Nice video, thanks for sharing. Pre-Katrina I used to live on Washington 1/2 block off St. Charles and would love hearing those red cars going back to Carrollton Barn at night. They had a very distinctive sound vs. the green Perleys. You would hear a roar coming across corners, until they were very close, then one could hear that weird whining sound. Check out my book, "Streetcars of New Orleans 1964-Present" I consider myself to be New Orleans #1 streetcar fan!!!
