many others have come forward about abuse. Where I work now we have the parents come back if they want and if the kid is nervous we take our time to ease them. If that doesn’t we try to refer them out to a kids dentist. But we never force a child. I’ve seen so many adults with phobias of the dentist because of what they experienced.
That poor deaf mother.. knowing afterwards that her child had been screaming for her and because of her disability she couldn't help him. Must be heartbreaking.

This reminds me of a time I was going to the dentist and was strapped down with 3 thick velcro straps and had my feet held down by the dental assistants. I don’t know what they did but I remember being in insane pain and hearing the drill. When I came out my mom said my mouth was bleeding and I had a busted lip. I never went back to that place and hated going to the dentist ever since then.
I am a dentist, got my diploma this year, and this story is horrifying. The fact that a monster like this is allowed to do his job for so long would be unthinkable here in my country. Hell, a dentist in my town got his medical licence revoked because he accidentaly removed the wrong tooth. On a sidenote, the part about "children behaving better when the parents aren't next to them during check-ups" is actually true (in some cases). Some children know they can get whatever they want from their parents if they act up. This is why it's sometimes better if the child comes with someone else, like a grandparent or older brother/sister. It's also a way dentists measure a child's independency and maturity, by asking them if they want their parents with them during procedures, BUT it is forbidden to pressure them to be separated, if the child wants the parents around it would damage the trust that you are trying to build with your patient if you try to force it otherwise. Same with grown ups, if it still hurts, you either give an other injection or find a way to postpone the procedure so the patient doesn't leave with a traumatic experience.
Thank you for pointing that out. Kids *do* behave better without their parents in a lot of cases. However, you still need to make sure the kid isn’t getting ABUSED.
yeah I once had to have a tiny procedure on my toe and it probably would have been fast and painless if my grandmother didnt scare me so much about it that I cried and screamed. Luckily she hated dentists so much that she wouldnt go in there with me

Thats actually a common practice in the treatment of children in dentistry. When they badly misbehave, having their parents leave the room can help them accept their situation and let the team do the procedure. You have to ask the parents first of course. This guy was apparently doing that up-front, wich is sketchy to say the least.

Growing up relatively poor in Jacksonville back in the early 2000s I can say without a doubt in my mind i was one of this mans victims he ripped out four of my molars without any numbing or anything. I remember him saying that i was being a baby because i was screaming, I was 5-6 at the time and it has haunted me to this day I still have a major distrust of dentists that even after a year and confirming it with my older sister and mom that this is the dentist she took me to when we were on medicaid I still think about this video. Not necessarily... but it depends on the child. Some do better with their parents in the room some are better if their out the room. Personally it’s with them in the room, but if the parent should leave, the dentist should ask, not demand.
The part about the child screaming for his mom but her not being able to hear him on account of being deaf... Oh man, that part broke me. There's so many levels to that that immediately flooded through my mind. The kid knows his mother can't hear, but his instincts were to scream for her and she never came. Took one of my children to the dentist for their first visit once, barely had a full set of baby teeth. Dentist said they needed to break my childs jaw so the teeth would grow in correctly. We walked out... 17 years later my child has a perfect straight smile. I never trust dentists.
i was an idiot and let a money hungry dentist root canal and crown 3 teeth. never again. edit to clarify, they were unnecessary (my endodontist was rlly confused why he did it) and he didn’t even do the root canals right. open margins on the crowns caused a lot more issues as well. cagney scott, beware…
I had a dentist as a child. He was pull happy with pulling teeth. He destroyed my mouth as an adult because all the damage she did when I was a child. Now he's not in practice I can't even sue him. Now I have to deal with getting a partial plate every 5 years and that's quite expensive. If I can't afford in plan barely can afford my partial plate. It masked with my self-esteem. It messed with my image of who I look like to myself. I don't even smile anymore
a few years ago my dentist pulled out five teeth(I was completely knocked out, as in anistetics[can't spell it], and we were told beforehand how many teeth were being taken out), only problem is my teeth arranged i a weird way and now my K9s(again can't spell) are above the rest of my teeth, giving me 'fangs' but if I rub/scratch right below my nose, a little away from the noseholes I can feel my K9s, but I dunno if it's really a bad thing that my teeth went that way, my K9's are naturally longer than most peoples and I just have really sharp teeth so yeah, if may have avoided my lip from getting bloody constantly from biting it, but still, I can understand the self-image and not smiling thing(when I smile they're visisble)(I also need braces for my teeth[mainly the K9s lol] but we can't afford them) I had the (5)teeth taken out years ago, I'm 14 now and my K9s have been in for about 1 1/2 - 2 years, I think TL:DR Dentist took out five teeth a few ears ago, now my K9s are a pinky width below my nose I hope this made you feel better that I can kind of understand where you're coming from, have a good day/night!!

7:30 Reminds me of something a doctor did to me when I was 3. I heard him saying bad things, so I told him, "You're a bad man." He turned around with a big smile on his face and gleefully said, "Now you're gonna get a fat lip!" He took a scissor and snipped my lower lip. The nice doctor from the previous visit passed by at that moment and I turned to him with tears in my eyes. "No, don't do that to Brandon. He's a good kid." The bad doctor started to tell the other doctor that my parents were bad parents for leaving me alone with him. Then, he turned to me and said, "I'm a monster, and I'm going to eat your mommy!" When my mom came back, she asked the doctor what happened to my lip. He made up some excuse, but I didn't say a single word at all out of fear of what would happen to my mother. I didn't speak at all until my dad got home later. I cornered him and told him what happened. He laughed and told my mother. She looked at me worried, but that was it. Scariest moment of my life.
I totally agree! He may be dead now and that's a good reason! I just wanna go up to this guy and give him a piece of my mind! He had 5 whole decades of medical training yet still is a horrible dentist! He should've gone to jail! Who cares if he has some kind of mental illness or maybe just cuz he is old, atleast it's not such a big illness! I had this dentist as a kid and was super tramatized of dentists for a long time. I was like 6 and had to have a lot of work done of my teeth so of course they were trying to numb me with novacaine, but i was super scared of the needle. After a few minutes of me not being cooperitive (what else do you expect when you want to give a 6 year old a shot) he just decided to strap me onto the chair and just work on my teeth without novacaine. Most painful experience of my life. Literally my jaw dropped when i clicked on this video and heard him name, I thought for a while maybe I was crazy and maybe the pain was all in my head as a kid and that he did numb me or something after he restained me but now im pretty confident he didn't.
This is unbelievable. This man worked at a paediatric dentistry, where small children and kids with disabilities go to. My little brother has GDD and the thought of him being strapped to a table as his teeth are forcibly pulled from his mouth makes me want cry.

This gave me anxiety to hear as I can remember the sheer panic I had simply from one second too much of tooth removal without enough novacane which was immediately remedied. I was shaking. I can’t imagine how these poor children felt. And the fact that he didn’t serve time is pretty shameful
Ok so me and my dad had a "Demon Dentist" experience when I was 3. So I was just going to the dentist (we had been going to the same dentist for a while now). Now I didn't have perfect teeth and I had only had 1 filling, but after that my parents had to watch me brush my teeth to make sure. My father had gone first and was prescribed with a few drugs (painkillers) to ease his gum disease that he had. I was next and I had been giving a filling. About 6 months went by and we went for our next visit. My dad was told to up his dose and I was told to come about 2 weeks later for a root canal. As I said my teeth were perfectly fine but my Grandma was suspicious. She booked me in with her private dentist who told me my teeth were fine. Now up to this point all of the actions the dentist had done (or were going to do) had increased the price dramatically. My dad cancelled my operation but still continued along his prescribed dose. Unfortunately, we found out this dose was far too much and my father got severally I'll for a couple of months (we hadn't been able to pinpoint the problem and the doctor our dad went too couldn't figure it out either). Towards the end of our time period that time we had visited another doctor who pointed out the high dosage and told him to to tone it down. This doctor truly was a Demon. In the end everyone was fine (thank god I didn't have that root canal) while my Dad had a slight fear of Dentists for a few years.
This is horrifying. The worst part is not just the psychopath himself, but the fact that so many people went along with it. Imagine how many dental nurses must've helped him during 50 years of malpractice. Imagine how many times police was called and they did nothing. Sure, a couple of reports might've been ignored due to lack of evidence and etc. But it gets more suspicious once the reports start piling up. Maybe the local sheriff was also on his payroll. Then there's Medicaid who were happy to pay up and not even once came to investigate this guy's crazy number of teeth operations per day. He must've been one of the most, if not the single most expensive dentist on their payroll. And he managed to keep these numbers up for a long, sustained time. And of course, he also chose poor patients so that they wouldn't be able to take him to court, or would be forced to settle. Most of it happened in a time before social media, when people couldn't publicize what happened to them unless they convinced a news station. It's simply absurd, this man couldn't have lasted so long by himself. So many factors collaborated with him. Just imagine having this done to your kid and not being able to do anything about it.
They don't give a rats ass about patients over at Medicaid and Medicare. As long as they can get a check in the end they'll do whatever for it. I've had them try and deny needed medical procedures until my doctor had to sign off saying that it was a necessary procedure which could impact my life negatively if it wasn't preformed.

Everything everyone is saying in their replies reminds me of a character I wrote named Rick Jones, a vigilante dubbed The Terrorizer. When it comes to specific assholes like Schneider and their co-conspirators, Rick would torture them for up to a month. Even though a bullet to the head would be justice enough, Rick would torture them however he felt like it and would tell his friends/co-conspirators that "A fuckin' bullet isn't justice enough, nor will it ever be".
I went to a dentist when I was only two and three constantly. My mother just believed I had bad teeth already because I was breastfeed. I have memories of going in a waiting room/arcade beyond the waiting room my mom was in by myself and waiting alone until I was taken back into the actual room where the dentist was. I wasn't the only child in there neither. There were three or four other girls sitting in children's plastic chairs next to the examination chair. We were in a row all next to each other like we were in a assembly line and told to be quiet. I think we all were a little scared of him, the guy honestly did give me the creeps. Later the dentist was charged with doing a lot of unnecessary procedures like fillings when there were no cavities to begin with to make more money.
He was incompetent at the point when he stood trial, probably because by the time proceedings started he had dementia. He had already retired by then, they were probably trying to, rightfully, seize his assets.
So... a really disgusting, evil man got away with all his crimes, not getting any real punishment for all the scarring and traumatizing he did to children, because he's "too old". Great, I sure do love this legal system.

Exactly, Pediatrics is a very sensitive field and unsurprisingly on of the most filled with reports of abuse both psychically and sexually from professionals that work in it. Why it's not more scrutinized is one of the greatest mysteries, but it should be.
A couple days ago I had my last two wisdom teeth removed (luckily whilst under local anesthetic) and this results in taking pain medication for at least a week straight because if I don't, it hurts too much. The thought of these children having to go through the same thing, but with double or triple the amount of teeth taken out is horrendous. Hope they're alright now.

I remember as a kid I was extremely frightened at the dentist (it was right after we'd moved to a new area, my previous dentist was actually a family member) and the hygienist said that if I (at about 6 years old) didn't start stop being scared and start cooperating, she was going to send my mom from the room. My mom's response: "You're going to send *who* from the room?" 😡

I’m a dental assistant, but I also had experience with an abusive dentist as a child. I don’t remember him doing anything to me but I remember it happening to the other kids around me. He also told my mom she couldn’t come in the back and she thought that was just how things were. That dentist still has his practice as well and has not been arrested even though many others have come forward about abuse.
Where I work now we have the parents come back if they want and if the kid is nervous we take our time to ease them. If that doesn’t we try to refer them out to a kids dentist. But we never force a child. I’ve seen so many adults with phobias of the dentist because of what they experienced.
Especially whn that's impossible lol kids are way more comfortable w their parents!

This reminds me of a time I was going to the dentist and was strapped down with 3 thick velcro straps and had my feet held down by the dental assistants. I don’t know what they did but I remember being in insane pain and hearing the drill. When I came out my mom said my mouth was bleeding and I had a busted lip. I never went back to that place and hated going to the dentist ever since then.

I am a dentist, got my diploma this year, and this story is horrifying. The fact that a monster like this is allowed to do his job for so long would be unthinkable here in my country. Hell, a dentist in my town got his medical licence revoked because he accidentaly removed the wrong tooth.
On a sidenote, the part about "children behaving better when the parents aren't next to them during check-ups" is actually true (in some cases). Some children know they can get whatever they want from their parents if they act up. This is why it's sometimes better if the child comes with someone else, like a grandparent or older brother/sister. It's also a way dentists measure a child's independency and maturity, by asking them if they want their parents with them during procedures, BUT it is forbidden to pressure them to be separated, if the child wants the parents around it would damage the trust that you are trying to build with your patient if you try to force it otherwise. Same with grown ups, if it still hurts, you either give an other injection or find a way to postpone the procedure so the patient doesn't leave with a traumatic experience.

Thats actually a common practice in the treatment of children in dentistry. When they badly misbehave, having their parents leave the room can help them accept their situation and let the team do the procedure. You have to ask the parents first of course. This guy was apparently doing that up-front, wich is sketchy to say the least.

Growing up relatively poor in Jacksonville back in the early 2000s I can say without a doubt in my mind i was one of this mans victims he ripped out four of my molars without any numbing or anything. I remember him saying that i was being a baby because i was screaming, I was 5-6 at the time and it has haunted me to this day I still have a major distrust of dentists that even after a year and confirming it with my older sister and mom that this is the dentist she took me to when we were on medicaid I still think about this video. Thank you for finally giving me proof that this man is an absolute monster who scared me and dozens of other children

Idk. why but sometimes it's actually. Thou dentist should never persist on it. Especially if the child is frightened. I remember that my mom/dad usually stayed with me. Maybe it's better, because later he was called out for working on more teeth than neccessary. In his case it was surerly for money. The older I got, I realized it was better to go alone. Idk. why but my parents in the room made me even more nervous.
The dentist I go to they also do that, they're nice people tho. I don't really mind it but my little brother seems to hate it, he used to start crying and begging for my mum to go with him.

Took one of my children to the dentist for their first visit once, barely had a full set of baby teeth. Dentist said they needed to break my childs jaw so the teeth would grow in correctly. We walked out... 17 years later my child has a perfect straight smile. I never trust dentists.

I had a dentist as a child. He was pull happy with pulling teeth. He destroyed my mouth as an adult because all the damage she did when I was a child. Now he's not in practice I can't even sue him. Now I have to deal with getting a partial plate every 5 years and that's quite expensive. If I can't afford in plan barely can afford my partial plate. It masked with my self-esteem. It messed with my image of who I look like to myself. I don't even smile anymore

a few years ago my dentist pulled out five teeth(I was completely knocked out, as in anistetics[can't spell it], and we were told beforehand how many teeth were being taken out), only problem is my teeth arranged i a weird way and now my K9s(again can't spell) are above the rest of my teeth, giving me 'fangs' but if I rub/scratch right below my nose, a little away from the noseholes I can feel my K9s, but I dunno if it's really a bad thing that my teeth went that way, my K9's are naturally longer than most peoples and I just have really sharp teeth so yeah, if may have avoided my lip from getting bloody constantly from biting it, but still, I can understand the self-image and not smiling thing(when I smile they're visisble)(I also need braces for my teeth[mainly the K9s lol] but we can't afford them)
I had the (5)teeth taken out years ago, I'm 14 now and my K9s have been in for about 1 1/2 - 2 years, I think

7:30 Reminds me of something a doctor did to me when I was 3. I heard him saying bad things, so I told him, "You're a bad man." He turned around with a big smile on his face and gleefully said, "Now you're gonna get a fat lip!" He took a scissor and snipped my lower lip. The nice doctor from the previous visit passed by at that moment and I turned to him with tears in my eyes. "No, don't do that to Brandon. He's a good kid." The bad doctor started to tell the other doctor that my parents were bad parents for leaving me alone with him. Then, he turned to me and said, "I'm a monster, and I'm going to eat your mommy!"
When my mom came back, she asked the doctor what happened to my lip. He made up some excuse, but I didn't say a single word at all out of fear of what would happen to my mother. I didn't speak at all until my dad got home later. I cornered him and told him what happened. He laughed and told my mother. She looked at me worried, but that was it. Scariest moment of my life.

I had this dentist as a kid and was super tramatized of dentists for a long time. I was like 6 and had to have a lot of work done of my teeth so of course they were trying to numb me with novacaine, but i was super scared of the needle. After a few minutes of me not being cooperitive (what else do you expect when you want to give a 6 year old a shot) he just decided to strap me onto the chair and just work on my teeth without novacaine. Most painful experience of my life. Literally my jaw dropped when i clicked on this video and heard him name, I thought for a while maybe I was crazy and maybe the pain was all in my head as a kid and that he did numb me or something after he restained me but now im pretty confident he didn't.
That man deserves to feel the pain that he inflicted on those innocent children

Ok so me and my dad had a "Demon Dentist" experience when I was 3.
So I was just going to the dentist (we had been going to the same dentist for a while now). Now I didn't have perfect teeth and I had only had 1 filling, but after that my parents had to watch me brush my teeth to make sure. My father had gone first and was prescribed with a few drugs (painkillers) to ease his gum disease that he had. I was next and I had been giving a filling. About 6 months went by and we went for our next visit. My dad was told to up his dose and I was told to come about 2 weeks later for a root canal. As I said my teeth were perfectly fine but my Grandma was suspicious. She booked me in with her private dentist who told me my teeth were fine. Now up to this point all of the actions the dentist had done (or were going to do) had increased the price dramatically. My dad cancelled my operation but still continued along his prescribed dose. Unfortunately, we found out this dose was far too much and my father got severally I'll for a couple of months (we hadn't been able to pinpoint the problem and the doctor our dad went too couldn't figure it out either). Towards the end of our time period that time we had visited another doctor who pointed out the high dosage and told him to to tone it down. This doctor truly was a Demon.
In the end everyone was fine (thank god I didn't have that root canal) while my Dad had a slight fear of Dentists for a few years.

This is horrifying. The worst part is not just the psychopath himself, but the fact that so many people went along with it.
Imagine how many dental nurses must've helped him during 50 years of malpractice.
Imagine how many times police was called and they did nothing. Sure, a couple of reports might've been ignored due to lack of evidence and etc. But it gets more suspicious once the reports start piling up. Maybe the local sheriff was also on his payroll.
Then there's Medicaid who were happy to pay up and not even once came to investigate this guy's crazy number of teeth operations per day. He must've been one of the most, if not the single most expensive dentist on their payroll. And he managed to keep these numbers up for a long, sustained time.
And of course, he also chose poor patients so that they wouldn't be able to take him to court, or would be forced to settle.
Most of it happened in a time before social media, when people couldn't publicize what happened to them unless they convinced a news station.
It's simply absurd, this man couldn't have lasted so long by himself. So many factors collaborated with him. Just imagine having this done to your kid and not being able to do anything about it.

They don't give a rats ass about patients over at Medicaid and Medicare. As long as they can get a check in the end they'll do whatever for it. I've had them try and deny needed medical procedures until my doctor had to sign off saying that it was a necessary procedure which could impact my life negatively if it wasn't preformed.

Disgruntled dentist beats up a child and takes out multiple teeth and the authorities can't do anything about it? Heck no. I'd be calling the cops, posting it all over the internet to ruin his name, starting petitions, having a case filed against him... Anything to bring justice because this is so messed up.

I went to a dentist when I was only two and three constantly. My mother just believed I had bad teeth already because I was breastfeed. I have memories of going in a waiting room/arcade beyond the waiting room my mom was in by myself and waiting alone until I was taken back into the actual room where the dentist was. I wasn't the only child in there neither. There were three or four other girls sitting in children's plastic chairs next to the examination chair. We were in a row all next to each other like we were in a assembly line and told to be quiet. I think we all were a little scared of him, the guy honestly did give me the creeps. Later the dentist was charged with doing a lot of unnecessary procedures like fillings when there were no cavities to begin with to make more money.

A couple days ago I had my last two wisdom teeth removed (luckily whilst under local anesthetic) and this results in taking pain medication for at least a week straight because if I don't, it hurts too much. The thought of these children having to go through the same thing, but with double or triple the amount of teeth taken out is horrendous. Hope they're alright now.
