it's a great idea, but it seems that you created a selection of the portrait (via the Selection Brush) at least twice. Couldn't you have saved the selection to a spare channel and reused it as needed, or was the selection different each time?
yes my mistake I realized after the video that I forgot to mention that I inverted the portrait's selection to select the background. The selection should have been done once -- select the portrait and then inverted to select the background. Alternatively you could also save the selection and reuse as needed. I need to watch the video a second time to analyze the steps. May I suggest that next time, if possible also provide a link to the photo you used, so that we we try a different approach we can compare to your videos
