In the both books that I've been reading, we see some mention of Marie de Guise especially early on as well as her regency. But I don't remember really hearing of her other half brother, if he was mentioned, it was fleeting. Do we know if she knew of him, if she's ever written him? Or did he die young?
he didn't die that young and I believe that they were in France at the same time as Marie de Guise saw her son one last time when she visited her family there
