The Bible uses the metaphor of a refiner's fire to describe GOD'S purification of people, and some relevant scriptures include: Malachi 2:17-3:6: The Lord is like a refiner's fire that purifies, melts, and separates impurities. Malachi 3:2-3: God is a refiner's fire that purifies people like gold and silver, removing impurities and making them righteous. Job 23:10: "When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold". Psalm 139:23: "Purpose of the trial is to draw out our hidden sins". Zechariah 13:9: "And I will bring the third part through the fire, refine them as silver is refined, and test them as gold is tested". Hebrews 12:28-29: "Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire". Isaiah 1:24, 25: Fire is a repeated theme of this book.
FYI "fire" is God's judgement and is nothing that we believers should be calling down! The way these guys are using the word fire, is a false doctrine
Hebrews 12:29
